Brace yourselves!- Shouted the panga captain as we departed on our journey to Little Corn Island. The breeze hitting our faces as we adventured into the horizon against the waves.
On our arrival to Little Corn, we were greeted by a joyful plethora of local characters who gently gave us direction through the greenery.
Our arrival at LCIBB was early, way before the check in time. Regardless, we were kindly greeted by Miss Seydi, the restaurant manager, who diligently described the broad assortment of wonders the hotel offered. We were delighted and flabbergasted by the clarity and level of detail in her words.
Promptly after Miss Seydi, came Miss Shira, a member of the hosting staff. Who’s guidance and adviced enabled us to enjoy our room at it’s fullest. The way to work the hot shower was the most memorable.
Every room comes with a “knowledge base”, a collection of wall mounted notes that describe how to make use of the equipment, whenever we lose the battle to distraction.
After such a journey, one is bound to build an appetite. Enter Miss Neysi, a member of the waiting staff. Whose service and hospitality is something that we will always keep with us. Although we were not able to meet the kitchen staff(Miss Carmela, Miss Gladys and Miss Raquel), we could still communicate through their succulent gastronomy. Finding such plating, presentation and flavor happens very rarely in the routine.
Miss Angelina, a member of the cleaning staff worked silently and diligently in the background, always leaving behind a sparkling and spotless effort in our room.
Whenever I had a restless mind at night or wanted to find out more about the history of the hotel, I was always able converse with Mr. Emilio, the security guard at the hotel. I happened to find myself in the need of a light, and ended up losing myself in dialogue under a sea of stars. Next to the actual.
This hotel is nothing less than a paradise, hidden within palm trees and sea breeze. If you are looking for break out of the rat race, take a breath and feel like Robinson; stranded in a quiet heaven; look no further.
We like to think that hard work and intellect are the core components of a good business. But I like to believe that great ideas and passion are what actually make things happen, and that the little details come from the heart.
Compliments to the Chef
