Another wonderful wedding weekend experience at the Nonantum in Kennebunkport! Superb service & beautiful surroundings coinciding with July 4th festivities, making for a really fun time! We particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet which is included in the stay package! Not just your standard fare but also changed up daily to include some different & delicious offerings like a Jamaican porridge which we loved! Well done!

My wife and I just spent 3 wonderful days at the Nonantum. Our room was as described and at the level one would expect from a Resort as impeccable as the Nonantum. The staff we interacted with was also very professional and courteous...and even managed to track down the always easy to forget phone charger I, once again, managed to leave behind (many thanks Angela to you and your staff). The Resort is well-situated between downtown Kennebunkport and the outer edges of Ocean Avenue giving ready access to both shops and restaurants as well as the ocean, beach and breakwaters. There is also a windjammer, the Pineapple Ketch, that docks right behind the Resort and is well worth reserving a spot on if you enjoy being out on the ocean a bit...just be sure to urge the captain to lift the main sail so you get the full sailing experience. We also took advantage of being close to the Ogunquit Playhouse, a terrific summer stock theater, as well as the Vinegar Hill Music Theater (a wonderful converted barn turned intimate concert venue) to enjoy a couple of evenings out. There are also plenty of things to do/visit during the daytime throughout the area. But, I'd also be remiss if I didn't also mention that daily breakfasts at the Nonantum that go well above & beyond any found at virtually any other general hotel...they were always a highly nutritious (and filling) way to start every day we were guests at the Resort. Thank you again Jeanie and staff for a positively notable stay.

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience at the Nonantum! We are thrilled to hear that you and your wife had such an enjoyable stay. It sounds like you took full advantage of everything the resort and the surrounding area have to offer.
I'm glad to hear that our staff, (particularly our Assistant General Manager Angela), could assist you with the phone charger. We take great pride in providing exceptional service to our guests, and it's always heartening to know we've succeeded.
The musical options in our little town are really quite amazing and it is terrific to learn that you got to experience two of them.
We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
All The Best,
Jean

Our family stayed at the Nonantum while in Kennebunkport and we loved every minute of it. The rooms were quaint and comfortable, historic without feeling old and stuffy. The yard along the water was our four boys dream come true after being dragged along for so much sightseeing. They played basketball, whiffle ball, football, and corn hole with dozens of other guests children, in our full view, while my wife and I enjoyed the live music, a quiet dinner on the patio and the sunset over the little harbor behind the resort.

The location is perfect and the staff was wonderful. It all starts with the Inn Keeper, Jean, and her staff who truly care about their guests. We had the opportunity to meet Jean the day we checked out and thank her for a more than pleasant stay. The Nonantum, is truly a “blessing” on a long trip throughout New England.

Hello!
It was delightful to meet you and your beautiful family and hear all about your very ambitious traveling plans! I absolutely loved watching your boys race around our back yard with a pack of kids from here there and everywhere having the time of their lives. (and I particularly enjoy watching parents have a moment to relax in our beautiful yard in an Adirondack chair with their choice of beverage in hand - everything from cold brew, to mocktails to cocktails - truly something for everyone!)
Thank you so much for your very kind words! While it sounds like you have lots of places in mind to visit before your children fly the coop, we hope maybe one day you will make it back here. Perhaps one of your gang would like to attend college in Maine?
All The Best,
Jean

We travel from Virginia to our Moosehead Lake log cabin three times each summer, and Nonantum is always our first stop in Maine on Trip 1. It is such a haven and we always stay in a Portside room, with the beautiful water and grounds views. The staff knows what it is doing--so professional, yet personable and helpful. The breakfast is creative, fresh and delicious. I always hate to leave Kennebunkport, and the Nonantum is a great part of that feeling.

Room tip: Not really. Just enjoy all that Nonantum offers.

Hi Linda:
We love that we are your first stop in Maine! So happy to be your welcome back location!
Our grounds are looking especially gorgeous this year! We had some extensive work done this spring and it just looks amazing.
Our staff has an unassuming grace yet is always right there taking care of things before you even realize they need to be done!
Maybe next year you can spend some extra time in Kennebunkport. There is so much to see and do. And of course your Nonantum Family will be right here at the ready, turning welcome in to welcome back!
Kind Regards,
Jean

Nonantum is a full service resort with a long history (140 years) serving guests. Rooms in the Portside Lodge are more modern than the main inn, with efficient heat pump heating and cooling in each room. We found the first floor accessible room comfortable and relatively quiet. Service is efficient and gardens are immaculately maintained. Full breakfast in the main dining room is wonderful. If you can secure a special offer or discount price on a room, don't hesitate to take advantage of it.

Hi Craig:
Thank you for for writing! Your review captures the essence of Nonantum Resort beautifully!
With our 140-year legacy, the two buildings, Portside and the Carriage House Inn offer a variety of room types. All combine modern comforts with historical charm. In keeping with our commitment to sustainability, each of our rooms are equipped with efficient heat pump systems
It's great to hear that the first-floor accessible rooms are both comfortable and quiet. The terrific service and meticulously maintained gardens add to the resort's appeal and many of our guests enjoy the opportunity to chat with our talented gardening team to get a few tips for their home gardens.
If you come across a special offer or discount, don't hesitate to book—it’s a fantastic opportunity! We work a lot like the airlines in that if we have rooms available at the last minute, sometimes you can catch some really awesome deals!
All The Best,
Jean

Fabulous stay the Nonantum. Perfectly situated near the town and the beach with lovely grounds and a great pool. The staff were all helpful and the breakfast was great. Would love to return. The shuttle into town was a great bonus but really you catwalk anywhere that you need to go.

Hi Katy:
I am so happy to hear that you had a wonderful experience at the Nonantum!
Our convenient location, beautiful grounds, great pool, helpful staff, and enjoyable breakfast all add up to a fabulous stay.
The shuttle service into town is a fan favorite. Our drivers have lots of ideas that make it easy to explore the area. Downtown is just 7/10ths of a mile so many of our guests park their car when they arrive and never move them until it is time to go home!
Please come and see us again! Thanks for writing!
Jean
