Punta Cana Royalton Chic, their Housekeeping and ”Security Staff” … one of the two have shown themselves to be PREDATORS ON THE PROWL!!!!! We are victims of theft, our bags were riffled through and 7 bank cards were stolen! The gremlins with no regard of the harm caused, not only stole our cards, but brazenly called Bank of America in an attempt to have my password and sign in info changed because they could not access my online banking!!! The manager of PC Royalton Chic placed the blame for the theft on us because the items were not in the safe. Mind you, security has access to the safe! They were at the room next door to ours banging on the door latch when we left for dinner, 13 minutes later our cards had several attempts at charges. Royalton management response” Wait 72 hours for an investigation, we check cameras. My response, annnnnd then what, what can I expect ?????? Them, we wait, so pretty much NOT A D@MN THING!!! Avoid coming here, there is NO THRILL and Definitely not worth your Time and Money!!!! The temptation based on the conversion of our currency to theirs is why they prey on Americans!!!! Be SAFE, AVOID THIS RESORT ROYALTON CHIC PUNTA CANA, try Cancun Royalton it is the very essence of a Memorable VACATION !!!!!

Royalton Chic PUNTA Cana Management, You Lose, the Disrespect and Dismissive treatment of your guests is, to put it Mildly- Unacceptable and Juvenile!!!!

This was the worst all inclusive, all adult resort. The rooms are not properly stocked. The refrigerator was dirty. The sink was clogged. We had to request towels, water, etc., and there was no mini bar in the rooms. The phone didn't work. House keepers barely spoke English. I traveled there with a large group and was very disappointed. Check in an Check out was complicated. Rooms weren't ready. The Lobby staff wasn't pleasant at all. While trying to get our Check in completed we asked for a second welcome drink and we were denied by the only bartender on duty at the time who was very rude. The Manger at the desk stated he was leaving in a few weeks for some of the same things we complained about so he didn't care and his service showed it. There are no elevators at this resort and the buildings are 3 stories high with no air conditioning. As a matter of fact the entire resort has no working air conditioning unless you're in your room or the tiny Casino. The Lobby bar had 3 ceiling fans that stayed off during the day. According to the staff they had no control over them. Everyone pointed you in a different direction to request getting them turned on. The buffet food is over cooked, dried out, and the same menu was repeated every day. Most mornings there was no bacon or sausage available. The Steak House, Indian, and Italian restaurants were somewhat better. There is no Nightlife everything ended at 11pm at this resort. All shows started and ended before you could finish a 8pm dinner. The drinks every where were watered down. The Sports Bar / Club closed at 2am however with no air it was impossible to enjoy being inside. The Pools closed at 6pm. The Spa is hidden behind everything and is like stepping into a whole new dimension until I spotted the big Waterbug hanging out in the HydroSpa, oh did I mention they were spotted in the buffet also.😠
The beach was relaxing and enjoyable. We signed up for an excursion while we were on the beach, got excellent bar service, and I'm must say that was the best sport at this resort. I'm am pleased to say that because we were a group we made the best of it all. I can't really fault the staff because it's obvious that they are working under very poor management and conditions. This was my first and absolutely last time staying at a Royalton Chic location. I would NOT recommend this Resort.

We decided to go back to CHIC in June 2024. We had been there several times in the past (pre-Covid) .
This hotel is a tru 5 star and this is why:
Rooms: the rooms are spacious and pristine clean. We were in building 1 .
Beach: the beach is breathtaking. The sand in beautiful. The water was warm and the bottom of the ocean is clean. No seaweeds at all.
Pools: There are enough pools to accommodate everyone. You don’t feel cramped at all. There are enough chairs . The pools are vey nice
Food: the food was amazing. Hands down, it doesn’t get better than this. Seriously, we went to the Steakhouse and tried many of their options and everything was amazing. We also went to the Italian restaurant which was great . The Indian restaurant was a pleasant surprise, the food was beyond delicious. For breakfast and lunch, we really enjoyed the buffet which was filled with fresh and delicious options. The desserts and coffee at Insomnia are a must.
Entertainment: We really enjoyed the entertainment. The Team is great. They will make you dance the night away. The shows that were presented were very very nice.
General hotel amenities: this hotel is great. It’s modern, has a cool younger vibe, Everything is close: rooms, beach, pools and restaurants.
Service: This is where CHIC stands out . Honestly, the staff will go out of their way to make you happy. They are kind and courteous. Weather you at at the pool, in restaurants or anywhere else on the resort, you are well taken care of. The management team is present at all times, and they make sure that you get the best experience possible.
