Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I often eat Peruvian food so I was not sure how this restaurant was, but I was very positively surprised. The restaurant is a bit far from the city center, but worth the drive. Modern design. Gets very busy with a good crowd. Friendly staff, good service. Excellent food, the ceviche are excellent, also the main courses were very good. I had the tuna, excellent quality and taste. They have also excellent Pisco Sour. Extensive wine list. Probably one of the best restaurants in Brasilia, if not of Brazil. I will definitely return when in the area.

Very good food. Wide wine selection. Highly recommend the ceviche sampler of four different types, as well as the polvo/octopus entre. Very popular at 9 pm. We'll be back.

Everything goes fine:the atmosphere (simple but relaxing), the staff, the service and the wonderful meal (anyone). The prices are fair enough. Top 5 restaurant.

Can say after living 2 years in Brasilia, this is my favorite. Of course it also reminds me of the wonderful experience we had in Peru, the Peruvian cousin is very well represented here.

Best ceviche in Brasilia, so good in fact that we've never got around to ordering anything else on the menu. They also have a great selection of wine and impeccable service staff.

Well located at a beautiful place in Lago Sul, Brasília, Brazil, I think Taypa is the best restaurant in this city. The food is amazing, mixing tradicional Peruvian recipes and ingredients with a contemporary touch. Pisco´s drinks are surprinsingly tasting, and my favorite is the Ginger Taypa, very refreshing, with Pisco, ginger and grapefruit. New visitors should try the "Tour de Piscos": 3 pisco cocktails suggested by the barman. My favorite dish is "Pescado al Azafrán": grilled fish in rocoto sauce, prawns and saffron served with gruyere cheese-filled manioc croquettes. I also recommend the Ceviche Criolo, with octopus, whitefish, squid and shrimps with tiger milk and cilantro cream and onions in tempura. It´s a flavour's paradise! The restaurante has a good public parking lot, in front of and behind it. The price is not low, but it worths: it´s a sensorial experience! I have visitd Taypa four times, and I will return soon.

Nice atmosphere. Good Peruvian food. Necessary previous reservation. Lack of tolerance in case you are 15 minutes late. Free parking lot.

We have gone there many times and have been always pleased by its varied typical Peruvian dishes: tiraditos, lomo saltado, ceviches etc.

It’s not cheap, but the food is tasty (as it is not always the case, even in the best rated by TripAdvisor in Brasilia) and they offer a large choice of decent wines. So it’s always a very good choice for a business lunch.

I came here with my mum for a ceviche and some pisco. As we sat down we were received by Paulo, a lovely waiter who gave us excellent suggestions and was really sympathetic!

Taypa is a well known reference in Brasília. Peruvian-inspired, ranges from fish to beef with singular quality. Service is good, as well the atmosphere.

I went to dine with my husband on our anniversary. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, we were in a secluded table for two. We had the different ceviches as the entrée. Very well prepared and delicious. Recommend this restaurant for those willing to try a different type of cuisine.

Great service (buy our waiter, Baiano), delicious ceviche (loved all I tried, but the best is the original) and fish dishes were wonderful. Definitely recommend and definitely will come again.
