The hotel was very nicely decorated throughout, and the terrace was beautiful. There was unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate every morning and a lovely lounge to sit and relax. Our room had the most amazing soap, shampoo and conditioner and I love that the bottles were refillable and so there was no plastic waste. There were lockers in the hotel free of charge so we could leave our luggage on the day of check-out which was a really nice extra. The staff were so helpful and the room was cleaned each morning.

This was our 3rd visit to Barcelona and wanted to stay in a smaller hotel. For us this was a perfect choice. The lady on reception who checked us in was very polite and friendly and checked us in quickly. We had requested a quiet room which we were pleased with as it was a superior room located on the 5th floor at the back of the hotel overlooking the terrace. The room size itself was fine and was spotlessly clean with a well appointed bathroom (great shower) with very good complimentary products. The terrace on the first floor provides complimentary drinks up till lunch time with a very pleasant relaxing area outside (I know it seems to be the norm now but I do still like to have the drinks facilities in the room). The location for the metro is perfect with Girona a 5 minute walk away with a fantastic little bakery and coffee shop on the same corner called Esana. We found that nearly all of the main sights for us were walkable (Sagrada and L Rambla both around 15 mins) with the odd 1 or 2 in need of a metro ride. This really is a very good hotel at a great price. All of the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful, the cleaning staff do a great job daily in the room. There are plenty of restaurants close by. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will at some point in the future be back.

I originally booked 3 nights at Praktik Garden, then extended my stay by another 3 nights. It is very well located, close to the subway line and walking distance to most things. Felt safe walking around solo. Staff was very friendly. Theres free coffee/tea in the morning in the lounge. The rooms are a bit small (often the norm in European hotels) but the bed is big and comfortable. I would definitely stay again. There are storage lockers to store your bags prior to check in if needed, they operate with a 1 euro coin which you get back after.

Stayed here for 4 nights with a friend and loved the hotel. The room was quite small but had everything you need and looked very beautiful (we especially loved the balcony). The whole hotel was really clean and the people behind the reception were very lovely and helpful. The free coffee in the morning was a good start of the day as well. If you love plants, you’ll love this place. Metro stations are nearby and places as la rambla, arc de triomf, the Gaudi houses and Sagrada Familia are all within walking distance.

Lovely hotel in Barcelona. The room was also cleaned with fresh bedding and towels everyday which was great. The free coffee machine was a great touch and good coffee too. No option for a mocha but you can make one with the other options which was really nice touch. The garden terrace area was beautiful with lots of big plants everywhere, was nice to chill there in the morning or after a long day walking around. The staff where very helpful, good location easy to walk to the Rambla in 15-20 min walk, good bars and restaurants around the neighbourhood (try Rooq on the next block for the best chicken burger of your life and a beer for €2) there is a big supermarket on the same block as the hotel and a bakery with fantastic pastries which was great. Overall great stay would definitely recommend.

Amazing reception. Everyone was very helpful and respectful towards me. The room I stayed in was just perfect with a big nice shower and the bed was just too comfortable. I appreciated the daily cleaners and the free coffee & tea. The location was so good! Everywhere I needed to be was within walking distance. It was so hard to be in my room at the hotel. The room was smelly from the bathroom, my skin got all itchy from the blankets and my nose got clogged as soon as I layed on the bed (I’ve never had that before). Sleeping is also very hard since the walls are super thin so you hear everything. In the morning the people who clean are super loud and don’t take into account that you’re sleeping in since you’re on vacation. On top of that the personell is not friendly at all! I like to try new hotels in Barcelona but this one was the worst, I’ve never expercienced something like this.

I booked this for 2 nights based on a bloggers recommendation and I’m so glad I did. The hotel was clean, fresh and modern. The staff were so welcoming for our first time in the city and I felt like we were in such an ideal and safe location. There was no breakfast at the hotel but they offered coffee in the morning and could sit out on their communal terrace which was just lovely.

We stayed at the Praktik Garden Hotel in Barcelona the night before cruising on the Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady cruise ship. Due to airport delays, we did not arrive at the hotel until after 10 PM, but the front desk was cheerful in greeting us and checking us in. After a brief stop in our room, we returned to the front desk to ask for dinner suggestions, and the recommendation was for the Cafe Del Centre just around the corner, and we enjoyed it very much. By American standards, the room is small, but we did not mind. It also took us a minute or two to realize that the room key needed to be inserted into the module on the wall in order to keep the lights on. After a very long day, we had a restful night of sleep, but were up early the next morning in order to attend Catholic Mass at Sagrada Familia, which was only about a 20 minute walk from the hotel, and was a major reason for us selecting this hotel. There is a very nice garden on the first floor above street level where there is a coffee machine and light pastries. While we did get hot drinks there, we opted to buy breakfast returning from Sagrada Familia at Funky Bakers, which is just up the road from the hotel, and the baked goods from this store were fantastic. At checkout, we very much appreciated that the front desk called a taxi for us, and if you do this, be aware that the meter is running, so do not be late in meeting your cab at the prescribed time in front of the hotel. We very much enjoyed staying at this hotel, and we would certainly recommend it to those visiting Barcelona!

I would strongly advise against booking a single room in this hotel. These rooms have the size of a prison cell and only one tiny tiny window to a wall! The pictures on booking.com do not show that and are completely misleading.
When I complained about that to the receptionist she just referred me to the fact that it was written somewhere in the description that single rooms were smaller. Well, there’s no description that says you’ll feel like an inmate with barely enough room to turn around, get dressed or put your luggage. I would have liked to be transferred to a nicer room, but she refused to do that without charging me extra, which I thought was unfair, seeing how I agreed to a certain price expecting the room to look like in the pictures displayed on booking.
On the plus side: the claustrophobic room makes you go out as much as possible because you really don’t want to spend your holiday in a place like this.

Didn't stay in a single - but all less expensive rooms over look an ugly stairwell - but the windows are frosted to avoid the eyesore - everything about the place was pleasant except the beds are extremely hard - I like softer beds and slept badly !
We inform you that there are no fridge in the rooms or in the common areas. We have a smal one in the Front Desk for medicins or to keep baby food, etc.
