My husband and I went on a fantastic safari trip in June with East Africa Adventure and Tours. We booked our safari and Fred was very attentive to our needs and made plenty of suggestions for our private tour. Our accommodations were 5-stars. First, we were in Kenya, and we had Pius and Julius as our driver/guide. Super nice men. Pius not only was our guide for the Safari, but he also gave us a lot of information about Kenya and the surrounding regions. It was like having two tours in one. Then on to Tanzania and we had Tsaba and Noberto as our guides. Again, super nice guys. They were with us every step of the way when we were getting our Visa for Tanzania. We had a great time with them and even enjoyed drinks with them after a long day in the jeep. We had a minor issue and we contacted Fred who took care of the issue immediately so things could still run smoothly. - Jeff was our coordinator in Tanzania. He met us at the lodge and made sure we had all our papers for our time in Tanzania. He was great to work with as well. Both Fred and Jeff kept in touch making sure we were having a good time. We definitely got to see THE BIG 5!! When booking our Safari trip with Fred we were undecided as to come home or stay longer. We told Fred we would like to stop in Cape Town before heading home. Fred worked out with a guide for us to see the sights in Cape Town. Cape Town is a must when visiting Africa.

This is what makes them a 5-star company, taking care of their clients!!

One last thing. On the plane to Cape Town, we met a group of 5 women who were on a Safari trip as well. As we shared each other’s itinerary and pictures they were impressed at our trip. Indicating that their trip was nowhere near as exciting as ours was and commented on our fantastic accommodations.

I would highly recommend East Africa Adventure and Tours and when we go back, we will definitely be contacting Fred and his team.

We had an incredible 6-day safari with Tanzania Horizon Safaris! Our group of 6 explored the magical Mara River at the Tanzania-Kenya border, and it was beyond words. Our guide, Sabas, was the heart of our adventure, sharing his knowledge and passion for wildlife. From lions to giraffes, every moment was a thrill. Sabas's expertise and friendly demeanor made the journey unforgettable. The accommodations were comfortable, and the food was delicious. We stayed at Mara Kati Kati camp in Tanzania and Sopa Lodge on the Kenyan side. A big shoutout to Sabas for making our safari a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you're dreaming of an amazing safari you shouldnt miss Mara region and the Mara river

My husband and I stayed for two nights at Mara Serena Safari Lodge which is situated inside the Mara Triangle. I had no idea how different the Mara Triangle was compared to the Greater Mara until we crossed the Mara bridge and saw it for ourselves.

The Mara triangle has less jeeps, and as a result, it felt like we were the only ones on safari for most of our game drives. The landscape felt like a flat savanna, which was such a unique experience.

    The Weather:

We travelled in April 2024. It was a gamble, but it paid off. Our first game drive in the evening had lightning on either side as we made our way to the lodge. It's the most surreal experience to see more than one lightning bolt in its entirety, because the endless plains does not hinder your view. We might have entered the lodge with the heavy rain, but luckily, our two days in Maasai Mara had sunshine during our game drives and rain in the evening.

Our stay at the cottages was indeed very special and memorable. The staff were very professional and friendly. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. George and Evalyn were fantastic guides! Evalyn is the first female guide in Porini, and a very knowledgeable one too!! There was so much game and the conservancy in all its beauty was incredible! The sun downer, breakfast in the bush, the nature walk...all so special! Chef William was amazing too! He made a gluten free cake for our daughter which really was ...the icing on the cake.
    A GREAT PLACE!

The Giraffes here are so graceful and peaceful. We drove very close to them and were able to watch as close as 3 metres from the van.
    Beautiful!

A stay in the Mara would not be complete without a visit to Musiara. Providing it hasn't rained and made the tracks impassable, it's worth spending some time there. The bird life can be amazing and if you venture down to the banks of the Mara river going through the woodland you may be treated to the sight of elephant families crossing.
A "bush" breakfast is an ideal opportunity to sit and watch. Let wildlife come to you!

Multiple cheetahs, elephant tuskers, dwarf and banded mongoose, large number of giraffe, multiple lion prides, multiple leopards and herds of hooved animals. Enough said.

The beads museum is a small and unique museum with bead work from around the continent. In addition you can book a workshop with maasai women and learn how to make jewellery!! This is amazing for families . The museum has clean toilets🙃 and a wonderful souvenir shop

I stayed for four days at the Nashulai Maasai Conservancy in the Maasai Mara and had a truly excellent time (arranged by Stuart of Nashulai Journeys). Everybody was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Besides having some really enjoyable game drives and seeing much of the wildlife (with good photos), I was also able to observe some of the Maasai's everyday life. Javin especially was extremely informative and was uncomplaining when I asked him to repeat some stories to a tape recorder as he told me too much to remember immediately. Moses was really friendly and a good guide/driver. I should also mention the kindness of the various rangers (Benjamin Koke, Vionah, Faith and Kiok) in spending a lot of time explaining and demonstrating the techniques they use in their conservation work.

All in all, I would strongly recommend visiting the conservancy. I had a great time.

This is what we thought of when we envisioned Africa – broad plains with tall grass and taller trees, and animals grazing everywhere you looked.

But it is dotted with clumps of trees and that is also a good place to find resting and feeding animals.

We were really lucky to explore two cheetahs at a very close distance. We saw a massive herd of elephants, enjoying in the swamp and zebras.
