You can shop till you drop, have convenient stores and other shops literally at your doorstep, making it a perfect base from where to explore Barcelona. Check out one of my favourite streets around the corner, Calle Enrique Granados. It is a pedestrian street, with loads of greenery and coffee shops, eateries, art galleries and nice shops. Come and stay at this uniquely decorated apartment with old original Barcelonian touches.
The metro station Universidad is less than 5 minutes walking. Plaza Cataluña (at the top of the famous Las Ramblas) would be less than 10 minutes walking.
So apart from having a very central locations, there is also transportation nearby to get you around the city. For example to get on to the yellow line that goes along the coast to a variety of beaches, you would only need 2 stops.

Beautifully furnished large apartment for this area. Beds all comfortable with fresh linen. Bonus two small balconies and good kitchen / dining. Air cons in bedrooms awesome. Fabulous location with restaurants, bars, pharmacy and supermarket 3 minutes walk. Station 5 minutes and bus. Can be noisy at night with street activities and suggest closing shutters and widows.

Perfect location and excellent layout
Stayed here with a couple friends for 4 nights. This location is close/walking distance to most attractions and a cheap taxi ride for everywhere else. ~35 Euro ride from BCN airport. There are many supermarkets, restaurants and bars within a short walking distance.
The place itself was great, with a large kitchen and dining area by European standards with plenty of plates/cups/etc available. The two main bedrooms are great for adults/couples and the back two bedrooms are either great for kids or singles. The two bathrooms are decent size by European standards, especially the main one. Just about every room has its own AC unit, which was also a plus. Probably the only complaint I'd have is the TV channel options. Not being able to watch a Barcelona home game to Atl Madrid on TV was disappointing. But that's pretty minor.
Check in/out process was easy and the hosts communication and reliability was excellent. I highly recommend this place for groups of 3 to 6 people looking to explore Barcelona.

Great location, clean and spacious place
Great to have stayed in Barcelona at this place.
Clean room and nice bed. Located in the centre and easy to bike to the beach.
Good wifi and great location.
I was very happy and will come back .

Great stylish apartment in the middle of the city
I really like to spend some days in this amazing apartment in the middle of Barcelona. I could really live the vibe of the city and I could basically walk everywhere. Michael has been an excellent host!

Excelente
Muy satisfecha con el departamento, muy amplio y en una muy buena locacion, podiamos caminar a los puntos importantes, a un lado del departamento esta una panaderia y bastantes restaurantes a corta distance, los anfitriones fueron muy amables. Con mucho gusto regresaría a el mismo lugar, lo califico con un 10 plus.

Zentral gelegen, jedoch viel Straßenlärm
Wir waren mit 6 Frauen unterwegs und konnten von dem Appartement aus die besten Sehenswürdigkeiten bestens erreichen. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, großzügig und die zwei Bäder gut eingerichtet, die Betten bequem. Alles top top in Ordnung. Da die Schlafzimmer alle zur Straße hin, an einer Kreuzung gelegen sind und recht viel Straßenverkehr herrscht ist, es bis spät in den Abend und auch morgens recht laut. Eine Bäckerei und Supermarkt befindet direkt zwei Häuser weiter. Wenn jemand nicht allzu lärmempfindlich ist, würde ich die Wohnung weiter empfehlen.

A perfect place, great location & very well looked after.
Mich, Nadia and Taras were a great team from early emails recommending shopping and places to eat and drink to our introduction to the apartment and checking on us during our stay too. Super large rooms and a great kitchen/reception room where we could all relax. Being able to pop downstairs for crousants and patries was excellent. My partially sighted 88 yr old mother loved the place, and was grateful for the lift! Was so easy to get the the bus or Metro or taxis and all the main sights were within 5-10 minutes. You won't be dissapointed at all.

Fantastic city break
Had a fantastic 5 days in Barcelona. Apartment was perfect- we were a party of seven- a family of 6 with 4 grown up children aged 15 to 21 plus an additional adult family member. So easy to transfer to the apartment from the airport, very central apartment where it was easy to walk, metro or take the bus to any of our destinations. Apartment was beautiful,stylish and clean and spacious for the number of people.There are adjoining rooms but privacy was not compromised at all. Facilities in the apartment were great and there were local shops literally across to pick up the essentials. Barcelona is fantastic with something for everyone:churches, shops, art, football, food, beaches and such a friendly place.
We will be back!

Nice appartment, excellent location
We liked the appartment - spacious and comfortable and few minutes away from Plaza Universitad.
Supermarkets, bakery and a few really nice restaurants very close.
The managers were friendly and were able to accomodate our early checkin and provided lots of useful tips for our stay in barcelona.

The eixample area is the safest central area in Barcelona.
When you walk out of the building of this apartment you literally have shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets at your doorstep.
Right around the corner you will find the lovely Enrique Grenados street with beautiful galleries, restaurants and shops. It is a lovely pedestrian street with benches and loads of trees which is quite rare in the middle of the city.
You are just 5 minutes away from Plaza Universitat, Plaza Catalanya and the famous upper class shopping street, Passeig de Gracia.
Getting around
The metro station Universidad is less than 5 minutes walking. Plaza Cataluña (at the top of the famous Las Ramblas) would be less than 10 minutes walking.
