Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Although it has some setbacks. The breakfast was not that amazing and the place had inadequate lighting. Beach lounging chairs need to be replaced with much more comfortable types. Additional DSA's should be provided for smoking guests like us as it was very inconvenient because there were only 2. Water filtration in the bathrooms should be addressed quickly as guests surely tasted salt water while brushing their teeth.

I never imagine that my brother, his wife and I will really experience a relaxing & enjoyable vacation inspite of the news about NCov in Bohol.
Since day 1 (my reservation) their staff, Maricel (Manila Ofc) and Grace (Cebu Ofc) were both courteous and accommodating. The day we arrived in the hotel we felt the warm welcome of the staff especially by Kevin & Kenneth. We were given cool drinks while waiting for our room. Our room (303) which is near the pool area was clean with two (I think) queen size bed and an extra bed which we requested. There's a complimentary drinks and kisses peanuts everyday. There's also a safety deposit box inside the cabinet, tv, a writing table and a spacious bathroom with complete amenities. There's a free buffet breakfast with various choices of food except some of the fruits served were either a bit dry (pineapple) and some not yet ripe (papaya/watermelon). I noticed their restaurant staff were all attentive in serving the guests. They always have a ready smile and all were very courteous. One waiter (sorry I was not able to get his name) even gave me the bread I requested eventhough its a bit late. The pools were well maintained and lifeguards were present not only near the pool area but also in the beach area as well. And I feel safe seeing their Security personnel roving around the beach area every now and then. You need to try their massage services. It was really great. My sister-inlaw had the Swedish plus foot reflexology massage done by Glodie while mine was swedish massage with hot stone by Mary. I was able to sleep soundly and my shoulder pain were all gone the following morning. My brother and his wife who are travelers said that it was the best vacation they ever had. And Im so happy because I was the one who arranged it all.
No need to worry about the NCov since South Palms are concern about their guests well being. They have friendly, courteous personnel taking the temperature of their guests. They have a small bp monitoring unit which my brother and I used. And I think some med kits ready.
Try this resort guys and I promise you won't be sorry. Please take note this is not a paid advertisement but my personal experience last Feb 4 to 6, 2020.

Stayed here with family several times and we had the best service from staff every visit. Staff are very attentive and never miss to greet you even though they are busy with their task. I could tell they enjoy and love working in South Palms. The rooms are very well kept and cleaned. Cleaning is done morning and evening plus the special goods and wine whenever your celebrating special occasions. Mom and Dad were surprised and overwhelmed with the special attention. The long white beach is is so relaxing and peaceful. In South Palms you can see spectacular sunrise in the morning and breathtaking sunset in the afternoon just hope for good weather. Food in the restaurant are very delicious especially seafoods. Oceanica restaurant served the best food we ever ate. In the morning after breakfast, we tried the free kayaking with my siblings. They were really happy. Spa services offered in the Zenses, spa are the best I have ever had. Take advantage of their spa happy hour time to get 20% discount 10am to 2pm. We look forward to stay here again. Even my extended family and friends abroad are dying to stay here.

The place is secluded and access to the main road would be a challenge so you'll get all the privacy you want. The room we stayed at is average, nothing special. It has a loong stretch of white sand beach and it's not crowded so this is the place to get all that instagrammable shots. However, food is expensive, with limited choices, it takes eons to get served and taste is below average. We were glad we only got an overnight booking because evrything is unreasonably expensive.

Stayed in deluxe pool view and this our 2nd time in Southpalms (3nights and 4days). It was great. Welcome service staff are very polite and very attentive as well as their staff in restaurant and housekeeping.
However, we just want to share our abysmal experience from their CSR and Accounting Dept. I wired the money through online banking 4weeks before our booking schedule. After that, I asked for their confirmation and it took 3 days for them to reply that they still could not confirm my payment and they have already forwarded this issue to their accounting dept. After 15days, I received an email from their CSR, saying that their accounting dept. could not locate the money. Imagine the inconvenience that they brought to us. We had an international flight, scheduled on that day going to Philippines and I received an email from them that their accounting could not locate the money. (I don't know if their accounting is really doing their job.)I told them that I have already received a confirmation transaction from my bank as well as an sms that the money was transferred successfully. I even called up and went to the bank 6 hours before our flight to double check on the money and it was confirmed sent to South Palms' bank account number successfully. Immediately after the bank's confirmation, I sent an email to South Palms saying that I have already checked it in my bank and the money transfer was confirmed successful. I advised them that their accounting should check it on their bank since there is a reference transaction number. I did not received any reply from them. 1 week before our booking schedule and much to my frustration, they sent me again an email that there accounting dept. could still not locate the money. I even sent them my bank statement showing that the reservation was already made to Southpalms and I already did all in my capacity to show the proof. I went to bank, I sent them the sms, electronic transaction copy of the payment from my bank and bank statement and I even advised them to go and check it with there bank.
While we looked forward for a stress free vacation, we instead faced this. The inconvenience that we had before our booking was unbearable.
I think the management should also consider to train their CSR staff on how to properly deal with their customers and Accounting Dept.

The location direct on a white sandy beach is unique, but you have to pay for it! It is actually to expensive for the rooms you get, but in this place, it is all about the location. We liked that even when it is fully booked, you can still get a quite place with sunchairs, beds, hammock or else. The Restaurant and the bar are OK to good. It is worth to order fresh fish from the aquariums and tell what kind of cooking you like. Then, the restaurand can be real good. Personnel will do what the can to make you feel good. If you can afford it, get a premium beach front suite. You will probably never again sleep so close to the beach. It's an experience.

From the gorgeous beach to the delicious seafood dishes, I couldn't have asked for more. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and my only regret is that I didn't make time for a massage on the beach. The prices overall are very affordable and it's very easy to get to the airport and other venues in town like Alona Beach and the Bohol Bee Farm from this location. I can't wait to go back to the Philippines and visit Bohol again.

We have just had a 4 day stay at south palms . On arrival our accommodation was not ready but as we were a little early it was not a problem we went for a drink at the bar. Our room was lovely set on the sands facing the sea. The room was perfectly furnished, kettle,tea,coffee, 2 large bottles of water provided. The bathroom was nice with soap, shower gel shampoo,toothbrushes and toothpaste provided. Lovely fluffy towels.bathrobes .umbrellas and flip flops provided. 2 comfy chairs and a table on outside area. The bed and pillows were the most comfiest I have ever encountered you could not fail to have a good nights sleep. There is even a list of different pillows you can request if you dont like them. Breakfast it amazing ,you name it you can have it. The omelettes are fantastic, freshly made to order. We ate out for lunch each day but ate at poolside bar in the evening, this is the only slight letdown quite a small choice and many items sold out. The beach is perfect ,clean. You can use kayak and paddleboard free , life jackets provided as well. No need to take towels the life guards will give them to you on request. There was a private party taking place on an erected area on beach but the resort left a note in room informing you of this and apologising for any disturbance it may cause and it would be over by 11pm ( in fact it was over by 10pm). Nice little touch were cookies deliverd6each evening. Beds were turned down and rubbish bins emptied each evening. Staff were amazing from reception, cleaners, gardeners bar,waiting staff, transfer drivers to life guards. Cannot fault the resort. It does what it says on the tin a totally relaxing time.would highly recommend

While probably not the cheapest resort in Panglao, staying at South Palms certainly is worth every penny. Literally every photo you take could instantly be used in an advertising brochure for tropical holidays. It is an Instagrammer's paradise! Service at the resort is great, both in making up rooms, but also at reception. In the restaurants, service could sometimes be a little faster. We stayed at South Palms a total of 4 nights and really had a relaxing time. While there were quite a number of other guests, the layout of the resort still makes you feel as if you are actually spending a luxury holiday in your own backyard. Offering free kayaks and boats for rental provide a nice touch. One special note to the food at the resort, as South Palms does grow a lot of the their veggie's and meat at their own farm, which you can also visit. Also their focus on the environment is noteworthy - no plastic water bottles, but refillable glass bottels everywhere. The only catch we experienced was that the beach is a little limited for swimming, since there is a lot of seaweed and hidden away a fair number of sea urchins. As such when swimming, shoes are imperative (I learned that the hard way being stung by an urchin). Alona is a short ride (< 10mins) away from the resort, so if one wants to escape the quiet for a little bit that certainly does not represent a hinderance. All in all we had a great 4 days at South Palms.

The resort is in a good location and the beach area is good. We booked a beach villa which was considered one of their premium rooms but it was right next to the main pool for walk-in guests and next to a live singing entertainment venue in the evening. It was loud! Also, since they accept walk ins who only uses the pool or dine at their restaurant , our veranda view has always been people running around, taking photos using the hammock and teepee next to our room and it was unbearable. There’s no privacy at all. The staff, although courtesy and friendly are not attentive and will disregard you even while you are seated at the table at the bar or restaurant waiting. The buffet selection was okay, but their facemask policy only at the buffet is so outdated and useless. We stayed for the whole week and most of the time it takes half an hour to get a drink. They seem to be running around like headless chickens all the time. Loads of kids screaming and playing and they have group bookings and events all the time. Will not come back!
