Nice resort

Over great experience. We caught up the best weather blue skies every day.
Drinks- decent but could use more alcohol and less sugary.
Clean room, the ladies are doing a great job, make sure to tip accordingly.
The only down is that due to humidity there was a slight mouldy smell. Make sure to keep the balcony door closed at all time. AC was great.
We stayed in 5173 has a nice view and close by restaurants and pools. Renovated rooms.
Pools could be cleaner.
Food is decent and various options but repetitive. Food safety higiena could improve.
We didn’t like the sea food restaurant as the food it was too greasy.
Beach is one of the best in Bavaro, the seaweed was cleaned regularly by the resort. So that’s a big plus.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Braulio was top same as Mercedes.
The resort was quiet.
Overall I recommend the resort.

The quality of service here was extremely poor all around. The buffet areas are FILLED with flies and are not temp controlled. There is absolutely no effort by the resort to cover food or reduce the pests. The culture of staff is “you get what you get”. I had a dirty fork at the buffet and asked for a new one, the staff told me “wipe it off”. Every meal was borderline gross, there was no meal that I ate there that was quality or even slightly tasty. Even with reservations at the restaurants with limited menus, we waited at least 1 hour after sitting and ordering to get food.

Housekeeping doesn’t seem to be well run where we received towels in the room that were not clean.

The flamingo area had no flamingos. There was a pervasive mosquito problem. I also was shocked at the staff’s inability to follow up on small things ( I asked for a soda at dinner at one of the restaurants and never got it)

Frankly I would have expected a less established brand to have these issues. The only place that was enjoyable was the spa.

Drinks might be the best thing about the place but it’s not enough to comeback.

Rooms are clean and updated, beautiful views, friendly staff, the beach is clean and not rocky at all. The gym is probably the nicest hotel gym I've seen. Spa is a true luxury.

However, the food was just so-so. It was very Americanized. Easy to get pizza, sandwiches, pasta, burgers, nachos. I was hoping for a more authentic feel and wanted lots of healthy/ and seafood options. They were hard to find. The floors in the buffet were incredibly slippery. I don't know how more people weren't falling. Also, multiple days at the buffet I was prompted by staff to take a survey. They watch over your shoulder and take pictures of your answers.

I found the high pressure sales of jewelry very stressful. You couldn't walk any path to a meal without being bombarded. Sellers on the beach were plentiful, but much easier to turn down.

I speak English and was by far the minority. Front desk staff spoke English well, but other than that it was very hit and miss.

The trip was affordable and we had fun, but I have been to other all-inclusives I've liked better.

Room tip: Bring some items to save a beach chair early. They start filling up between 6-7 am.

We had the best time! We were a group up of 9 Brazilian and absolutely everyone was amazing from the reception like Fatima and all the others I can’t recall the names now. Vitor, J Santana and Jiron (maybe I’m misspelling it) from the main restaurant and all the girl as well. Lima is the star from the sales (I don’t know how is the department called but it’s at the golf area).
I have no words, everything and everything is exceptional! I’ll be definitely recommending and coming back to this place!

Room tip: Bring repellent and don’t underestimate the sun!!!!

The hotel was good! Service is amazig and people are very nice, it was my first time in at resort in dominican. Animation was very good guys are happy all the time with many activies in special dark blonde he is very nice to do, pool and beach and beautiful.

Beautiful resort. I am so impressed with Iberostar resorts. Like the one in Jamaica that we stayed at last year, they have staff that are so friendly, helpful and care about how you are doing and how your vacation is going. I have yet to meet one staff member that looked unhappy or wasn't friendly. The resort itself is beautiful and the grounds are well cared for. The food is good and drinks are plenty. Iberostar's commitment to the environment is impressive and worth noting. No paper or disposable plastic anywhere to be found, with the exception of toilet paper and tissues. All vehicles and tools used on property are electric or battery operated. Very, very impressive. There is always sometime to do or not. I would highly recommend this resort or any other Iberostar resort! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. A great vacation was had by all.
