3 deluxe Suites- two King one queen or twin, two en-suite, one shared bathroom, views of either the hills or the beach,lovely sunny, private garden. all rooms have TV (two larger rooms with cable), seating and tea and coffee making facilities. We have a large, sunny private garden and are located directly across from shops, bars , cafes and takeaways. We provide a special breakfast including croissants, ham, cheese, spreads toast and cereals along with fresh juice, tea and coffee. We also provide free WIFI and a complimentary airport or bus pick up and drop off service.

Good: Easy to find, and very handy for the shopping park and restaurants/pubs etc, and the beach is only a 10 min walk away. This is a clean, homely place with friendly and accommodating hosts. Rob and Gary were welcoming and very helpful, and they cook a great breakfast. The room was modern and spacious (the bathroom was the size of my house!) and everything worked. There are 2 dogs here too, but they are (reasonably) well behaved (I'm looking at you Inu...lol). There is a pretty garden area at the back of the house offering shade and fresh air, since the front room gets fairly hot late in the day.
Not so good: I realise they may have 'settling in' problems but they should know that hearing your hosts having a two hour shouting match is not a good look. The raised voices and slamming doors had me on edge all night. It's not something I'd feel comfortable about mentioning face to face either to be honest.
Other than that, a good stay. Thanks guys.

We stayed at this bed and breakfast while on a site seeing holiday in New Zealand.
The owners were very friendly, and made us feel very welcome.
The accomodation was excellent.
If i ever went to New Zealand again we would definately stay there again if at all possible.

We stay at this B & B in August, the room was beautiful, spotless, very comfy bed and unsuite was very nice, the Owners Rob and Sam were very helpful, nothing was any trouble, they suggested restaurants close by and they were great. Would stay again

The whole beach area was booked up and we were fortunate to find this B&B

Rob and Sam are greats hosts. Really comfy clean room. Great location not far from the beach and the malls. Sam even dropped us at the airport. If we're in the Bay of Plenty we'll stay again. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice and cozy b&b near the beach. Excellent location to explore bay of plenty. Close by hobbiton and waiotapu. Owner of cool guy and his breakfast delicious. Room with own bathroom. All clear and with enough space. Big shopping center is close by. Recommend. There is nothing to complain about

The description of the b&b is "luxury suites", and that may have been true ten years ago. The room was clean and well presented but is now dated and the ensuite bathroom was a plastic & lino affair. I'm sorry, but to claim "luxury" for your rooms they need to be fresh, modern and with quality finishes.
Unfortunately during my stay the owners older teenage son felt it necessary to spend 2.5hrs periodically screaming abuse at his parents from the stair landing and slamming his door every 15mins.With no soundproofing between his room and the others on the landing you could hear every text message he received. Obviously they can't help what their son decides to do but it made the stay extremely uncomfortable. Not what your looking for when you just want to rest after a busy day of work.
If your simply looking to be part of a family home then this would be fine, but if your looking for an executive style b&b then you need to go elsewhere.

Royal Palms is such a handily located B&B in Papamoa, Tauranga. Next to great shopping facilities and within an easy walk to the magnificent beach with one of the area's best sea-side restaurants. Very comfortable room, (we had the Paris room), very good breakfast, and Sam and Rob are the most welcoming and attentive hosts.

Lovely couple who's house is your home. Very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and they will accommodate any needs that you have. They have surfboards on request which I haven't seen before. They gave us a bag of fresh Feijoa's from their tree to take with us. The house is very close to the beach and is 2 minutes from shops, cafes and restaurants. We will be returning.

Absolutely amazing people the host's Rob and Sam. I've stayed in alot of places in TAURANGA as I travel there alot for work! This B&B is the best I've ever stayed at great breakfast very comfortable beds and very clean awesome water pressure in the shower aswel . Look no further book with Royal palms B&B today!!!
