Best of the Best Hotels

Top - Canada

When you think of a hotel that checks all the boxes (outstanding service, comfy rooms, the works) it’s probably one of these winning spots.

The Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel. It’s awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone.

Wedgewood Hotel & Spa is an eco-friendly property in a central downtown location, showcasing warm elegance and old-world charm. It's near beach access, offers bicycle tours, and has a fitness centre. The luxury accommodations include well-appointed rooms with king-sized beds, giant soaker baths, and balconies with views. Dining options feature scrumptious food, and the attentive, friendly staff provide exceptional, personalised service, including professional valet parking. The beautiful and charming design creates an upscale atmosphere with attention to detail, making your stay special, memorable, and safe with cleanliness measures like hand sanitiser, masks, and gloves.

  • This past weekend, I brought my mother to the Wedgewood Hotel & Spa to celebrate her 50th birthday and to see the Rolling Stones. From the moment our Uber landed, the kind staff made us feel like royalty! Our room welcomed us with chocolate-dipped strawberries and a kind birthday card, and each night, our beds were turned down with water and cookies to enjoy. The concierge gentlemen were incredibly generous with their assistance, time, personability, and recommendations! I wish to extend a gigantic "thanks" to hotel management, concierge, and housekeeping for making this a trip my mom and I will NEVER forget! I will not hesitate to book my next stay in Vancouver here.

  • After one stay, this is now our go-to hotel in Vancouver. It has so many things going for it: --Location: It's around the corner from Robson Street shopping and just down the street from the Vancouver Art Gallery, one of our favorite spots. --Staff: This is what separates a great hotel from merely good ones. Each member of the staff seemed genuinely happy to see us, from the valets to the front desk, from housekeeping to the bar staff. The valet service is particularly good, efficiently arranging for taxis, loading and unloading and offering directions. The front desk staff welcomed us like old friends, even though it was our first visit. Housekeeping service was discreet and efficient. The bar staff were both warm and efficient. --Room: Our room was quiet and well-equipped with a comfortable bed and a well-designed bathroom. Importantly, there were plenty of outlets for the many devices we all seem to require to live. --Atmosphere: This is a bit subjective, but the Wedgewood has that hard-to-define quality of "class." That's not to say it was snooty--far from it. It has the feel of a place that's confident in its quality and takes pride in delivering that quality. Maybe that's because it's a relatively small property. At any rate, there was a warmth that's missing in some other Vancouver hotels in this price range. We can't wait to return.

  • My wife and I always stay at Wedgewood whenever we travel to Vancouver! The staff is super friendly: big shout-out to Ryan at the front desk for always making our stays awesome! The beds are so comfy we're considering getting the same for ourselves. Out of all of the hotels we've stayed at together, this is our favorite!

  • A really fantastic hotel in a well located part of the city of Vancouver. The welcome and service is excellent and exactly why this hotel is 5*’s. Nothing was too much trouble and the rooms, restaurants and feel of the hotel are all perfect. The hotel has a fantastic restaurant, which is a must visit experience. If you only stay in one place in Vancouver, make sure it is the Wedgewood.
