Would not go back or suggest to others to stay here. Location is great so long as you know exactly where it is. Signange is poor. I did not get the room I reserved, which reminded me of the Seinfeld episode about reservations. The bathroom was extremely plain, low water pressure. The front desk folks may be new hires as they seemed to struggle with every phase of checking someone in or out. For the price, it simply isn't a hotel that warrants the rates. Too bad, I always liked the HI brand, but after two stays now in them in less than a month, I'm done with HI.

No hot water and still let us check in

No hot water for 24 hours and the front desk said it has been out for several days . Why would you let us check in ?

I am truly sorry that you did not experience an exemplary hotel stay because of the level of service you have received. On behalf of our hotel, I apologize that our hotel did not have hot water for 24 hours and for the customer service. This is not what we want any of our guests to experience. Cold Shower, Lousy Service

Second night we had no hot water! Forced to take a cold shower. Front desk would not answer the phone. Later when they finally did answer we were told they were working on it. Requested coffee pods and they gave us decaf. Front desk help way too laid back. Just don’t seem to care. Way more expensive than rooms or experience can justify (150/night). Won’t be returning.

Couldn’t ask For more!!

Clean! Great customer service at the front desk. I believe the woman’s name was Kelly. She was very happy, polite, and helpful, She answered all of our questions, There is a restaurant/ bar attached. Burgers are delicious! We’ll be traveling to Durango for business throughout the coming months and will stay at this Holiday Inn.

Room tip: Parking is $10.00 a night.

Disappointing

It was Christmas time, so the hotel was full. Nonetheless, only one elevator worked. This is a recurring problem for us with Holiday Inns; they must select the "whenever" option on the elevator maintenance contract to save money. Despite the presence of several other employees, only one was assigned to check in guests. She was excellent: cheerful and quick, and deserves a bonus, but some of the others lounging around might have pitched in and manned the other check in computers to help her out. Then the hot water failed two of the three mornings we were there, and the showers were ice cold. Come on, pay your utility bill or design the mechanical systems to accommodate the number of guests. Other upscale chains manage to do it. Based upon this experience, and two remarkably similar ones in Oregon last year, we'll avoid Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express in the future.
