Many guests praise Central Park Hotel for its prime location, surrounded by parks and convenient access to dining and public transportation. While the hotel's cleanliness and certain amenities like decent showers and beverage facilities are appreciated, opinions on its value and service vary, with some travelers finding the cost reasonable and others pointing out hidden fees and experiencing poor service. The atmosphere is perceived as lively, sometimes tipping into rowdiness, and despite clean rooms, reviewers frequently mention that the rooms can feel cramped and may lack proper maintenance.

Good location (3-5 mins walk from Underground Queensway) and good shower but there are loads of hotels along the street with similar prices that looked better. However, the service was alright.
Sound proof is hopeless in the rooms and the housekeeping lady come knocking on your door early in the morning even though the check out time is 12pm. Obviously they were trying to chase us out of the room so they can do the housekeeping.
Slapping doors and noise from street was annoying. Many vehicles pass by even in the middle of the night.
Also there were only shower gel and towels. We expected slippers and toothbrushes should be provided which was not and the gentleman at the reception directed us to buy from the local stores. We could only find toothbrushes and paste but not the slippers. It was a bit annoying as the carpet looked filthy. We jumped around the room on the sofa and bed in order to move around after we showered and didn’t want to get our feet dirty.
Not a hotel I would stay again

Stayed here for a weekend away with my BF. Wasn’t expecting the ritz as the price was really cheap for the location but the cleanliness of the room was pretty poor.

The bedding was clean, thankfully but the headboard was crumbling away so didn’t take long to have bits all over the pillows. There was also what looked like sick stains on the floor at both sides of the bed.

Around the bed was hovered but under the table/stool was clearly not as lots of crumbs and bits were found. The bathroom was mainly clean apart from hairs found in the shower and along the corners or the floor.

Our towels were changed everyday but we’re clearly for small children or size 0 models.

The window did open which was welcomed in the warm room but there was nothing to keep it open, as it was windy it kept banging open and shut until we finally closed it.

A kettle was provided with tea and coffee which were just placed on the table, (no tray or anything) there was no where to put the used spoon apart from back on the table. Milk was only provided on day 1, luckily we had a mini fridge so I purchased my own.

We put a do not disturb sign on our door each night, although no one tried to come in (apart from the 1st morning) banging and talking was heard everyday which sounded like it was right outside the door.

Lastly there may have been an issue with the wiring in the room. When the small lamps were on the would turn on and off depending where you was stood in the room.

A bit of attention to detail and the cleanliness of the room and the hotel would have been perfect.

The hotel is well located about five and ten minute walks from Queensbury and Bayswater Stations respectively. Hyde Park is just over the road, with Kensington Palace and the Royal Albert Hall a short walk further.

Check-in was very disappointing. The first room we were given had two single beds despite booking a double bed. A simple error corrected by phoning reception and changing rooms.

However the second room we were offered was also not suitable. It was on the ground floor - not usually a problem only that it wasn’t quite on the ground floor. It was actually up a flight of stairs in an area without lift access. With two large and heavy suitcases this was a bit of an inconvenience to say the least. As a result we changed rooms for a further time. Not the greatest start to our stay but each time the staff were polite and understanding. They did seem to have a slightly jaded demeanour however. Interestingly there is a picture of a former, longest serving colleague on the wall over reception which was an interesting tribute.

Our final room looked to have been recently renovated, looked generally clean and comfortable and while a bit small we were reasonably satisfied. The carpet was a little dirty and there were spots of black mould on the window surrounds but wasn’t major. The bed seemed a little small for a double but was pretty comfy and we had no trouble sleeping. The room did tend to get hot at night so you may need to open the window ajar at night for some ventilation. The walls are a little thin with noise from neighbouring rooms often audible in the evening and conversations between cleaning staff in the corridor often heard in a morning but wasn’t an issue during the night. On a positive, the bathroom was clean and modern and the shower was good too.

A couple of the lifts were temperamental with dodgy doors resulting in us on one occasion after three days having to prise the doors open to exit the lift which left us feeling nervy each journey thereafter.

Overall, a hotel where the negatives seem to outweigh the benefits. Despite the favourable location, the next time I stay in London I can safely say I’ll be looking for an alternative.

Aside from the location and polite front desk staff, this is the worst hotel experience we've ever had. The room looked absolutely nothing like the pictures. To start, the room was disgusting, hot, tiny, and had almost no furniture so we had to keep our clothes in our bags. Seriously, it only has a bed, table, and tiny closet nook. The thermostat was broken, making the room unbearably hot; the staff brought us a fan but never checked back in. We had to choose between sweating all night or sleeping with the window open and listening to the loud street. The walls are extremely thin anyway, this hotel is very very loud. The Wifi barely worked, I couldn't even load my emails or send out messages; it was a problem paying bills while traveling.

The room was horrid from top to bottom. The bed was two beds on wheels, this means your items and body fall through the middle the entire time, risking injury and preventing couples from being near each other. Our last day we pulled off the blankets to cool off and found what looked like blood stains on the mattress cover. The walls were dirty, covered in food stains and scuffs. The TV is tiny and attached to a wall in a place where literally only one place in the entire room can see. There's only two outlets in the entire room, we had to choose between charging devices and using the fan.

Bathroom has a sink and shower so small that the shower door wont stay closed, leaving water on the floor at all times (I'm not large, weigh less than 120 lbs). They only provide scratchy towels that are too small and so rough they actually kind of hurt. They provide no toiletries except a weird smelling soap that's bolted to the wall. The hotel room provides a fridge but they have no microwave on premises so forget takeaway food or leftovers.

Honestly, this is the worst hotel experience we've ever had. We spent most of our time enjoying the town but we dreaded coming back and the bad conditions made planning difficult. We feel really misled. The hotels makes absolutely no effort for their customers to be comfortable or happy. It needs almost everything changed. Good location though.

Good points: great location. 5 minutes walk to two tube stations and opposite Kensington palace. Bar was cheaper than town, friendly staff, fridge and hair dryer in the room and beds comfy. Bad points: no air con in the room, bath towels are more like hand towels and the TV didn’t work. I booked this as a cheap break for me and my son and mum and dad so booked a double and twin room. After checking in I found our room was set up as a double so was given an alternative room straight away. Later that night a wall light fell off the wall and the wires were showing while it was lit. Called reception and was moved rooms straight away. Once in the third room, the TV had sound but no picture but to be honest you don’t stay in your room to watch TV. On the first night the bar was closed which was strange for a bank holiday but after that it was open and found the staff really friendly. Ideal location as not far from shops, are and tube stations. If you arrive early you can leave your luggage and it’s £5 for two suitcases which I didn’t mind paying. WiFi is a no show and bathroom is very small. Take your own towels as the main towels are more like small hand towels. Overall, you get what you pay for so I wasn’t expecting much so better than some of the reviews on here. Would I stay again? If I got it that cheap then yes I would

Stayed with my friend for 3 nights last week whilst in London. When we arrived, the staff was nice. We checked in easy enough. When we got up to the room we seen that there was mould in the bathroom. We decided to ring reception and ask them if there was something that could be done. When we arrived at reception, the staff member asked to see photos of the mould and apologised and put us in a different room. The new room the room was bigger, but unfortunately there was mould in this bathroom also. We went to the shop and bought mould killer and decided to clean the room ourselves for us to have some peace of mind. We decided to leave the vent on over night and left our spare key card in the electric switch on the wall because we wanted to make sure it was well ventilated to have showers when we came back.

When we came back, the spare key card was gone. We left the sign on the handle for the room to be cleaned so we assume that the cleaner took it. However, this I assume would explain why the bathrooms have mould in them. Although after we bought the mould killer the bathroom was fine - no more mould and it took 5 minutes. And the wifi did not work properly for the duration of our stay.

On our second night, myself and my friend had showers and turned on the TV to relax after our day and were chatting and laughing. Granted it was 23.00pm, but security knocked on our door because we were being too loud and said that the TV was too high. The walls are paper thin regardless. We could hear another room playing Sky News at 7am for the duration of our stay. We weren't playing loud music and the TV was not loud at all because we were getting ready for bed. There was only 2 of us, so that definitely tainted our stay because we were scared to watch TV the rest of the trip in case we were being too loud.

The bed was comfy on a positive note and the location is brilliant with loads of transport around.

Would I recommend this hotel? Probably not unless it is a last resort and you haven't got another option. Obviously the price is more budget than luxury and to be fair we didn't spend much time in the room. But at the end of the day we shouldn't have had to clean both hotel rooms.

Booked a twin room and a double room with shower, was given a twin room with two steps from the bed to the bathroom and the double bedroom had a bath. There is disable access from the street to the reception desk. Based on my experience, would not recommend this hotel for disabled/wheelchair users.

Standard Room was spacious enough, cleaned every day, electric room heater provided at no extra charge, refrigerator is small and requires planning but works well, WiFi strong, some other reviewers complained about size of the room, we don't understand how much more space they need, it was plenty of space both around the bed and in the rest of the room. Some also complained about only one chair in the room, one as it is for vanity mirror not for in room dining! Who wants in room dining space please choose much more expensive hotel with kitchenette! The shower was spacious with both hand held shower and ceiling shower-head, water was hot, pressure on the shower excellent, hot water pressure weak on the sink but usable...TV set is fairly small, but we didn't come to London to watch TV in hotel room. Regarding the clothing cupboard it is open type with just a few hangers and truly too small for two, so as other reviewers noted we lived out of our suitcases. Who wants bigger cupboard should choose another much more expensive hotel, this was NOT a problem for us taking in account advantages like: hotel is in quiet street but nicely situated very close to two tube lines with 2 nice supermarkets on them and only 4 stops from Oxford Circus, just across the Hyde park, very clean and with a fridge, pleasant environment and polite staff, so before mentioned TV and cupboard are no issue for us. Three elevators, very useful after countless hours spent walking around London not every hotel has them. Some reviewers were complaining that carpet was wet, it was not, they don't understand that carpet is cold - UK is wet and cold country, especially in winter and dampishness is way of living. Room is fresh and free of smell every day of our 11 day stay, soap and toilet paper replenished regularly. Reception desk staff very kind, ask for Waleed! Room-made on 7th floor deserves pay rise!! We will come back!

Dear PavleKodak, Thank you for your very positive feedback and for the time taken to share such a wonderful review. I am confident that our future guests will find your comments very helpful. we are thrilled you had a fantastic stay at Central Park Hotel and managed to experience the real Central Park Hotel experience. It will be outstanding to share your comments about the outstanding level of service you received to colleagues across the hotel. I do understand your feedback regarding the TV and the cupboard- based on our layouts in the room we only do have a larger one in our Superior room as we have larger space in this category of rooms. However, we are happy to take your comments onboard and to be taken into consideration for our refurbishment plan. We were pleased that this didn't impact too greatly on the enjoyment of your stay and hope we will have an opportunity to welcome you back again very soon. Thank you once again for sharing your experience and we wish you a lovely Christmas season. Warm Regards, Malak Guest Relations

Had the worst experience of our life at this hotel, starting from filthy rooms with bedsheets stained with blood and other bodily fluids and unbreathable air due to the high room temperature. The manager knows nothing about hospitality and customer service, he is unbelievably rude and very aggressive and does not even have an intention of offering any help to guests. Both him and the security guards operate like a gang, trying to intimidate guests with threats for asking for the basic standards of living in the rooms that they are paying for.

Even though we could not stay in the rooms that we paid in advance for, not only that we did not receive any sort of refund, but the payment has been taken twice from our account. No complaints policy and no attempts of solving the issues whatsoever! We wasted 3 hours trying to make them understand that the conditions of their rooms were improper. This experience was traumatising for our children as well, and it ruined the purpose of the trip

Hi Charlotte. I am sorry, I don’t know. I would like to use the opportunity to recommend you to stay in another hotel. Central Park was not the best hotel, the room we had was not very nice and clean. The breakfast was disappointing. If you decide to stay at Central Park and get a room that’s not clean, contact the reception and get a new room. Remember, you are the customer:-) Enjoy London, it’s my favourite city and you will have a great time. Make the most of it. Best regards Tove
