Sadly after walking across the city to find this world famous attraction, I was told that you have to book 4 to 6 weeks in advance. As I can't see me coming again to Amsterdam, I will never see it. 😥 I was also surprised to find the house in a fairly modern building? Nothing like the delightful buildings surrounding it.

Très émouvant . Incontournable!!!
On est plongé dans l'univers de cette maison où a vécu Anne Franck , sa famille , un médecin et une autre famille.La maison entière se visite , on part du magasin d'épices de son père et on monte jusqu'au 3 ème étage en écoutant l'audio guide.
Les pièces sont d'origine , tapisserie , évier , WC , ect..
Moi qui pensait qu'elle était cachée dans 2 pièces derrière les murs , j'ai été surprise de la grandeur de l'appartement qu'ils avaient caché aux allemands.
Trop peu de places , il faut impérativement réserver 2 mois avant , et seulement le mardi sur internet. Si vous rater le coche , il n'y a plus de places.

Vandaar met mijn man en zoontje van bijna 8 naar het museum geweest.
Fijn dat er voor hem een audio tour was op een kindvriendelijke manier. Het verhaal werd vanuit Anne verteld.
Voor ons de normale audio tour.
Na wat informatie kwamen we bij de boekenkast.
Ook alle kamers gezien waar de onderduikers ruim 2 jaar zaten,
Mooi om te zien dat er veel geschiedenis en spullen bewaard zijn gebleven.
Zeker de moeite waard om te gaan kijken!
Helaas geen foto’s mogen maken, maar wel op internet een aantal foto’s te vinden.

This museum and secret annex visit are a must do for anyone and everyone. Anne’s story is so impactful and important. The museum audio guide and placards are very well done to inform you but keep the flow of the museum. Wish there were a couple more opportunities to sit in the museum portion as someone who has chronic pain, but it was all worth it to be in this place.

While the house itself is worth visiting, the crowds are not. We booked our slot for 10:30am, and already had a huge crowd of people all in the same time slot. The museum could manage the tour times and capacity better, so visitors are not on top of each other. You walk slowly from room to room, and are rushed to the next room- without proper time to take in story. The audio tour guide that you are given is also very glitchy and ours was constantly skipping - as a result we would have to stop the audio guide and scan the audio again to start over.

Me and the wife did the self guided tour, where you scan the icons on the wall and listen to the headset. It’s a must do in Amsterdam, it’s sad and quite harrowing, especially in the area where they hid, but very informative and great to remember these people that went through so much. Would 100% recommend it’s a must do in Amsterdam. My advice would be however you need to book well in advance, think we booked it about 5-6 weeks before we arrived In Amsterdam.

I highly recommend this experience. We did the 30-minute intro which was helpful in understanding the times and Anne Frank’s life. We purchased our tickets the 6 weeks early as recommended at exactly 10:00 am Amsterdam time. They sell out very quickly.

i tried booking the anne frank house museum on the official website for july 1st (it is june 3). every single date was greyed out. do i have to book it when they are open? i tried booking it when the museum was closed so do i have to wait for them to open? or is it just all sold out?

When my wife and I purchased tickets, we did not have our names on them. I do not believe it will make a difference.

Ciao per acquistare i biglietti disponibili la mattina alle 9 per il giorno della visita bisogna registrarsi prima al sito?
Io non riesco a capire come devo fare per acquistarli, clicco sul giorno ma mi fa vedere sempre che non c'è nessuna disponibilità di biglietti per tutto il giono.
Forse sbaglio qualcosa?

If you have the ticket with the orientation 30 minute program and the ticket is for three 15–3 45 can you arrive any time during that time. Or do you need to get there at 3:15?

You should be there a few minutes ahead of the initial time. My tickets were for 9:45. They didn’t have us line up until 9:40. We went in at 9:45.

I have booked tickets but when the ticket has come through, it just has my name as my first initial and then my first name. I have emailed them but not had a response. Do they check ID against the ticket name?

No, they do not check the name. When you enter the museum, you week scan your ticket on an e-reader.

Buonasera a tutti, vorrei visitare la casa di Anna Frank, dato che sono in giro tutto il giorno per visitare anche la città, avrei con me lo zaino.
E' possibile entrare con lo zaino o almeno lasciarlo in un guardaroba? Sto cercando info su internet ma non riesco a trovare una risposta esaustiva...almeno se voi ci siete già stati potete per favore indirizzarmi nel modo corretto.

Buongiorno Giuseppe, si è possibile. C’è un servizio di guardaroba gratuito dove al personale si possono lasciare zaini e giacche. Non è obbligatorio depositarlo ma è consigliabile perché gli spazi all’interno sono ristretti. Buona visita.

I am looking to get ticket when they come available soon. A little confused why do people queue? If you have a prebooked ticket do you still queue? If I was to book time slot 5-5:15 will I have to queue for long then this time slot?

No you don’t need to queue but make sure time slot is booked. People get there early with tickets. Book with introductory talk .
