A lovely few days in Barcelona made easier by the friendliness and helpfulness of the Hotel staff. Using the recommended T-Casual travel card for €8 (10 trips on any public transport) made getting around the city really easy and all public transport is clean and on time. Hotel, itself, was clean, tidy and very convenient. Staff were happy to answer any queries and recommend local places to eat and visit. Would definitely visit this hotel again and recommend to friends wanting a short break using the room to sleep in only. Breakfast was satisfactory (albeit a little luke warm) but plenty of it and as much as you wanted.

We were both delighted with the hotel. Every member of staff we dealt with was superb! Our room on the second floor looked out on to the street, good quality windows kept any noise out. The hotel was kept beautifully clean. Breakfast had a wide collection of continental treats and was competitively priced. In terms of the location, it is a 9 minute walk from the Sagrada, making it central but not in the thick of it. Lots of wonderful shops at hand, the tapas on the corner of this hotel is fabulous! The room was cozy, towels were always changed when needed. And despite being very hot during the day, the air conditioner immediately returned to the ideal temperature. The staff are friendly. It has lockers to leave your bags in case you need to store them after check-out time or before check-in. Coffee from the machine was not so good. And to drink an espresso you had to pay. Breakfast was good, but there could be more variety of fruits or cakes, for example.

My wife and I stayed here for a city break, booked through TUI. The hotel is an ideal base for a city break, being situated in the heart of the city area and within about 10 minutes walk from two Metro stations, which provide access to all areas of the city. The Sagrada Familia is very close by - about 10 minutes walk. The room was very comfortable and clean, with it's own air conditioning, which you can change to suit your needs. It was serviced every day and the towels changed. Breakfast is a self service buffet, with a good selection of hot and cold food. Apart from the breakfast room and a small lobby area, there are no other public areas - no bar or place to get food, apart from breakfast. This really wasn't an issue for us, as there are so many great places to eat and drink close by. The hotel has secure lockers for 2 Euros (you need a coin) where you can leave your luggage either before your room is ready or once you have checked out, giving you time to explore the city without dragging it around behind you. I would certainly recommend a stay here.

This is just my personal view everyone is different but the hotel Aranea is a perfect little gem located right in the heart of Eixample area very close to all that you need . Only 10 mins walk to sagardia familla 10 mins walk to monumental train station we used this 3 days of are 5 day stay the hotel staff are very helpful with any questions , this was are first trip to Barcelona and we had a breakfast included in are group . it was a cold breakfast something i personally didn’t have other than coffee and toast . It was a clean hotel with a basic room It was cleaned each day there was also a small kettle and basic fridge that was not really cold just chill but this didn’t bother myself or group either as we only slept . Overall this is right in the middle of everything and the staff are great and yes I would stay again 100% so why am I only given this 4 stars and not 5 is only because a little more choice and hot food at breakfast would be nice . but please it’s as perfect location

Visited recently and the staff were very accommodating letting us check in 4 hours early, this gave us an extra day exploring the area. It’s a 10 minute walk from Sagrada Familia and around 35 minute from the beach and Park Guell. The streets are great to walk around so we didn’t mind the walk. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely return. There is an Aldi around the corner which was great to pick up some bits when we were doing a lot of walking in a day, also couple of nice bars just across the road. The city tax for us was around €18 for 3 nights (2 of us). The staff were very friendly and booked our taxi to the airport for us which came to around €42. On the way there we just hopped on the air bus which you can buy tickets for online (wear a mask), it drops you off in the centre Placa de Catalunya and then the hotel is around a 15/20 minute walk so very doable. Overall, great hotel and great stay.

Really good hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, brilliant English too. Hotel is ideal to get to main site seeing destinations. Great quirky, chilled bar right across the road, do amazing sangria. We paid for breakfast once and it was okay, but glad I didn't pay for it to be included. Plenty of nice cafes around. Only negative is the walls are a little thin, but that it. Rooms are clean, has your basic needs and have amazing water pressure in the shower !!! We took the train from the airport to the closes metro which was 15mins away from the hotel, only cost us €10 for both of us. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

10 blocks away from Catalunya Square, you can reach this hotel walking in about 10 mins. Located few blocks away from La Sagrada Familia cathedral, its a very convenient point to rest after a day of wandering by this crowded city. rooms are small, but will accomodate perfectly for a party of 2, even better if you travel light, clean pristine bathrooms and very kind and helpful staff. i would say the money i paid for this hotel was well spent bucks, since i loved my stay. if i had to choose again, i will do right away without any hesitation.

Lovely hotel with spacious rooms and a brilliant bath! Very comfortable beds too. The staff are really helpful with tourist advice. It is easy to find and easy to explore from. There is a great roof terrace for evening drinks overlooking the skyline. There are huge lockers in reception for storing luggage on arrival, and weighing scales to check weight before travel. We loved our stay her .......only downside, grim breakfast. Everything was horribly sweet, including the coffee from the machine and we took out own no in. Bread was odd and stale. The cakes were cheap supermarket ones cut up. Pity. Oh and the toaster blew the .lights one morning so we could not have anything hot!

The best option from the airport to the hotel is to take a blue bus, about 10€ rt, to Cataluna square, and take a metro 2-3 stations.
