We always frequent this establishment in Umhlanga mainly for the convenient location, safety as well as the heated pool.Upon request vegetarian options are arranged for breakfast. Kuben the chef has excellent customer service skills as well as world class culinary experience. Well done and thank you for the assistance. .Its clean situated in the perfect location. The restaurant always serves good food. They have plenty secure parking. Staff is very friendly and you can just park your car off and walk to the mall which is a 10minute walk. Beach is about a 10 minute drive. Try going to Hawaan view nice clean area to be at the beach.

It is an excellent hotel. Close to the mall and eateries. It was the proximity to the beach that made it a deal breaker. An early morning jog and walk along the beach was so refreshing. In the late afternoon after a stroll, a cold drink of choice by the white restaurant after the bridge caps a great day. Prices are very reasonable, the ambiance out of this world.

When I initially booked in thought I would have a room with a seaview which was the only upsetting part.
The rest of the stay at the hotel was nice and service was good. Although the chef said the meat was halaal a sign would be beneficial as we would feel more comfortably eating.

Clean, friendly staff, convenient location. Close to Gateway. But..
1. Family room is too small. Just good enough to go sleep in there. Can't really spend time in the room if you not in there to sleep.
2. Photos on website don't do justice to the place. It's much smaller then what it's perceived to look like. Pool is tiny. They say pool closes at 7pm but it's so dark after 6pm that you can't use it. Only good thing about the pool is that it's heated.
3. Breakfast doesnt live up to the hype. Compared to other tsogo sun hotels in the area this place had the most limited options available. No cheese at all. Coffee was probably the worst I've had. They only had instant coffee available.
4. Parking is limited. You will be lucky to find a spot if you go spend the evening out and come back by 10pm hoping to find a parking spot.
5. No sauna, no steam baths, no other activities at the hotel besides the pool - which is only good enough for kids!
You can see that they trying to save on costs.. but unfortunately they have lost me as a customer.

We had a relaxed time at the hotel where we spent most of our time, especially because we could not get time to go to the beach due to the rain. The TVs in the family room do not give an option for Netflix or YouTube which was disappointing for the kids however, the hotel did have fun activities planned such as movie nights at the Kids Zone. The heated pool allowed us to swim throughout the unfavourable rainy weather. We booked the Christmas dinner at the hotel and the food tasted amazing. The hotel is a walking distance from Gateway Mall and that was so convenient for us. A particular thanks to the manager Warren who went out of his way to ensure that our misplaced item was found and safely returned. The friendly staff at the Mnandi Restaurant and Bar worked very hard and often stayed a little over their night shifts to ensure that everyone got their last orders in. I enjoyed my hot baths and showers, I will definitely miss their showers.

The hotel is located in a strategic place for shopping and leisure. A good place to stay with family. The hotel pool caters for children and udults of all ages. I enjoyed working in the business center which offers a welcome private space for an academic life me who despite being on holiday I had to work

Booking a town hotel when coming to the beach isn’t our normal routine. We were pleasantly surprised firstly by the comfort of our room but mostly by the friendliness of the staff and willingness to assist. Some of the usual hotel services have been removed or considerably restricted with the Covid protocols- they have managed well albeit they could probably do with more staff. The time taken was slow but it’s due to the increase paperwork etc. that needs to be completed. We have had an excellent trip. Thank you

We travelled for a funeral and there were 5 of us. The rooms were fine however, we had asked for a packed breakfast as we had to leave early. We only got one for 5 people. We then ask if we can have a coffee, to which the receptionist says we need to ask the kitchen. I then sit in the lobby waiting to leave where she comes by to make her coffee and says to me if I want some I can come here and make it. Terrible staff don’t care at all. Never again
