I was finally able to book this resort through RCI after three years trying to get a unit! We stayed in an adorable, clean, dual-townhome-cabin, which was filled with everything we needed, and the size was perfect for the two of us. Most importantly, the beds were super-comfy, the carpet was soft and fluffy, and the resort was so quiet, even when we opened the windows at night. We loved having the outdoor space (out back) to watch birds and breathe in the fresh mountain air, and the upstairs deck was a nice touch, as we opened the door at night to enjoy the cool breezes. The resort was in the perfect location for a RMNP trip - it was within walking distance to the RMNP entrance (we drove to it, but you could walk to it)! And, several restaurants and stores, including the Country Market, where we did our food shopping, were just minutes away from the resort - no need to go into the busier downtown Estes Park area. The glorious Rockies surrounded the resort, plus elk walked freely about the property - every day was beautiful! The front desk staff were super-friendly and so helpful, providing us with local food suggestions, plus RMNP hiking info (one area we thought about exploring got 37 inches of snow a few days before we arrived!). The staff also gave us some items we needed immediately upon request during our week-long stay. We loved every minute of this trip! It was a very relaxing vacation with great weather almost every day (blue skies in the 60s, but one day it snowed - light for a few hours), plus the local area and the roads to and in RMNP were not busy, as we went at a great time of year - the week before Memorial Day. I would definitely recommend staying at Rams Horn any time of year, though!
