Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

New caretakers here at the park. Emily and Steve are so friendly and obliging. They could do enough for us. Such a change to previous visits. The gardens look fabulous and many small changes to the park such as the games room open every day - set up with a tv and a great vibe. Cannot wait to see how much this hidden treasure will be improved for the better now being under new management. Oh and the fish are biting too!

We took our van here as we saw it had new care takers. Great spot. Great views. Heaps of room for the kids. Stevo and Emily were great hosts with a friendly face. Super clean amenities. And plenty of fish to be caught. Can’t wait to come back. 😊😊😊😊

My husband and I stopped here for one night on our way to the King Valley as we didn't want to travel 3.5hrs on a friday night and set up in the dark haha.
Bening half way it was very conveniently situated for us.
Upon arriving at the park our check in was very easy and the owners great.
As we were heading to our site both of us couldn't get over how immaculate the park grounds were.
It didn't stop there, toilets and shower blocks were also immaculately spotless as was the camp kitchen.
We can't reccomend this park enough and we will definitely be back.
If you are after a nice peaceful location that has perfect camp sites all with fire
Pits then this is the place to come too.

If you book a powered site this is what you get, a gravel landing. We booked for 3 nights and informened the caretakers that we had 5 dogs. When we arrived and saw that it was a patch of gravel we asked if we could go somewhere else in the park. We were told you can drive around the oval and find a spot however they are not powered and you will not be getting a refund for downgrading to a non powered site as they had many enquiries regarding the powered site. We noticed the next morning the 2 spots were taken and approached the caretakers to see if we could get a partial refund since they booked the site was bluntly told sorry no refunds.

Thought we would call in to stay 1 night & get a powered site, we were asked if we booked I said no, reply was YOU have to book. I asked if the was any power sites & told we only have 2 & 1 was already booked, but she said we could have it, $27. We were guided to a corse blue stone gravel & concrete pad, both about 3 metres wide. But you were so close to each other not funny. We have a 20'6" long van plus an Isuzu car, trying to monouvre the massive stump next to water pipe fence on both sides. She was trying to guide us, in the end I said we will go to the free part. Next was the reply you WON'T be getting a refund.
We picked a Beautifull grassed site listening to the birds, amenities good. Now enjoying a beverage or 2.

We have friends who have an on site van, and wanting to catch up we booked one of the 2 powered sites that are available for casual use, the reserve itself has been here a long long time, and the facilities are old but clean. The caretaker(Judy) was very helpful. The actual location and scenery, next to the river is pretty good, and while powered sites are limited, there is a lot of space for self contained caravans and campers. The park is only 10 minutes from Yea and a similar distance from Yarck. A great base to explore the local area including Alexandra, Eildon, Bonnie Doon, even Mansfield. $27 for the powered site per night, $20 for non powered. At the moment the local pub is closed, hoping it can be re opened soon. TV reception is poor and a satellite dish would be needed.

Had a great weekend camping getaway. We picked a spot right at the river which was beautiful to wake up to each morning. Typical camping experience. Only prob is there is only 1 toilet block so if you camping by the river, it’s bit of a walk or a quick drive. Overall very pieceful.

What a gem this expansive rec reserve is. Right on the river in Molesworth and away from the highway traffic. Amenities are clean and tidy with an excellent camp kitchen and bbq area. Plenty of shade for tents or vans and prices are really cheap. We’re going to stay one night but ended up staying three. Used it as a base to do trips on the rail trail.

After the Christmas rush was over, we took the T-Van to an unpowered site on the Goulburn River at Molesworth Recreation Reserve & Caravan Park.
It was green, clean and quiet. There were plenty of people around still, but it's spacious so no-one was camped on top of anyone else.
Earlier in the week it wasn't too hot, so we could have a fire in the provided fire drums and cook outdoors. Later in the week it got too hot, but we were heading home then anyway.
We took our Mountain bikes and jumped on the Tallarook - Mansfield Rail Trail. Rode from Molesworth, into Yea, out to Trawool and back. 90kms in one day. The rail trail is fantastic!
Caravan Park is very old, but apart from a few cobwebs in the bathroom, it provided good basic, facilities with plenty of hooks & shelves in the showers, and not too many people to share with!
Very cheap for an unpowered site, the walk to the loo was a bit of a long one, but that was our choice to camp right down the back too.
