What a romantic place! Beautiful situated in nature and well equipped. The outside bathroom is a new, but great experience too. The personnel is very friendly. The kitchen is also great, so breakfast, lunch and dinner were very tasteful. Also the possibilities for safari’s were plenty. We received enough information about it and the rangers were very good educated about the wonderful nature and awesome animals. We did de sunset drive, the night safari and the whole day Kruger Park. Everything was excellent.

Spent 3 nights at this beautiful reserve. The accommodation was fabulous- animals would just stroll by casually. Beautiful sunsets - game drives and hikes.
1 self catering accommodation and the rest is tree lodges. Fires are not allowed. Pool can be used at your leisure. Bar is opened all day. Dinner and breakfast served buffet style (which is average) lunch can be ordered off the menu. Our first night was not the best as there was no power.

For the amount we paid I would of expected the accommodation to have had solar powers or inverters.

We had a wonderful stay at Pezulu Treehouse. All Treehouses are different. We stayed at Mountain View. what a view! Sunset from the balcony.
Animals that can come close to your treehouse what an experience.
"In the evening you sit around a fire with the rest of the guests having a nice meal.
There are many nice excursions to make. It is definitely recommended to stay here for 2 to 3 nights

Could be an awesome place and the kitchen staff and chef were really lovely and tried very hard to help guests. It's the management that ruined the whole experience. Our room was dirty, there was holes in the smelly bedding and things weren't working such as lights and fans. When we politely spoke to the management they shrugged us off and didn't care at all and didnt even offer an apology, they truly didn't care. They seem to only be nice to international guests. For the price we paid and the poor service I will never be back. There are MANY other places in the area who are much more worth it.

Pezulu Tree House Lodge is a great location to choose for a perfect African holiday for all age groups.
Accommodation is a clever mix of rustic and comfortable, and from here trips to any number of experiences can be arranged. Worth particular mention is the excellent cuisine and friendliness of staff.
I would be very happy to recommend to anyone planning a game viewing holiday.

We went for 2 nights in Marula treehouse. Pezulu is set in a quiet and secluded location with none of the big 5 around, there might be buffalo but no lions etc. The treehouses are basic but you can expect that from a treehouse! The rooms are not dirty but need a bit of maintenance. The food was better than expected and the staff are incredible. I would go back here but not for more than two nights.

Good day. Thank you for your review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Pezulu Tree House Lodge is set in the Guernsey Private Nature Reserve, which has an abundance of plains game as well as 2 of the Big 5 namely Leopard and Buffalo. We are surrounded by Big 5 Reserves in the Greater Kruger, where open vehicle safaris offer the opportunity for Big 5 Game viewing. Hyena is prevalent on the reserve and from time to time Wild Dogs pass through. The Panorama Route and KNP are also wonderful day trips. We would be delighted to welcome you back someday

We stayed at Pezulu tree house lodge in July 2022 and it was a great experience.
We would like to thank Mikayla for helping us plan the stay and with all the activities, Joe for driving and showing us all the animals around the Kruger National Park, Elephant Moments and Boyd river canyon trip, Charlotte for managing everything very well and a special shout-out to Chef Nathan who was incredibly accommodating with our special vegetarian diet and created some really delicious dishes specifically for us. Thank you so much to entire Pezulu team for a great and memorable trip !

I have seen many reviews critiquing the food as ‘basic’. I am here to set the record straight.

First thing you need to know, the food is incredibly cheap and only in a monetary sense. Yes, the lunch menu is burgers, chips and pizza.. but a lunch for 2 cost us 110 RAND. That’s £5.50 roughly translated!

The food was very tasty and I was given one of THE best homemade hot chilli sauces I’ve tasted.

The chef is also a very welcoming and humble guy. Chilled vibe and I dig it.

stayed at Pezulu 8 years ago and loved it so much that I came back! It is a wonderful place and the treehouses and views are amazing. We stayed during Covid and it was very quiet at Pezulu. It is totaly safe to travel to and stay at Pezulu. The dinner was delicious and the cook made sure everything was to our liking.
The staff was super friendly, we were feeling really welcome at Pezulu. Everyone who likes a special experience at a beautiful accomodation should go to Pezulu!

My wife and I stayed at Pezulu Tree House Lodge for four days in June. Needless to say it was an great experience. Everything went smooth ranging from the airport pickup at eastgate and the list of tours we selected. Charlotte was an excellent guide and we really enjoyed our Safari in Kruger Park with her in the open air Vehicle. Overall, the property was well maintained and the accomandations were great. It was really neat to stay in a treehouse for the duration of the stay. Lastly, Pezulu was able to hold the nightly rate from from the original booking from 2020 and applied it to our stay.

I would definitely drive. There is so much to do in the area, you do NOT want to stay at Pezulu the entire time. you will want to explore for sure. Hoespruit airport is the closest, but it is super tiny and usually more expensive for flights
Hoedspruit
Good day, What time is your plane arriving at Johannesburg airport? What time do you plan to visit us ? From Johannesburg airport to Pezulu is more or less a 5 -5.5 hours drive. Sunny greetings from Pezulu. Kind regards, Claude HUBERTY
