From the moment we first contacted this resort til the moment we checked out (and even after we checked out) we received truly 5 star treatment.
We were so excited for the opportunity to travel to Dubai again as soon as it was removed off the red list in England.
We had been to the one and only previously for drinks, and because of the treatment we received then, we had it on our radar for when we next went to Dubai.
I had to contact the hotel to arrange a few things for a special occasion and they could not be more helpful.
The hotel has a boutique elegance, large enough to have your own space but small enough so that staff remember your name and find the time to find you when you make a request for slippers for your 2 year old.
Rooms:
Rooms are large, fully equipped with coffee machine, kettle, tea and coffee, and ample water, regularly restocked.
Toiletries are of good quality, and they even supplied toiletries for our toddler.
We all know how hot Dubai can be, and the staff help to minimise the heat by providing an igloo with ice and water when at the beach, and ice cream and ice water when at the amazing swimming pool.
There is enough loungers by the pool for everyone. Even beds! At some hotel/ resorts these beds would be chargeable, but not here. All included.
Food: Best breakfast I have had in Dubai, and we have traveled here 5 times and and stayed in a variety of 5 star hotels/ resorts.
The fresh juices, al a cart menu and buffet all with great quality produce.
We had room service 2 times, and the food arrived hot and plentiful. The same excellent quality we had at breakfast.
We had drinks by the pool, the service was efficient and friendly.
The grounds are beautiful! Clean, and picturesque. The camera does not do it Justice.
And the small touches that made it magical for our toddler. The rabbits. She was so happy, petted the rabbits and followed them all around the resorts.
There are carts that can take you around the resort. This was very usual especially when travelling to the boat transfers or just travelling to the restaurant or lobby in the heat.
The hotel provide complimentary boat transfer over to their sister hotel ( One and Only - mirage ), this was a nice touch and great experience on its own.
The kids club- you can leave your children there from age 4 (you need to stay on the resort) however we still had the opportunity to enjoy it. We visited the club with our toddler, the staff played with her and provided lots of toys and even some toys for her to keep to play with in the room. The staff were so good with all the children we saw there no matter the age.
I thoroughly recommend this resort, And thanks to all the Staff that made our trip exceptional.

Stayed here for 9 nights at the beginning of August. We booked a room with a sea view and pool, the room was perfect. Nice and spacious and comfortable Housekeeping was at the highest standard and the staff are truly amazing We had our butler Noushad who took care of all our needs from organising our reservations and making sure we had anything we needed for the day, nothing was too much trouble.He is an asset to this hotel as he looked after us so much I can’t thank him enough. The restaurants that were open were Zest and 101, the manager from 101 was extremely professional and he made our dining experience special. . Both were excellent. We had breakfast in our room this was also very good plus a varied selection of foods were available. Amazing vacation at One and only the palm. I have to highly recommend the restaurant 101 at the one and only on the palm! Not only was the service impeccable as it consistently is at the one and only hotels but the food and servers - particularly Sajimon was what any guest looks and can only hope for in a server.
Sajiman was attentive without being over bearing and made the entire experience run as smoothly as could be. Recommendations on the what seafood dishes and wine pairing to order as well as informal discussions of how hungry we were came across as charming and effortless.
The variety of dishes on the menu in particular the freshness of the ingredients was that which we had only Chef Benjamin and his team to thank for. We have never before been presented with such a generous and enticing seafood platter like the one we had last night. I would really recommend going on an empty stomach and ordering as much as you can off the menu!

The hotel is located at the bottom end of the crescent of The Palm and offers great views of the skyscrapers and the Marina whilst providing a tranquil getaway from the city.
The driveway curves up to a stunning, villa style, building and lobby where we received a welcome drink before being escorted to our room by our butler for the stay.
We were in a junior suite, which was one of several in a mansion - a large, luxurious, villa style building. Our room was huge, with an enormous bathroom with stand alone bath and large separate shower room, nice living room area and spacious balcony. We also had a private cabana allocated for our use on the lovely private beach. Rooms with small pools are also available.
There is a large pool for use by all and smaller adult only pool within the resort. We opted for the larger pool which offers plenty of beds, together with private rooms for an extra fee. Service around the pool of alcoholic and soft beverages was very efficient and the staff were also very good at topping up the complimentary cold water. Eating around the pool is not permitted so guests must either go to one of the restaurants or return to their room to eat. The water of the pool was blissfully cool.
There is a very good gym facility and spa within the resort, as well as a tennis court.
Two restaurants are currently open - zest, which is where breakfast is also served, and 101, an excellent seafood restaurant sat over the sea with great views of The Palm and the city.
Covid is clearly being taken every seriously - temperatures were taken on arrival at the hotel and each individual destination within the hotel.
An absolutely great stay from start to finish which left us feeling very relaxed.

Located on the end west crescent of the Palm “One&Only The Palm” is one of the leading hotels in Dubai and that’s for a good reason. The Palm is heaven on earth and gives the guests a peaceful and easy feeling.
Unlike the hotels with a few hundred rooms, this resort with approximately 90 rooms feels quiet and intimate. It is comparable to an enclave that fulfills all the wishes of the guests who like tranquility, such as relaxing by the pool and where you can rent private cabanas. The beach has the waters of the Arabian Gulf. From the front door to the pool, there are so many lovely people around us who spoil us with a quality comfortable service and also give us a quality culinary experience. We always say to anyone who wants to hear it, One&Only The Palm delivers tailor-made holidays.
Our day starts at Zest with a friendly welcome and a good breakfast. Here they make the day, with thanks in part to Mitthal and his team Restaurant STAY chef Renaud Dutel deserves an extra compliment, at my husband's request he deviates from the regular menu and prepares his favorite food. Mr. Dutel is also the one who took the restaurant to an even higher level and won 2 Michelin stars. Restaurant 101 is also nice to hang out and have a drink because they have good music. Hassan is an excellent host, he and his team provide the cozy atmosphere. We met the Chef of 101 mister Antony, he is a modest chef who takes in the meantime care of the excellent culinary part.
We usually spend the rest of the day by the pool and Mr Noel Silva, Tharindu and their team is the main reason to come back, we know already by now we will be back next year.
Thanks to all the staff who go out of their way to make the holidays of all guests perfect and smooth. At the reception we would like to specially mention mister Dario, Dev, Artem, Akshay, Kingsley and last but not least our butler Anand.
Thank you Mr. Moorthy for keeping such a wonderful team together.

We chose this hotel as it looked luxurious, intimate and tranquil, how right we were. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left we were made to feel special and taken care of.
At check in our room wasn’t ready but our luggage was whisked away and we were sent for complimentary breakfast. When we did get our key the room was huge, well appointed and room cleaning was faultless, every morning perfectly timed for when we left for breakfast and turn down perfectly timed whilst we were out at dinner each night. I asked for foam pillows on our second morning and they were in our room within an hour.
Poolside and Beachside service was impeccable. Despite the hotel being almost full there were always sun beds available at any time of the day, fresh ice water bought round regularly throughout the day and friendly poolside bar service at all times. The gym was well kitted out and equipment well maintained. One thing we had read in other reviews was noise from party boats and nearby beach clubs float across the water and this is the case, however it seemed to be only on the weekend and it didn’t disturb our sleep, despite our room being on the beach and facing the ocean so don’t let this out you off (as it nearly did us!)
All dining options were excellent. Breakfast a combination of a la carte and buffet, fresh juice bar etc. Zest and 101 were fabulous.
We visited the One and Only Royal Mirage for the day and my goodness what a difference there was! The hotel felt sprawling, impersonal, hectic in comparison to the tranquil personal exclusive oasis of the Palm. The hotel is certainly expensive but unlike some places in Dubai we left happy and relaxed, we did not feel ripped off the way we have at other Dubai hotels. Everything about the hotel feels exclusive, special and worth every penny staying there.
The final thing to mention is the staff. We did not have a single poor experience with the staff. Check in, room service, bar staff, waiters, management, pool staff, all were excellent, friendly, accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. We were there whilst the flooding occurred and the staff worked tirelessly to maintain order, safety and guests enjoyment. There are too many to name individually but a huge thank you to everyone for making our stay so special.

This is a beautifully designed, wonderfully appointed hotel. The fittings and furnishings throughout are classically elegant. This is not a hotel for business nor really for children, it is for the ultimate decadent relaxed break. The UAE abounds with 5 star hotels and excellent service is an expectation but the One&Only takes it to a higher level. It isn’t cheap but it is exclusive.
Restaurants: 101 is a seafood restaurant in a great setting. We adored it: very special. Zest is in the main building and simply a beautiful room in which to either begin the day with as much choice and quality as anyone could need for breakfast, or else end the day with a romantic dinner.
The pool for us at least was perfect in a great setting, relaxed and uncrowded. The beach of course includes the inevitable view of some of the Palm’s monstrosities and is less interesting. There are better beaches. The pool is more than enough.
Definitely we will be back as soon as we can afford.

A leading hotel on Palm Jumeirah is One&Only “The Palm”. For us this is now coming home. Not a huge hotel with a large range of hotel rooms. Hotel The Palm is an intimate hotel in an enclave with a private beach and approximately ninety rooms and a number of beach villas. Here you are not a number, a tailor-made service is provided from the front door to the beach. While the guests cool off in the water, we have great respect for the waiters speak kindly to us in the heat and work hard and are ready to serve all guests to their satisfaction. Service is therefore of paramount importance at The Palm and there are no words in my dictionary to thank enough for their effort to keep the guest happy by little touches such as personalized hand written welcome notes, beautiful flower bouquets etc.
The only thing I've seen that's missing is that employees no longer wear name badges and we can’t remember their names. Our butlers Anand and Sachintha (a name I really had to write down) ensured that we lacked nothing in our rooms and also made restaurant reservations for us. We have been coming to this opulent property every year since the beginning and now know some of the staff, such as the ever helpful Thirandu and the affable Malesh, they always make time for a chat and ensure we have a great time. But last but not least Shibin, Ebin, Dilshan, Kule, Madava, Jalal, Vinu, Kingsley, Andrew and Charles did always a good job too. I would actually be doing the other crew members a disservice by not mentioning them by name, but that is also because they no longer wear their name badges and I don't want to reintroduce myself to them every day.
