This three sfar hotel is a very easy 250 metre walk from Hall 1 of the impressive Gare de Lyon railway station with its famous Le Train Bleu restaurant and bar, plus numerous other options.
It was renovated in 2019. The ground floor is trendy with free tea, coffee, hot chocolate and infused water. The breakfast area looks great but at €14 per person, I preferred buying from the Monop supermarket 80 metres away.
Check in was quick. The lift stops between each floor due to the way the carpeted spiral staircase was built. Therefore the less mobile should not book.
The room was small but well designed with colourful blackout curtains and a pouffe under a small drsk that had good lighting.
The bed was fine but how I longed for a top sheet as I could not get the aircon to properly wkrk.
There was no shelf to store luggage.
The shower was a half circle with copious hot water but shampoo was only supplied on the first night. There was bodywash. Larger persons might not squeeze into the shower. Towels were excellent. There was hairdryer and shaving mirror.
Due to double glazing there was no street noise, nor any street pickpocket problems.
A well run hotel.

If you are looking for a clean, good value hotel that is located very close to Gare de Lyon then you can’t really go wrong with Hotel Locomo. My room was very small (especially the bathroom) although it was clean and decorated and furnished quite quirkily. Staff were friendly and I’ll certainly use this hotel again when I come to Paris to see the tennis at the Accor Arena.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The lobby is not spacious but it is cleverly designed and the furniture is nice. There is a small bar with a small selection of wines, craft beer and premium artisanal fruit juices. My room was tiny though also cleverly designed and furbished. It was clean and practical, not totally soundproof but quiet enough. There were books and comics available on the shelves. On Valentine’s Day, the hotel treated us with a delicious high quality fruit juice (mentioned above), a chocolate and a nice card. The standard breakfast is French, with fresh good bread, croissant, chocolatine/pain au chocolat, jam, butter, and a selection of fruit juices, but it was possible to order extras. It was generous and the price seemed fair.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel Locomo last week. The service was impeccable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful and not to mention, the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in a central location near Gare de Lyon station, which is one of the busiest station in Paris. Close to many attraction and restaurants. The conference room was specious and well-equipped and suitable for any business affairs. They also have a good size Hammam in the hotel. The Hotel Locomo is a great choice for anyone travelling in business and wants to stay in the central of Paris. I'll definitely return here and recommend it to all my friends. I am very happy with the night spent in hotel Locomo. My single room was cute and quiet with an excellent bed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciated the special breakfast for the half-marathoners as well as the orange and grapefruit juices gratefully offered after the race. Well done!

It was a small yet very modern and clean room. The bed was spacious and all facilities were present and working. The breakfast is not very large, yet you can get eggs and bacon as well as a selection of breads and spreads. Another minus is the elevator which is situated between floors. You will therefore always have to walk up/down half a floor with your luggage.

I actually really enjoyed this little hotel! My room was a tiny shoebox but it was CLEAN, and the AC worked! Having come from a dirty/smelly hotel room with no AC, this was so welcome. The location was incredible (in terms of being so close to the train station, and just a very short walk from cute areas with lots of restaurants and bars). I really enjoyed the strolls I had and the ability to come back and crash in a cold, clean room. As a solo business traveler, this was really all I needed and wanted. If I were traveling with a partner or family, I'd want other amenities (such as a refrigerator for all of the amazing leftovers you just don't want to leave behind, or to keep water chilled) but you go into this place knowing that's not what you're getting. The lobby actually had a little refreshment center for cold water, which I really appreciated.

This hotel has many positives but it has one big negative. The circular stairs were retrofitted with an elevator. However, the elevator doesn’t stop at the floors. It stops BETWEEN the floors on a tiny triangular step, making it very difficult to manoeuvre luggage up or down the half flight of stairs to your room. This annoyed me a lot because I chose this hotel because it had an elevator and we had two large, heavy suitcases.
But the positives are: close walking distance to the Gare de Lyon and many restaurant, well insulated windows to keep out street noise, funky decor

This hotel is just FUN! The decor, the beds, the staff, the food—all amazing. Super convenient location. Away from the tourists but close to a major transport hub that can get you anywhere in the city! We got off the Thalys at Garde de Nord and got to this Garde de Lyon station (a block from the hotel) via the RER train in about 6 mins? That train is FAST! If you want to be in a normal, residential neighborhood filled with cafes and shops that Parisians enjoy and where you don’t overpay, this is the spot. Loved it!
