My family of 4 is checking out today after staying for 2N. It was a very comfortable and restful place after Airbnb in Osaka. 4 firm beds and choice of pillows. Towels are aplenty- they don’t restrict to just 4. Onsen at top floor was very very relaxing - my son despite his initial misgiving wanted to use it again and again. Drinks dispenser are located on alternate floors. Wash area and WC are separated by a wall which gives privacy and does not disturb sleeping family members.
Our room has a full view of Mount Fuji which is awesome and majestic!
Bfast n dinnerare good and staffs are attentive and polite. Front desk recept spokegood English!
Located 5m walk to FujiQ Highland station. However, finding other foods outside of the hotel
Might be challenging but we managed to. I would100pct recommend this hotel to anyone. Keep up the good work!

We went to Kawaguchiko on winter (honestly, February 2019) with elderly and kids.. so we were looking for western type of room, accessible from Kawaguchiko station and quite affordable.
Since we plan the visit quite early, we found good deal for this hotel. Rooms with view to Mt Fuji was first come first serve..we didn’t get it but never mind, view on the other side was also nice, and we get to see Fuji-san from the restaurant during breakfast.
This hotel would be nice for those who also plan to visit nearby Fuji Q Highland. But if you’re heading to Kawaguchiko Station, it’s not within walking distance.
We took local buses which was a bit tricky (especially in the evening) since we can’t read the bus service, and the bus stops were rather unnoticeable. So please consider and spare some time transporting to and from Kawaguchiko Station.
The property is considerably new, the room was spacious and nice. The only issue was no ramp, we had to climb staircase to the lobby, along with our luggages.
Check in was smooth. We booked 3 rooms but due to peak season, none located within same floor. Pajamas, slippers (even for kids) and toiletries were well provided in the lobby.
We also had dinner and breakfast in the hotel. All were nice and the menus were quite vary.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the onsen on top floor. Still, we had a pleasant stay.

Booked a room and we did not expect to have a stunningly beautiful view of Mt.Fuji from our room in reality. We did ask for any rooms on higher floor and the staff gave us room number 622 which was (we thought) the best room. Why? This room was the last room of the 6th floor, so there were 2 windows that we could see 2 sides of the town. We did ask a hotel how could we get to the hotel. The staff was so supportive and kindly told us to alight a train at Fuji Q Highland station, where is easier to walk to the hotel. On 7th floor is a massive onsen. We want to stay here again and again. xxx

Beware of this hotel that dishonest in disclosed the additional fee for children breakfast. I have booked this hotel via Agoda, during booking I have stated very clearly I'm one adult travel with one kid at age 11 years old, chosen the option must include breakfast, paid a mountain view hotel room at expensive price, even double checked on the booking voucher clearly stated accommodation for one adult and one child, "Breakfast included". To my very surprise when checked in at 4pm, was told have to pay additional breakfast fee for my boy at 900 yen per breakfast, which did not disclose at all during booking. Not I have no money to pay this but I felt cheated. Do you expect family travel with kids only can book breakfast for adult and kids do not need to eat breakfast?
Subsequent days in Tokyo I have also booked hotel room via Agoda which stated kids below 12yo stay for free and included breakfast, and it was included breakfast for kids too.
Wasted my time arguing and checking at reception until 5pm and sky getting dark, I'm not getting any chance to have sightseeing around, next day 11am SHARP they called to check out. Spent such most expensive price during my entire stay in this hotel is totally not worth it at all, can't see the mount Fuji from my Mountain View room because on the check-in time the sky already dark, next morning is too cloudy not even can see the mountain. The in house onsen is so so only, you could enjoy better one anywhere. You have to queue for breakfast. We went down 820am,have to wait until 9am only can go in, 9.30am they told you the restaurant is going to close.
Not worth the money spent.

Thank you for staying at HOTEL MYSTAYS Fuji Onsen Resort. We appreciate you taking the time to write to us. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologize for the confusing indication of the meal charge for children. As stated in the hotel policy section on the agoda.com website, children's meals are NOT inclusive. However, the indication only appears in the beginning of your booking process, and does not appear on your final confirmation email. You do have to read the fine print before you finalize your booking. It is our aim to provide a comfortable stay for all our guests, thus the stressful situation you have had to experience is a serious concern for us. We will continue to work hard in clarifying the situation, however, please be kindly noted that we do not have full control of how our policies are reflected and registered on the various booking websites. -Please accept our sincere apology for the wait you had to experience for your breakfast in the morning. It is our huge regret that due to the limited capacity of our restaurant, waiting is sometimes inevitable despite of our hardest attempt to prevent it. -We are also sorry for the wait you had to experience for our restaurant. We will continue to work hard to improve our service and operation in the future. -Please accept our sincere apology for the wait you had to experience for your breakfast in the morning. Hi Konna san & Hotel Mystays Fuji Onsen Resort,

It’s a great hotel for 5 of us to stay here. The room was clean so the bathroom either, the air con works properly. At the time we were leaving, I forgot my cellphone which I put it on the bed. I remembered after 5 hours left and we were at Tokyo that time. I called the hotel and there was a front desk staff name Konna san, she’s the one who help me to find my cellphone and she managed to help me to send it by Post Mail and I received it the next day with nicely wrapped inside the box. Don't stay anywhere when you look for accommodation, you won't regret it.

The hotel is located in an area that has lesser activities compared to the hotels in Kawaguichiko. This hotel is located near the Fujikyu Highland station which has an amusement park just next to the station. Walking to the hotel from the station is easy, less than a 10-minute walk. There are some shops (including a supermarket) and restaurants not too far from the station.

We booked a room with a view of Mt Fuji, but due to the weather, we did not get to see Mt Fuji from our room and that is a pity.

The sized of the hotel is considered spacious with the necessary amenities. It has an onsen which we can use free of charge.

Staff speak good English and are able to provide the necessary information we are looking for.

The only downside is that this location is not as vibrant as compared to the hotels in Kawaguchiko station.

We stayed for 1 night in a 'view of Mount Fuji' room and were disappointed. Our view was incredible! The bed was slow ghtly softer than others we've stayed in in Japan and pillows of slightly better quality. Air con worked a treat, black our curtains also good. Room size was small but bigger than some others we've stayed in with space to sit around a small table and enjoy the view. Great shower

Onsen - UK visitors beware this is a nude onsen (most in Japan are) This was a bit of a culture shock to me when I arrived but my advice is to enbrace in! The onsen is also split male & female (me and my husband made the mistake of taking 1 room key thinking it would be combined) We both still enjoyed the onsen. The view of Fuji from the female onsen was much superior to that from the male onsen (so my husband says) facilties to wash, clean, dry etc all available when leaving the onsen too.

Food - We didn't haven't breakfast here but did have dinner - It's a buffet style dinner at ¥4000 each and was well worth it. Included hot and cold drinks and a wide selection of food. We enjoyed trying new and local dishes.Would definitely stay again when revisiting

This is a hotel catered for large tour groups. Encounters with such guests left a bitter and terrible experience. One woman brought her handphone into the onsen bath and changing room to take photos. Another family jumped into the onsen tub without showering and one of them started washing herself in the onsen. Although the photos on the hotel website featured the onsen overlooking Mount Fuji, the reality is, there is an opaque sticker on the window when you sit in the onsen so basically you’re looking at a plain silver sticker and not Mount Fuji. The sticker is probably there for modesty reasons (the roller coaster seems higher than the onsen on the 7th floor). Dinner and breakfast were buffet-style and the type of food was catered for large tour groups. Some of the guests shoved to get their food which was really unpleasant. Getting around for guests who do not drive is inconvenient. The hotel is located at a junction on a slope. The bus stops were not conspicuous and clearly defined. There were also not much dining options around the hotel. The nearest train station was Fujikyu-Highland which is an amusement park and about 400m away down the slope. The only positive experience at the hotel were the professional and polite front desk staff.

Location is great and room is nice and spacious, but i have major complaint about the booking. When i book a room with a view of Fuji and pay extra for it then i expect to get a room with a view. Not a room with a view of Pachinko blocking my view of Fuji.
All of the rooms on the west end have a building blocking the view at lower levels. I had to complain twice before getting a room with view matching the booking. This is not good service. Be careful when booking room with a view of Fuji.

Dear Guest Thank you for staying with us at HOTEL MYSTAYS Fuji Onsen Resort. We are pleased to receive your generous review despite of the incident you have described in your review. We are sorry that the view from the room did not live up to your expectations. Although guests select a Fuji view room hoping to have a nice view of Mt. Fuji, that cannot be arranged when such rooms are unavailable. We would like to kindly ask for your understanding in our policy to assign the rooms in order of reservation. Thank you again for taking the time to review us. We hope we can serve you again at our hotel in the near future. Kind regards, Hotel Mystays Fuji Onsen Resort Matsuo

To celebrate my birthday, I planned a trip to Tokyo and Osaka in Oct this year. I haven’t been visiting Tokyo and wanna visiting Mt. Fuji as well. After doing some research, I chose this hotel for 2 nights stay. The front desk staff is quite good in English but I tried to communicate with him in Japanese 😅😅. He explained clearly the facilities in the hotel. Breakfast and dinner were included during my stay. You may view the Mt. Fuji if the weather is fine during breakfast time. The onsen is good too. Although the dinner was just ok. The price is reasonable and it’s highly recommended to stay here to visit Mt. Fuji and it is just a few minutes walk to the Fuji Highland!

Hotel MyStays is a 400 metre walk from Fujikyu Highlans station. Fujikyu Highlands station is one station from Mt Fulji station. There are regular local trains between those stations. So you'd need to return from 5th Station to Mt Fuji station to catch a local/tourist train for that one stop.

As I was a member of an organised tour group that stayed overnight at the hotel, our trip to Base 5 of Mount Fuji was by coach. As others have said, the hotel can easily arrange a taxi to where you want to go; I cannot be sure how long it takes to get there but I would have thought it was no more than about an hour.
