What a beautiful resort. A little scary getting to the place due to the roads, hills and pot holes, but totally worth it once you are there. Beautiful pools, great spa with hot tub, excellent breakfast, bar and menu options. The staff are kind and you get to see many animals from monkeys, iguana-things, colorful birds, and someone said a sloth is on the property but we never saw it. You won't be disappointed.

Parador Nature Resort & Spa
The Parador is most likely the best possible resort in the area. The grounds are elegant and beautifully maintained. The food is carefully prepared and the restaurants are lovely. The rooms have comfortable bedding and are kept immaculately clean. The property is full of animals including two types of monkeys, sloths, macaws, spiny lizards, agouti, etc. No mosquitos or snakes when we were there. Finally, I've never experienced such attentive, friendly, genuine service anywhere. From the managers to the groundskeepers, everyone is friendly, happy to be there and helpful. I mentioned my allergies in an email prior to our visit and all of the waitstaff new who I was and what my allergies were. Wow! Could not recommend this special place more highly.

Parador Nature Resort & Spa
Our stay at Parador resort made our trip to Costa Rica the best experience to date. Pros: The views were absolutely stunning! The staff were always available and helpful with any needs. The resort is full of wildlife which in my opinion adds to the atmosphere. Even with the wildlife, it was very clean and immaculate. The restaurants had some delicious cuisine. Free breakfast every morning. While I'm sure the resort was at full capacity, it never felt like there was too many people. You can walk through the resort and feel like you are the only one there. Beaches are close by and are beautiful! The cons (and I'm just being picky honestly.) The resort is a three hour drive from the airport. While the food at the restaurants was phenomenal, there were only three restaurants, and one of them is only open lunch hours. The pools were small. Again, I'm just being picky. None of the cons are enough to keep me from going back or recommending this resort. If you are traveling to Costa Rica, this is the place to stay.

Beautiful property. We saw macaws, parrots, spider monkeys and toucans. Loved the game room for the kids. We had been traveling for a bit, and it was just what they needed. The nature trail was cool. Breakfast was included and delicious! Everyone was very nice. Wonderful stay.

The staff at Parador Nature Resort & Spa
This was a gorgeous resort brimming with wildlife. We saw toucans, scarlet Macaws, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys and white-faced monkeys all onsite. The night walk is a most-do for frog lovers. The breakfast buffet is great and is suggest tipping the omelet lady. We had a wonderful time with our sons, who loved the pool, frog pond, game room, monkey trail and breakfast croissants. You won't want to leave.
