As a huge fan of Oscar Niemeyer specifically came to Brasília to see and photograph/video capture his work, staying at this hotel has been a dream come true. The building has been very well maintained and remain authentic to the original vision of the architect with all the beautiful mid century modern minimalist vibe and furniture. There are many tile designs by Athos Bulcão at this hotel as well. Front desk was very helpful in arranging the tour which covers many of the iconic buildings designed by Oscar Niemeyer for very reasonable cost in air conditioned van with multilingual tour guide. They also have bikes for guests to use for 2 hours per use. In addition, breakfast buffet had plenty of variety at the patio area of Oscar restaurant (moved to this area due to Covid pandemic I think). My room had a lovely lake view with spacious terrace area. This is a really special hotel, a true gem.

A long time wanted to visit hotel in our bucket list of amazing Oscar N, architecture. The building, the grounds and the rooms were up to our expectations.
The check in process, the receptionist and room staff all very friendly. Disappointing, to very disappointing were the breakfast, the service at breakfast and restaurant Oscar. The interior is sterile, it lacks of any sort of soul, atmosphere is sadly missing, and the food... breakfast looked and tasted like economy class airline food, white buns of cheap breads, each dish wrapped in plastic . no love at all in the process of preparing it, poor slow service, poor kitchen We spend some hours by the pool , no-one came across from the restaurant to ask if we needed any thing, when ringing a plastic bell you are well to wait for just a while before someone comes ... Sadly because the lack of quality catering service ( consider your are away from any restaurant option , un less you walk 20' or take a cab to the city ) we decided got leave after one night

This hotel is an honor to the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer, with its peculiarly modernistic poetic lines. Its architecture is a continuity of the geniality found in beautiful Brasilia, and its location on the man-made Lake Paranoá, makes it jaw-dropping. Also of notice, is the quality of its service with especial mention to Ms. Letícia Santos, front-desk Supervisor, whose vibrant personality, courtesy, politeness, dedication, attention to detail and professionalism certainly elevate this hotel to a much higher level. Ms. Letícia certainly makes a difference and I am sure that her outstanding attitude will ensure her a stelar career in the hospitality industry.

We stayed for two nights / three days in Brasilia and choose the Brasilia Palace Hotel because of it’s history. it’s a Niemeyer Classic and a masterpiece. The location is supercool at the lake side - a bit outside the city, but that’s no problem at all with UBER connections to everywhere. The room design is classic, bathroom a bit dated, but clean and very good standard. Reception was very helpful to organize tours through the city Also they were giving recommendations for restaurants. We had breakfast included - big buffet at Oscar‘s the Italian Resto on side. Breakfast was ok, with a lot of choice. Overall we totally recommend to stay at the BP!

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, it has a stylistic feel with minimal furnishings allowing you to appreciate the architecture.
And the breakfast is excellent with a range of hot and cold food plus an egg station.
You will need to get an Uber into the centre but, If the suns out, then the hotel pool has a beautiful lake vista and is right by Oscars restaurant.
I think this is the best hotel in Brasilia. We checked out the garish red hotels next to BP and thought them basic. There is a hotel quarter in the centre but they lack character.

My husband and I stayed at Brasilia palace for 2 nights during Easter holiday. First building to be concluded in Brasilia, it was closed in the late 70’s after a fire and restored and reopened in 2007. Located near the Presidential residence, the hotel is comfortable, quiet and has a nice view of Paranoa Lake. But the most interesting aspect of staying there is definitely Niemeyer’s breathtaking architecture. I agree with other reviews that say that the hotel is far from everything, but given that we rented a car (advisable, when visiting Brasilia) the distance did not bother us. For us, the only negative point was restaurant/pool services, which are very limited. Brasilia is a very warm and dry city, so the hotel could better explore its pleasant poolside restaurant service.

Best review is to post a copy an email forwarded to the general manager.
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I recently visited Brasilia for the express purpose to view the architecture and therefore seemed plausible to stay at your hotel. I regret my decision.
The hotel has been renovated sympathetically to the original construction. This, together with the reasonable cost for a hotel room in a city bereft of decent hotels were the only redeeming qualities.
There are numerous areas of concern I wish to bring to your attention:-
1. The bed is far too hard with lifeless pillows. 2. Noting that nearly every street side cafe has a flat screen television, the 1970's version in the room is unacceptable. As is NO English television stations 3. The towels were threadbare at best. 4. The maitre de of the in house restaurant was unprofessional and the insulting experience I endured soured my stay. After walking out one evening, at the invitation of management I returned the next evening only to have my order taken by him forgotten. I hastily ate my dinner and left. I was not going to miss dinner two nights in a row ! 5. When at the pool I requested on not less three occasions a towel; it was never received. 6. The bottom of the pool was slimy and the pool was dirty. I still have the ear infection as proof. 7. A request to have a post card mailed was refused. 8. Apart from the friendly staff at reception the remainder were indifferent and hardly welcoming. 9. A hotel of such calibre should have at least ONE English newspaper available.
My experience at your property was a great disappointment and will be telling my friends in Australia to visit the hotel in a taxi but NOT to stay.
These issues are brought to your attention so you are privy as to what matters need to be addressed if you desire your hotel to merit the high rating on sites such as Trip Advisor. Presently, such ratings are exaggerated and undeserved.

We are two women travelers from USA who love modern architecture and specifically chose to stay here during our last night in Brazil. Upon arrival we were assaulted by their defunct sewer system and the large sewage hose & truck outside of our window. (It should have been a sign.) On the way to our new room - the halls were moldy and old smelling. We had internet challenges in our new room. Staff did not speak English very well so translating was difficult in both the hotel and the restaurant. When I left early the next morning, I paid for any extra charges (which took almost 30 minutes making me rushed for my international flight). I left behind my friend who had a later flight that night, who was sleeping in. My friend called and emailed me around noon (as I reached Panama and she was checking out) to inform me they had her "under house arrest" (with a guard shadowing her where ever she went) because THEY FORGOT to charge my credit for the room upon arrival the day before. I was thinking it was already charged online when I made the booking AND when I checked out at 3am paying any "balance" on the room. After several emails and phone calls the room was properly charged and my friend "released" in time to catch her int'l flight. Not the QUALITY of experience you might envision from a hotel of this so-called caliber. Recommendation: Drive by or walk through to see the masterpiece, then stay somewhere else, nearer the airport. (FYI - It cost 60 reais (about $40 US) to take a taxi to the airport.)

We stayed at the Brasília Palace Hotel during our honeymoon and really, really enjoyed it. I agree with other reviewers that the rooms are a bit drab but I don’t think this is why you’d choose to stay here (or not). Come to appreciate Niemeyer’s work! You feel like you are staying in a time capsule and experiencing 60s glamour. We loved it. We had a great meal in the restaurant and enjoyed both our breakfasts, and the whole team were very friendly and welcoming.
