We have just returned from enjoying just a fabulous stay here.
The entire setting and warm welcome then probably the fastest unwinding into the holiday vibe.
Has made this a time that will never be forgotten. I have to say the owner and family are wonderful. The manager and all the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Staying here you soon feel as one big family.
Go and find out for yourself 👍🧚‍♀️🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Highly recommended.

Me and my group of 24 people stayed at this backpackers for a weekend and we had the most amazing time ever. All of them were still talking about this place 2 days after we left. The staff were extremely warmhearted and helped where they could. To all the new guests, ENJOY!

Jacobs Bay Backpackers is not only an amazing place near the beach to spend some time but it is also run by some absolutely fabulous people. They were beyond hospitable, making sure I had everything I needed and more, and showed me a wonderful time. If you are going to be in Jacobs Bay, don't miss out on this totally unique and beautiful spot!

We booked there Because it was the only place that had availabity for 3 people not so far from paternoster. We wanted to show the area to my mother who was visiting us from France.
If you are independant and appreciate cleanliness then this place is not for you.
The spot is nice but not looked after properly. Dogs pee and poo are not helping.
If you are fussy like us about cotton sheets, bring your own- polyester ones are what is used there.

We used the backpacker's camp as a camp site for four nights. Stayed in the "Stone House" and shared the communal kitchen and bathrooms/shower. Great atmosphere with the hostest with the mostest - Pixie! This is not a graded establishment, so don't expect Egyptian 500 thread count cotton sheets. Good value for money if you are in the area - close to the bay and 15 minute drive from most other attractions. Staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our down to earth stay at the backpakers. Great for groups of four and more!

Last minute booking for the long weekend. What a surprise!
Jacobs Bay is not only beautiful but so conveniently located for travelling to other places along the west coast.
The back packers is beautifully maintained, the staff are super accommodating, caring and friendly. The rooms are basic and clean, the shower facilities and bathrooms are well maintained. They are many communal braai areas and a shared communal kitchen that is well stocked. Bring your own glasses and sharp knives if needed.
I will definitely return for the very affordable and homey feel the Plot has to offer!

Camped for 3 nights, very nice place, but because it is so close to the sea the winds are extremely strong and the tent does not want to stay up. There is no good spot to anchor your tent properly, as a result these winds keep pulling out the tent pens.

This backpacker left us with a bitter taste. First of all, it was the priciest backpacker we'd seen in ZA (200R per dorm, in low season). We didn't have a lot of options (the other backpacker was full) so we decided to take two beds.Apparently they had a nice "Pixie & Fairy Village/garden" accessible, but we had to pay an extra 30R to visit (which we did not want to pay). I would have expected it to be included in the price of the accommodation. But well…

We arrived in the middle of the afternoon and, right after paying, the reception closed and the staff was nowhere to be found.

At some point, we decided to start cooking our dinner (with another couple) and someone finally came to check on us. It seemed to be the owners. Great! The woman asked if everything was alright but didn't even care to listen to any of our answers. She preferred to strongly insist on the fact that the place was safe: when you don't initially feel threatened, this kind of behavior makes you wonder what is there to fear…

Once we finished eating, the lights in the courtyard never went on and we had to walk back to our room with our smartphones. Maybe we didn't pay the option "garden lightens at night"...

To finish on a positive note though, we had a room of 6 for ourselves and did sleep well.

My friend and I stayed in the stone house, which is a cozy room with a double and a single bed. The shared bathrooms are clean and in good condition, and the kitchen is very well equipped. We had the choice of several braai areas, some very communal and one more private. Trish and Marcel are so welcoming and friendly and we had a great time sharing a braai - Marcel even brought out his guitar. Animal lovers will adore the friends dogs. The pixie garden is beautifully crafted - a labour of love indeed.

Thanks for a wonderful stay and always being available. We are definitely coming back.

Coming there with no expectations and just happy about a place to stay, I was totally overwhelmed and surprised by this gorgeous little place, where you feel like far away from any negativity.
Not only the many private little areas, where you can braai, set up a hammock, have a fire, watch a movie etc. the people who run it (thanks again Trish) make it complete.

I can only recommend to stop by on your travel and experience the vibe yourself!!!

Give Willy a little pet from me :)
