No signs posted that visitors not allowed to go into hotel and look at Christmas lights but forced to pay for parking. Way to go Opryland!! We have had so many wonderful memories of going there.
Unfortunately greed has turned it into a money making pit!

We welcome visitors, but unfortunately, we have had to make a few adjustments during 2020 to provide our guests with the safest experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are three signs on the highway before you exit for the hotel and there are multiple signs along the drive way leading into the property that clearly say, "Restricted Access to Hotel -- Valid only for Overnight Guests, TIcket Holders, Reservation." I'm sorry that you did not see them.

We were checking out on a very busy Sunday and my family had already left and I was staying behind to do some holiday shopping. So I called down for a bellhop and When he arrived he loaded up all of my things, but also took the time to make sure that I had not left anything behind. Well, my oldest son had left his jacket hanging on the back of a chair and my youngest had left his charger and I had left some bathroom toiletries🤦‍♀️ Anyways, he went above and beyond from the time that he knocked on my door and then walked me down to wait for my car. His kindness and patience made my dreadful day that I had ahead of me so much nicer. Our whole experience from the beginning to the end of our stay was exceptional.
Spend the entire day here there is so much to do with the Adrian’s are absolutely incredible boat rides and wonderful restaurants as well as music.
We eat at RevelĂł restaurant Which is pretty good.
The Christmas decorations outstanding memories I made here
I took my grand daughters here to see the Christmas decorations and they were not disappointed. Everything was decorated just beautifully. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready, so I upgraded to a parlor suite. Oh my!!!! It was amazing!!! We had 2 bathrooms, a wet bar, living room, kitchen table and plenty of room with an awesome view of the Cascades. Abby at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the accompanying furniture was very nice. We weren't interested in the Christmas bundle, but my grand kids did want to ice skate. I purchased tickets on the app and it was very easy getting to the skating rink. My grand kids had an awesome time and we made wonderful memories. I definitely want to bring them back every year.
My partner and I visited Opryland for 3 days to attend the Christmas events they had. Our stay started with being assigned a room that didn’t not include a single request such as a king bed and a view. I got over that and was just happy to be there. However once we got to our room there was a big yellow puddle in the middle of our room. We were then transferred to a different, again, did not have any of my room requests. Oh well. Everything was going great till the second night when my partner, which happens to be a dark skinned man, is walking around the hotel. He is stopped by security and asked to show his room key. He shows both his room key and driver License. He was let go. Then he was stopped THREE MORE TIMES. And this time the security guard did not believe he was staying there even after he showed room key and even used it to unlock a door,to show it was valid, he even offered to take officer up the room to prove he was staying here.
ONE AND A HALF HOURS LATER, after keeping my partner in place and not letting him come back to his room, I, a white woman was able to talk to security and prove we were staying there. They didn’t hesitate to let him go then..
All and all in was a terrible experience and we will not be back. My partner was racially profiled and there is absolutely no reason a man should be kept from going to his hotel room when he has a working room key and is documented as a guest. I thought Opryland was better than that but I guess not.
