Stayed over New Years for several days. It's an old 40/50s style motel, on the bay side of the island, with a bar/grill and access to the bay side beach. There is easy walking access to restaurants, bars, shopping, and cross the street to the gulf beach. My room was old, but clean, and a little tight. The king size bed was average, had to step up into the bathroom, and the bathroom door was small, I'm guessing like they built 'em in the 50s :) Not much storage space at all and be sure to bring your own hangers. My room had a small fridge and microwave. The door to my room was hidden, which was kind of nice because no one was walking by my room all day or night, but it was also unsettling because no one could see the door when I was away. The room attached to another, with doors between of course. No one was in that room as far as I could tell until NYE, when it became apparent that the walls are very thin. This is not a complaint, and I didn't mind the partying, as it was NYE, but be aware the walls are thin. I would definitely stay again and the price was very good. Best of the motel is the bar/grill, the price, and the location. Worst is the old room, furnishings, mediocre mattress, and thin walls. The good definitely outweighed the bad and I stayed for four nights at less than half what I could have stayed for two nights across the streets.

We thought it would be fun to bring our dogs to the beach and needed a pet friendly place to stay. We booked 5 nights at the Surf and Sand (not so pet friendly) which was an absolute horrible experience and didn’t want to leave Pensacola feeling robbed of our vacation. We stayed for 3 additional nights at the Paradise Inn and it was a wonderful experience!! Family owned and so the staff is friendly, nice and helpful. Newly renovated rooms, and our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom has a stall shower and is decent size. Our room had a back door to a dog run for potty breaks. So nice not to have to walk the dogs a half a block to take the dogs to go potty.
The pier and bay are beautiful and the sunsets are spectacular. Paradise Bar & Grill are on the premises so no need to leave. Typically they have live music (No music due to covid - open until 10 pm) on the weekends and have great food and drinks on the beach!! Many different lounging nooks overlooking the ocean with picnic tables or lounge chairs with umbrellas, so it was easy to keep social distancing. They have their own dog beach and the dogs are allowed to swim in the bay. There is also a larger dog beach 5 mins by car from the Inn that is on the ocean side if you want to catch some waves. It’s a lovely and clean beach with easy access and free parking.
There is a small pool on the premises. The kids enjoyed being able to swim in the pool. We mostly stayed on the beach. We would definitely stay again. If you are bringing your pet this is the only nice place to stay on Pensacola Beach. Enjoy!!

I’m a budget traveler, so I didn’t expect anything fancy. It’s right on the bay, outdoor restaurant on the bay was really good. The sunsets from the pier were to die for! We went out there every night to watch those sunsets.
They put us in a corner room with one window that had a tree in front of it, so we couldn’t look outside or get any natural light. The room was pretty small and dark (a window with natural light would have helped.) we had 3 adults and 1 child, and it was pretty tight. The bathroom was very small, hard to change clothes in there as there was no room to move, and the stomper for bathtub didn’t work. There wasn’t one of those luggage things to sit suitcase on so I put it in bottom of closet, but it was so dark I had to use my flashlight to get clothes out. Only a small dresser with a few drawers. The night before we left a guy that works there was by the pool and another patron asked what time the pool closed, he said 10:00, but I’ll leave it open till 11:30 for you. We were getting up at 5:00 am the next morning to leave for home and we finally had to call the office at 11:30 because we listened to people screaming in the pool from 10-11:30. We had a light go out in the bathroom and I went to the office, he came right away to fix it. The AC unit is so loud, you have to talk loudly for anyone to hear you, and sleeping was difficult. It’s about a 5-10 min walk to the beach (10 min carrying all of your beach gear) you have to cross a 4 lane road, and a long sidewalk to get to the beach. There is a gas station and Native Cafe within walking distance. Not a bad place for cheap travel, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Reservation made, called to make a change.. I guess that’s the mistake.. changed from Friday and Saturday to Saturday only.. received a new confirmation of change which I showed when I arrived to the entire reservation cancelled. Finally we agreed upon a double “queen” on the first floor.. not the room type I was looking for, but the best they had since they cancelled and rebooked the suite I reserved. To be fair, I was given a discount and several apologies..
The room definitely left much to be desired. It was clean, had a small hotel frig and microwave and clean linens. I had fond memories of this place as a young adult but although it is likely the same, it was almost comical that this room rented for nearly $200 per night.. the bar and grill was closed, the road noise was loud as were the people in the parking lot until 230 or so.
Schitts creek “boutique” motel it is NOT!!

I stayed at this motel because I was able to bring my dogs with me. This quickly turned into "I didn't feel welcome with my dogs" kind of stay. I went to go out to the water's edge and immediately got "told" my dogs were not welcome in the space but I could take them to the space on the other side of the fence. When I looked at the one picnic table that was there I would not send someone I didn't like to sit there. The table is falling apart, it has a bunch of debris on it so I had no place to spend time with my little dogs on the water's edge. The NO DOGS ON THE BEACH needs to be disclosed when you are taking reservations from people who travel with their dogs. My dogs are my children and I do like spending time with them which is why we travel by car. I know I will not be back to your motel, I felt very unwelcomed. I didn't want to leave my dogs alone too long so when I wasn't walking them or grabbing a bite to eat, I was in my room with them instead of enjoying being outside with my little dogs. Not what I envisioned for my time on the beach.

I understand that they were affected by Hurricane Sally but don't take reservations from people who travel with their dogs and not have a space for their dogs - this is VERY unwelcoming. I won't be back.

I booked Thurs-Sunday of the same week on a Tuesday evening. I received a confirmation that the room was reserved. A confirmation!! My family and I wake up on Wednesday and decide to head out after work at 3. We pack up and hit the road. Around 6 that evening, we stop for dinner. I decide to check my email. There is an email from Paradise. I open it and find an email that states my reservation is cancelled because they are completely booked. This email is sent approx 10 hours after my reservation. The most annoying part is that no one from the hotel reached out to me to inform me of this. I’m not glued to my personal email. With working that day and then packing, that was the least of my concern. The only upside is that I caught this before making the journey all the way there. I saved my family an unnecessary 12 hour round trip! But we wasted $60 in gas and $150 for a hotel for Wednesday night. I wish we could have booked elsewhere but kinda hard when traveling with a pet as well.

Thanks Paradise Inn! We sure didn’t find our Paradise. Instead we found an 6 hour round trip journey back home and out $210! I have a very sour taste in my mouth to say the least!

The good news...I can save you the headache. You want to book a room? Call them. When booking online, it seems to be a known system issue.

The small vintage motel with its “good vibes only” charm is the best place to stay if you need to relax. It’s one of the few mom and pop style places left. It thrives from the handful of loyal employees that work hard to maintain that vibe we keep going back for. If you want to be in a clean place steps away from splashing in the bay or a short, easy walk to the gulf; this is it. You can relax and let your kids be kids here. If you want big lobbies, fancy decor the kids might break and elevator rides, get a condo.
Chances are you’ll return here again and again.

Dusty & Dirty! The beds were dirty, crumbs on the bed spread & dirty sheets. The room had a window ac unit there was so much dust on it. The ac sounded like a diesel truck engine. There were cob webs everywhere. A spider jump out when I moved the blanket back. I cleaned the room. Bathroom grossed me out. The staff were unfriendly. No compensation for the dirty rooms. Pool area was dirty. Oh Then they said they would give us a late check they didn’t. They locked us out of room. I won’t be back.

This place is right along the beach and there is a bar (with food) steps away. The room doors face outside, but your vehicle is right outside. We saw local authorities make a drive thru to check premise. Within walking distance, there are many restaurants and shops. The RV park is close as well.

Another wonderful trip to Paradise! Even in the rain... Rooms are freshly painted. Still lots of construction going on from "Sally" but still a great time! The pool was closed but that's ok I rarely ever go into the pool anyway. The gulf was gorgeous! Fun in the Sun! Meant some great people there. Food Music Dancing Spirits all GOOD!
Can't wait for my next visit!
