Eurostars Monumental Hotel sits between the sites of The Sagrada Familia and the Agbar Tower, the two great vantage points of Barcelona's today and yesterday There are so many things we could say about The Sagrada Familia. That one day it will have 18 spires. That, of all the buildings under construction in Europe, it is the one that was first started. That it is the most visited monument in Catalonia. That, at the current pace, work will be finished by 2026.

This hotel is so lovely, I can only say amazing things about it.

The staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are very nice, and very clean. We opted to have breakfast included in our booking and I'm so glad we added it on, because the breakfast is lovely and such a good variety - hot cooked breakfast, fresh pastries and cakes, amazing coffee, yogurt and cereal station. It is absolutely worth the extra money. On request they gave me oat milk each morning too.

Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm. On the day of our departure, there was a room where we were able to safely keep our luggage so that we could continue exploring the city without carrying our suitcase around, which was extremely helpful as our flight was at 9:30pm.

The location of the hotel is excellent, with La Sagrada Familia being less than a 10 minute walk away. It is also very close (literally a 2 minute walk away) from Monumental metro station, which you can take to Passeig Grácia or change to go to Drassanes, which are the main areas in the city, with the gothic quarter and la rambla, etc, with many bars, restaurants and shops. I'd also recommend purchasing a 5 or 7 day metro pass whilst there as is is cost effective and you can use it to and from the airport and on metro and buses (do check this though when buying tickets as there are various options).

It is also very easy to get to Bogatell beach from the hotel - you can take the V21 or V23 buses from around the corner, and it takes just under 20 minutes. It's a lovely beach with lots of restaurants and beach bars around.

I'd highly recommend this hotel and I think when we next go to Barcelona, we will stay there again.

My husband and me just returned from our trip in Europe in this very difficult time to travel. We stayed in Eurostars Monumental for 4 nights and enjoying our stay a lot. Location of this hotel is amazing: we walked to main attractions and we are after 60 yo, very nice places to eat very close, stuff is very friendly: we needed Covid test to return back home and they recommended the place and emailed us the receipt;
The room is good and we could see little bit of Sograda de Familia, breakfasts are good and the last breakfast they gave us in box to eat in airport. Interestingly food even fruits were allowed in airplane but not drinks.
Everything is clean, amazing Covid precautions. We both are medical professionals.
We felt very comfortable in this hotel. We give 5 stars.

Location is good since it's very close to the La Sagrada Familia. We arrived early and they were able to hold on to our bags while we ventured around. The room is not bad, however the shower door leaks everywhere and makes the entire bathroom floor wet. Breakfast downstairs is pretty good and the lobby is nice. Front desk was also able to call us a taxi to get to the airport upon departure.

I stayed here for five nights on business and I found it a cold and soulless hotel. I have been to Barcelona many times and this is by far the worst hotel I have stayed in. It is cold, the rooms are so small - I felt like I was in a cupboard, the mattress was so hard I am sure the floor would have been softer, no hot drinks available in the room, no diet drinks in minibar, had to keep asking for water to be replenished, can only buy wine by the bottle, no onsite dining facilities and room service takes ages, has a minimum spend of 20 euros and you have to pay cash or card separately as this is organised off site & on a busy main road. On a positive nice bathroom, close to centre of Barcelona and nice staff. Would I recommend - no, would I come back - no. As a lady travelling alone on business this was not the hotel for me.

The temperature in my room was 27 degrees Celsius at night and I was advised by the front desk to open a window to lower the temperature in the room. According to them, hotel management decided to leave the airconditioning switched off. Opening the window of your room, in a hotel that is next to a busy crossing, together with the high temperature will make sure that you don’t sleep.
For a 4 star hotel this is well below par!

The only good thing about this hotel is the location, very close to sagrada familia and Metro Monumental. But the rooms are not soundproof, there is noise from the street and the worst, the noise from the hotel can be heard late at night, I really couldn't rest. There are very few options for breakfast. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel.

This hotel is very good. Reminded us of Hampton Inn's in the states. Very good bed. Only reason not 5 stars is they turned off the AC Nov. 1st (we were told) and we visited a couple weeks later during an unusually warm spell so the room was a bit uncomfortably hot at night.

Staff friendly; location is good to segrada familia; very busy, to be expected. Comfortable bedding; great breakfast included; only negatives were the lobby “bar” is never open, no happy hour, Barcelona is in complete construction mode everywhere, noisy all day long. Took a trip to Sitges and enjoyed the beach. Recommend two days in Barcelona is enough for most people! Highly recommend Tuscania, say hello to Danielle for us. We ate there 3 times in four days, great view of the segrada from your outdoor table.

Decent hotel but terrible street noise. Location is away from the center but close to Sagrada Familia. Hotel is decent but not really at the standards of a 4star. Breakfast is quite limited and poor quality but the worst is the thin windows facing the street which allow a loud noise from the street at all times, which affects the sleep quality.

Cancelled reservation at the last monent with the ridiculous excuse of the hotel being renovated. They suddenly decided to renovate exactly our room. And didn't plan it back in time when I made the reservation. It's not something you would expect from a 4 star "reputable" hotel. So, watch out when you bbok this hotel.
