Visited today at 8.as a family. Had seen the dim sum being made fresh (in the window) during the day and was keen to try. Xiao long bao were very nice and authentic, gyoza were also very fresh with firm pork and prawn filling, wonton soup delicious with tiny crispy shrimp for saltiness, overall everything very fresh and delicious. Also extremely reasonably priced, just €60 for a family of four. We also had some wakame salad and a couple of bao buns too. I would give 4.5 stars overall, with a small deduction for the bao buns being a bit tough and more veg needed on the menu. I would happily pay more for this quality and freshness of food. Hope they succeed.

Excellent food, nice service, beautiful atmosphere. We went there several times and tried almost the whole menu. Our favorites are ramen soup and prawn dumplings!

I often need a break from Asian cuisine and for this lunch my choice was for dim sum in an establishment in Poblenou, being in the neighborhood. Dim sum is a traditional Chinese meal consisting of small plates of dumplings and other snacks and is usually accompanied by tea. In the same way that Spaniards eat tapas, dishes are shared with family and friends. Typically, dim sum is eaten during brunch hours, from late morning to lunch. Dim sum dishes include an assortment of seafood, meat and vegetable dishes that are prepared in a variety of ways: steamed, fried or baked. Located in Sant Marti but also apparently in Castelldefels, here we cook 100% homemade dim sum made daily in an artisanal and traditional way, using fresh and local products. This restaurant has a very fashionable decor, with white Chinese umbrellas on the ceiling and neon lights. It’s not a restaurant that wants to be traditional, with dragons or Chinese landscapes, it wants to be modern and contemporary. The menu is actually the paper placemat with a photo which is therefore the proposal for Dim Sums, noodle soups and other dishes prepared in the kitchen. Unlike other restaurants that use frozen food for dishes, their kitchen team is responsible for preparing the dumplings, broths and different Chinese tapas they offer at home. We will have a wakame salad which is a dish made from seaweed which has its origins in Japanese cuisine. Wakame (Undaria pinnatifida) is an edible and nutritious marine algae, widely consumed in East Asia, particularly Japan, Korea and China. The first traces of wakame consumption date back several centuries. Historians believe that the Japanese began cultivating and consuming this seaweed around the 8th century, during the Nara period (710-794 AD). Wakame was later introduced to Korea and China, where it was quickly adopted and integrated into their respective cuisines. Wakame's crunchy, slightly chewy texture, combined with its subtle marine flavor, makes it the perfect base for a refreshing and delicious salad. The rice vinegar adds a tangy note, while the soy sauce imparts a salty, umami flavor that enhances and complements the other ingredients. Grilled pork Gyozas (Jiaozi), especially eaten in northern China, also called Chinese dumplings or Beijing dumplings. Jiaozi is a food made from a flour paste, enveloping a stuffing which can be composed of different foods such as pork, beef, shrimp or vegetables. Xiao Long Bao also known as Chinese broth dumplings, is a type of dim sum that is often acclaimed as the pinnacle of man-made culinary perfection. This dish is a true gastronomic treasure that combines tradition and know-how. Wrapped in a light and tender dough, these exquisite bites are filled with a blend of meat and vegetables with an ultra-aromatic broth, which elevates their flavor and makes them irresistible to Chinese food aficionados. The technique used to trap the broth inside the dough is an art in itself, requiring great skill and patience. But be careful when eating them because you risk burning your lips... Shaomai with pork and shrimp. Just to point out at this point, that all dishes are made from scratch in the restaurant's kitchen. Generally, Shaomai in Chinese restaurants are frozen and purchased from suppliers. The taste of these Shaomai from 101 Dim Sum Restaurant was absolutely perfect. A dish that I love when done well, what they call rice cake with chicken and vegetables but which in reality is called Lo Mai Gai which is a classic Chinese dim sum dish composed of sticky rice steamed with pieces of chicken and various meats wrapped in a fragrant lotus leaf. Here it is particularly well cooked. Here we find delicious ravioli prepared every day with local products, wrapped in a silky and fine dough, which gives the 101 dim sum a unique consistency. This table offers excellent value for money that will allow you to order any cocktail or drink while enjoying a quality lunch or dinner.
