1. Well located - Countdown across the road with the popular restaurants like Chim Choo Ree and several other attractions including the city centre, all within walking distance.
2. Furnishings - basic but comfortable with a small fridge which was useful, tea and coffee making faclities, iron etc.
3. Surprised to see a very small dipping pool in the front of the hotel near reception.
4. Like the fact that there was on-site and covered parking.
5. Good quiet a/c and heat pump in the room and both shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.
6. Complimentary and generously laid out continental breakfast in the lobby
Not so great IMO (in my opinion):
1. My only negative comment was regarding the cleanliness. I am not completely sure that the bedsheets and pillow cases are changed daily. There were dark coloured strands of hair on the pillows on the bed and one of the pillows had an obvious large blood stain which I requested the staff change. They did immediately.
2. Water pressure for showering was not ideal in the bathroom.

Our pool is 3m/8m ( 24sqm) and has a maximum depth of 1.4m. I would like to express our apologies that you found stain on the pillows obvious this has been oversight by our housekeeping team. I have advised this to our head housekeeper and we ensure to keep best cleaning standard practice as always. Very professional and polite staff all round, assisted with a couple of minor issues with a missing tv remote and a fan directional vane on the air conditioning unit fell out. Great free continental breakfast, just have to tell people not to burn toast as you can smell it on the first floor at rooms 114. Rooms very clean and tidy with comfortable beds. Bathroom good size though didn't get to use the spa bath though great shower and pressure. We drove into town, though it wouldn't take long to walk it. Lots of car parking spaces.

Stayed here one night before boarding the train to Wellington. The place was quiet and peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable (yes, even the bed!). The bathroom has a spa tub/shower combo that is roomy and bright. The breakfast was well put together and there was plenty of choices. The best part for me was the automatic espresso machine available during breakfast time. You can make a coffee drink (or two) to your liking. Honestly, what more can one ask for in a place to rest and recoup while travelling? I sincerely appreciate the efforts this hotel has made to offer the best value.

This was my third time at Ventura and is likely to remain my choice of accommodation in Hamilton.
The room price is reasonable, rooms are comfortable and clean, ‘current’ decor, well appointed with what I need for my brief stays. The free on-site parking and almost central CBD location close to two major supermarkets are major positives as I find these seriously lacking at other town locales, and in other cities.
I also enjoy the 11am check out as I usually do not need to be anywhere first thing in the morning.
Although the continental breakfast was included in the room rate, I didn’t partake this time so not sure the breakfast area has been improved on since my last visit.

We stayed in 2 rooms for 13 days during the Christmas/New Year’s weeks. Breakfast was very efficient and clean. We especially liked the front desk manager lady who was there every morning and we could tell that she was very dedicated to her job. The rooms were cleaned very quickly every day and kept in wonderful shape. The beds were very comfortable and warm. The hotel felt safe. It is quite a distance to walk to Victoria street, which is the Main Street with all of the restaurants so if you love walking for about 20 minutes to get there then this is a good place. We didn’t mind. It is on a quiet dead-end road so there is not much traffic noise. Parking was plentiful. 2 grocery stores are nearby but you need a car to get safely to them because crossing the roundabouts is dangerous. We would stay here again in the future. It was very quiet most of the nights, even with a whole Cricket team staying there. Only on one of the nights the Indian music was so loud until 1:30am and guys talking went on until 4am.

Noisy location very basic and tired rooms, located between major roads so there is quite a bit of traffic noise. We were disturbed our first night with four guys in the room next door partying till 4.30am staff did ask them to be quiet but they carried on. Kitchenette had a microwave kettle sink crockery and cutlery. It’s clean enough but it is a while since it’s been cleaned deeply. Parking is great and WiFi was good enough. There is a supermarket across the road. Staff were excellent friendly and helpful.

I am a motel cleaner myself and I must admit I did check everywhere out of curiosity and I was not disappointed, everything was spotless, everything you need is in the room except for a microwave and oven but Uber eats is a great option and I feel not as guilty ordering when you don’t have any other choice. I tried to watch the TV which wouldn’t work at first so needed to be reset then once it was working could not get sound with Netflix but had sound with the normal tv channels wasn’t a problem for us as we had devices and the wifi works well, the handle for the shower and bath are connected, normally I’m guessing u can turn them on separately but it wasn’t allowing me to do that, so when I had a shower the bath tap was also running. Very minor things wrong that didn’t affect our time here

Nothing special, just a standard 3* business hotel. Room was dated, tired even, but spotlessly clear. There was plenty of free parking available.
Continental breakfast was $13pp... cereal, toast, fruit, coffee etc. Was good value for what it was. Restaurants were a 10-15 min walk away, two large supermarkets within a 5 min walk.

We stayed one night but great unit on the whole.
Elevator could be fixed to save carrying bags to 3rd floor plus just a couple of tidy ups.

Just a single night's stay, very efficient check in and check out, good sized room, quiet and pleasant. Simple (included) self service breakfast reminded me of American hotels. Only fault was that we had to drive right around the outside of the hotel to find a suitable parking spot for a mid sized car, as many of the spots are really small and tightly packed to each other. This meant we walked from the car to the hotel entrance via the public footpath, which was unusual but okay.

Hi there we stayed at this inn about a month or so ago, our room only had kettle, fridge cups glasses and assorted condiments for coffee etc, the milk was in those small pottles
