Sound proof is hopeless in the rooms and the housekeeping lady come knocking on your door early in the morning even though the check out time is 12pm. Obviously they were trying to chase us out of the room so they can do the housekeeping.
Slapping doors and noise from street was annoying. Many vehicles pass by even in the middle of the night.
Also there were only shower gel and towels. We expected slippers and toothbrushes should be provided which was not and the gentleman at the reception directed us to buy from the local stores. We could only find toothbrushes and paste but not the slippers. It was a bit annoying as the carpet looked filthy. We jumped around the room on the sofa and bed in order to move around after we showered and didn’t want to get our feet dirty.
Not a hotel I would stay again
The bedding was clean, thankfully but the headboard was crumbling away so didn’t take long to have bits all over the pillows. There was also what looked like sick stains on the floor at both sides of the bed.
Around the bed was hovered but under the table/stool was clearly not as lots of crumbs and bits were found. The bathroom was mainly clean apart from hairs found in the shower and along the corners or the floor.
Our towels were changed everyday but we’re clearly for small children or size 0 models.
The window did open which was welcomed in the warm room but there was nothing to keep it open, as it was windy it kept banging open and shut until we finally closed it.
A kettle was provided with tea and coffee which were just placed on the table, (no tray or anything) there was no where to put the used spoon apart from back on the table. Milk was only provided on day 1, luckily we had a mini fridge so I purchased my own.
We put a do not disturb sign on our door each night, although no one tried to come in (apart from the 1st morning) banging and talking was heard everyday which sounded like it was right outside the door.
Lastly there may have been an issue with the wiring in the room. When the small lamps were on the would turn on and off depending where you was stood in the room.
A bit of attention to detail and the cleanliness of the room and the hotel would have been perfect.
Check-in was very disappointing. The first room we were given had two single beds despite booking a double bed. A simple error corrected by phoning reception and changing rooms.
However the second room we were offered was also not suitable. It was on the ground floor - not usually a problem only that it wasn’t quite on the ground floor. It was actually up a flight of stairs in an area without lift access. With two large and heavy suitcases this was a bit of an inconvenience to say the least. As a result we changed rooms for a further time. Not the greatest start to our stay but each time the staff were polite and understanding. They did seem to have a slightly jaded demeanour however. Interestingly there is a picture of a former, longest serving colleague on the wall over reception which was an interesting tribute.
Our final room looked to have been recently renovated, looked generally clean and comfortable and while a bit small we were reasonably satisfied. The carpet was a little dirty and there were spots of black mould on the window surrounds but wasn’t major. The bed seemed a little small for a double but was pretty comfy and we had no trouble sleeping. The room did tend to get hot at night so you may need to open the window ajar at night for some ventilation. The walls are a little thin with noise from neighbouring rooms often audible in the evening and conversations between cleaning staff in the corridor often heard in a morning but wasn’t an issue during the night. On a positive, the bathroom was clean and modern and the shower was good too.
A couple of the lifts were temperamental with dodgy doors resulting in us on one occasion after three days having to prise the doors open to exit the lift which left us feeling nervy each journey thereafter.
Overall, a hotel where the negatives seem to outweigh the benefits. Despite the favourable location, the next time I stay in London I can safely say I’ll be looking for an alternative.

The room was horrid from top to bottom. The bed was two beds on wheels, this means your items and body fall through the middle the entire time, risking injury and preventing couples from being near each other. Our last day we pulled off the blankets to cool off and found what looked like blood stains on the mattress cover. The walls were dirty, covered in food stains and scuffs. The TV is tiny and attached to a wall in a place where literally only one place in the entire room can see. There's only two outlets in the entire room, we had to choose between charging devices and using the fan.
Bathroom has a sink and shower so small that the shower door wont stay closed, leaving water on the floor at all times (I'm not large, weigh less than 120 lbs). They only provide scratchy towels that are too small and so rough they actually kind of hurt. They provide no toiletries except a weird smelling soap that's bolted to the wall. The hotel room provides a fridge but they have no microwave on premises so forget takeaway food or leftovers.
Honestly, this is the worst hotel experience we've ever had. We spent most of our time enjoying the town but we dreaded coming back and the bad conditions made planning difficult. We feel really misled. The hotels makes absolutely no effort for their customers to be comfortable or happy. It needs almost everything changed. Good location though.

When we came back, the spare key card was gone. We left the sign on the handle for the room to be cleaned so we assume that the cleaner took it. However, this I assume would explain why the bathrooms have mould in them. Although after we bought the mould killer the bathroom was fine - no more mould and it took 5 minutes. And the wifi did not work properly for the duration of our stay.
On our second night, myself and my friend had showers and turned on the TV to relax after our day and were chatting and laughing. Granted it was 23.00pm, but security knocked on our door because we were being too loud and said that the TV was too high. The walls are paper thin regardless. We could hear another room playing Sky News at 7am for the duration of our stay. We weren't playing loud music and the TV was not loud at all because we were getting ready for bed. There was only 2 of us, so that definitely tainted our stay because we were scared to watch TV the rest of the trip in case we were being too loud.
The bed was comfy on a positive note and the location is brilliant with loads of transport around.
Would I recommend this hotel? Probably not unless it is a last resort and you haven't got another option. Obviously the price is more budget than luxury and to be fair we didn't spend much time in the room. But at the end of the day we shouldn't have had to clean both hotel rooms.

Even though we could not stay in the rooms that we paid in advance for, not only that we did not receive any sort of refund, but the payment has been taken twice from our account. No complaints policy and no attempts of solving the issues whatsoever! We wasted 3 hours trying to make them understand that the conditions of their rooms were improper. This experience was traumatising for our children as well, and it ruined the purpose of the trip
