Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Rooms were nice, View was nice, pol was nice. BUT....we only stayed 2 nights and asked for a refund (which they gave us without argurment). 3 lights didnt work, blind in main bedroom would not pull down, had to ask for cups and glasses, no pool towels, ion the second night the light in the main bedroom kept flashing off and on and ceiling fan in same bedroom did not work (and they knew it!). Very disappoing, maintenance is needed big time there unfortunately. with all the apartments surrounding the area, Surf Regency really needs to pick up its game.

We needed a room for the day as had a late flight. Chen and the team were great and gave us a good deal for the day.

We stayed in room 804 - Immaculate. Newly renovated, 2 bed and 2 bathrooms

1 minute walk to the beach

Outdoor pool and spa were adequate - and not busy

Highly recommend, and I would stay there again

+1
I booked a one bedroom apartment and was very impressed by the property. They were very efficient in responding to my communication. We received a complimentary upgrade to an ocean view apartment 1303 which was amazing and greatly appreciated. Staff all friendly and great customer service. Beautiful pool but we didn’t use it. Would definitely stay again!

We booked two apartments, one was ok and one was just terrible. The ok one seemed cleaner, had newer decor and was better maintained. The terrible one looked like it was straight from the 80’s with old, outdated blue decor and not very clean, mainly due to the fact it needed a good Reno or at the very least some maintenance. It was difficult to close the sliding door outside.
Air con is dodgy, we were lucky it wasn’t too hot when we stayed here.
Location is very convenient and the pool was nice.
One very annoying thing about this place is the fact they ask you for a $200 security deposit per apartment immediately upon check in, but you have to wait for at least a week (I’m still waiting!) for it to be returned. I’m still $400 out of pocket. Not sure why there is a delay.
I’m pretty sure you could find nicer places in a similar location for the money.

DO NOT RECOMMEND…I cancelled My booking due to lockdown, met the cancelation requirements in their terms and conditions, refuse to give refund! Issue lodged with fair trading.

Provided all the cancellation emails and evidence confirming booking cancelled.

The WORST apartment I have stayed at. Very bad customer service and staff were very impatient. I payed for wifi and the room didn't have any. When I called staff they were disrespectful until I told them I wanted a refund then they brought a modem. Only gave me one key for the room. Half the closet was locked and was unable to be opened. Definitely don't recommend this place for a holiday.

I have stayed four times at Surf Regency on different levels and either 1 or 2 bedrooms. This time round it is noticeable the need to spend money to keep rooms and amenities up to date. Both spas were not working and the place is looking tired. It use to be a budget friendly alternative to staying close to Cavill Ave but its is only a few dollars a night cheaper now.

This was our second time here at the Surf Regency. We asked if we could stay in the same room 901 and we did. The room has had some updates from when we were here last. This room is fantastic for our family and we will definitely be back next year.

Out of all the hotels/resorts I have stayed at in Surfers Paradise, this is my favourite. It has very resonable rates, great facilities, great location and great rooms.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and had a view of the beach which is just across the road. The hotel is roughly 5 minutes walk into Cavill Ave, so it is close but not TOO close.

The room was huge and had a private lounge/dining area including a good sized verandah. There is a large kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, toaster and kettle and plently of plates/cutlery. There were 2 bedrooms (1 queen/king and 1 with 2 singles) each with large cupboards for your clothes. The bathroom was also good with a bath tub.

We had Pay TV in our room so when we got sick of TV we headed downstairs to the pool area. There is a nice in-ground pool and covered spa as well as a BBQ area to use. We spent a lot of time here, especially in the spa because of the cold weather.

We actually didnt make our check-in time (which was 5pm) but we had no dramas with accessing our keys to our room. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Parking here was undercover and secure and had plenty of room for many guests.

This, as i mentioned has been my favourite hotel so far at Surfers Paradise, mainly because of the location. The beach is across the road and Cavill Ave is 5 minute walk which is just right.

Definately a highly recommended hotel.

Do all the bedrooms in the 2 bedroom apartments come with air conditioning?
Answer from Jacqueline R
2 contributions2 helpful votes
No, not all the units have ac in the bedrooms, all apartments have a/c in the lounge and some have a/c in the master as well. The air-conditioners are effective enough to keep the apartments comfortable and there's usually a breeze on the coast that also helps in this regard.
