The quality of service here was extremely poor all around. The buffet areas are FILLED with flies and are not temp controlled. There is absolutely no effort by the resort to cover food or reduce the pests. The culture of staff is “you get what you get”. I had a dirty fork at the buffet and asked for a new one, the staff told me “wipe it off”. Every meal was borderline gross, there was no meal that I ate there that was quality or even slightly tasty. Even with reservations at the restaurants with limited menus, we waited at least 1 hour after sitting and ordering to get food.
Housekeeping doesn’t seem to be well run where we received towels in the room that were not clean.
The flamingo area had no flamingos. There was a pervasive mosquito problem. I also was shocked at the staff’s inability to follow up on small things ( I asked for a soda at dinner at one of the restaurants and never got it)
Frankly I would have expected a less established brand to have these issues. The only place that was enjoyable was the spa.
Drinks might be the best thing about the place but it’s not enough to comeback.
