Review of Mojave Resort
Reviewed Mar 16, 2022via mobile
Just wrapped a gathering and we all descended on The Mojave Resort. The place was great for our birthday extravaganza of 25 women. The staff was accommodating and friendly, the grounds/rooms were neat and tidy, I feel as if the pool was a saltwater combo (so nice not to smell of chlorine) BONUS!
The only minor grody thing for me was the old carpet in the bathroom and long black hairs in the carpet that weren’t mine. Otherwise, everything was clean. I heard the Mojave will be updating soon, so looking forward to staying again next year. Great location. Walking to shops and El Paseo business center.

What an unexpected treat to stay at the Mojave Resort. The location is in walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Rooms are so cute with a 40’s/50’s cabin vibe and the grounds are immaculate and lush with a refreshing salt water pool.

There are new owners and will be shutting down over summer to fix and remodel. We were ensured that the design/vibe will be the same- but the gate around the pool is getting removed- thank goodness!

Friendly folks. Staff members Mash, Anthony and Diana are devoted to their work and are truly one of a kind. Service is top notch. Kids and adults love the pool. El Paseo is steps away. Fresh air and no elevators.

Handicap accessible, quiet and feels like home. This is the ONLY place to stay if you are in Palm Desert. Big box hotels don’t even come close to the cleanliness, service or hospitality offered @Mojave.

Planning a trip to the Coachella Valley? Make it Mojave!

Based on their write up, I was expecting a neat stay at a luxurious retro motel. Still felt that way cutting through a well kept courtyard with a pool and mature fauna. That ends when you walk in the room. Dirty carpeting, shabby furniture which needs refinishing, only 1 robe, shabby drapes. The wall ac unit is appropriately retro, but at least put in temp control units so they don’t have to run all night. The continental breakfast.. packaged sweet roll, cheap bagels, 2 cereals served in a room where the carpet seems to have been used in an auto repair shop. This place could yearly be cool if the owners put some money into it. Take a pass

After our original place didn't work out we wandered around look (its a residential area) for a place. Outside is less than exciting but it is well maintained so we tried. Mash was at the desk with a warm, friendly greeting and found us a room. The interior grounds are lovely, well lit. We had a small room but as much as we needed, good closet with robes, nice flat screen TV, desk/chair, 1 soft seat chair and table. King bed and night stands. Nothing fancy but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. A through the wall new A/C . Bathroom small with tub/shower , containers of self-serve toiletries. We were just off the pool but it was very quiet; outside our door a small seating area with 2 chairs and a table. Overall cute with a 40's feel. Light breakfast served in the moring- has good coffee!. We have already made plans to return on our next visit to PAlm Desert. Located very close to El Paseo and all the shops. Check-out as easy and nice as our check-in.

If you love old school, retro "Rat Pack" vibe, this is your place. For that matter, even if you don't like retro, this could still be your place for several reasons. Spotlessly clean, gorgeous pool and grounds, intimate front patio seating, stellar staff, attention to details(robes provided, wine glasses, poolside swim towels, etc.), close proximity to El Paseo restaurants and shops. We felf very secure behind a keyed security gate to prevent radom access from non guests. Additionally, Mojave Resort has a wonderful price point, particularly if you can book before the snowbirds arrive. We came for a girlfriend birthday get away and were blown away by this place. Our room, #18, was very spacious with a full kitchenette, even though we didn't need one. Only reason for less than 5 stars was a noisy wall air conditioning unit. One night we just turned it off and opened a window. Shout out to Mash, who upon checkout happily split the bill so we could each charge our half to our own card. We plan to return next year and make this our annual Palm Desert get away spot.

Room tip: Only 23 rooms, one story, all with nice views. We loved room 18.
