Eat and drink regularly at the Yorkshire. Staff are always friendly. Nanda in particular. She is great! So helpful, polite, efficient and always greets you with the most welcoming smile.
The Yorkshire are very lucky to have her !

Review of The Yorkshire Hotel

As I write a review please understand that we are senior and both have some degree of physical disability. We stayed in Soi Sansubai last year and like the area. Last year we ate 1 time and had drinks at the Yorkshire hotel. Probably the main reason we chose this hotel as opposed to where we stayed last year. On arrival the reception staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room provided was spacious but basic. Makes me rate this hotel as a budget hotel without that much of a budget price. First night there I felt the aircon was not working adequately and was making a loud noise outside with the compressor. While at breakfast, I turned it off. I have had previous experiences similar to this and it has always been an ice up in the unit. After a couple of hours we turned it back on and ice showered everywhere in the room. Problem solved. And then there was a problem with the Granit hard bed. I thought I was Fred Flinstone sleeping in bedrock. Asked for a mattress topper and that was 50% more comfortable. We were on the 2nd. floor. Oh those stairs for us 2 oldies.!!!!! No lift. The meals were acceptable and the beers were cold. My wife was not prepared to swim in the pool. It looked accommodating but was full with men who were on a holiday for the night life. She made a comment about what might be floating in the water. The men were about 30 to 2 only Thai women. The highlight of this hotel was their staff. Always smiling and very well trained. Would I stay again.??? As a single - maybe. Doubt it's a family hotel though. When we booked several months ago, I am aware that we paid a significantly higher room rate through a booking agency than what people were paying just walking in of the street. I personally rate this hotel 5/10.

I am currently half way through a Month long Holiday here, and although I am not staying at the Yorkshire Hotel, I have eaten here most days.
The food is Top Drawer. The Breakfasts are always delicious, and amazing value, as they include Fruit Juice AND a Coffee.
However, last night, I had their Steak & Ale Pie, with Mashed Potatoes, and Veg. OMG. This is better than you get back home. Plenty of Steak in the Pie, amazing Pastry, Lovely Gravy, and I never expected to get such fantastic Mash so far from home.
The Staff on every occasion, have been so Professional, Efficient, and Courteous. I had a wait the other night, because they had a Party on. Totally understandable. I had worked it out, but they explained the wait to me, and offered me a free beer while I waited. They could do no more.
I am going back there today for their Sunday Lunch !

Imagine your favourite place to take a holiday has two places you love. One is a hotel that just suites you, it has all you want; a gym, a sauna, pool, position to the action and is not going to cost you an arm and a leg.
The other place is a bar/disco place that just goes off. So, one morning you wake up and you had this dream that these two places were joined into one! Weird dream, they seem miles apart. Then you realise that they are in fact they are back-to-back, and someone has knocked the wall down and renovated the whole complex and its just stunning. On top of that the prettiest young people on the planet just keep smiling at you. Very surprising since you are an old, bald, fart.
I bet they don’t give me a discount for that review, still as I said, it won’t cost you the earth.
Room tip: Large Double Deluxe is the sweet spot

Solo tripping through Thailand in July after the Thai Pass requirements were removed. I booked this hotel while looking at the location on Google Maps. I wasn't quite sure about the pictures that were online, well i was alone so i was not that worried.
Well upon reaching The Yorkshire Hotel, i was pleasantly surprised. The location is super, just 2 mins walking from Club illuzion, and Soi bangla. The Arab food resturant serving shawarmas (donner kebabs) is on the start of the road. Multiple massage parlour around the hotel incase you are tired.
Two Chemist shops nearby, and a reliable Bike rental shop nearby, moreover, if you are 420 friendly, there is a nice shop selling the 'good stuff' on the other side of the road where Yorkshire hotel is located.
Rooms were colorful, a bit dark and basic, but you are in Phuket to party and thats why you are reading this. Rooms were safe as well, cleaning and service was on point.
The hostess ANN, is sweet n cheerful speaks good English, and attends to all problems you might face. The hotel also has a GYM and a big swimming pool.
The english breakfast was super, the coffee was super, they also serve draft beer at the resturant, if you fancy watching F1 or football you can chill downstairs with large screen TVs.
The location is so good that you can just walk around Soi Bangla, Jung Ceylon mall and near by markets and come back drop you stuff in your room and go party.
Even if you are sloshed, you can crawl back to your hotel haha. The Crowd at the hotel during my stay were mostly Britishers and few americans? maybe. no problem whatsoever.
Loved this stay.
Room tip: No lift, elevator, ask for rooms on the ground floor or 1st maybe.

One of my favourite places to visit . Didn’t stay there but spent most days eating / drinking or using the gym . Owner could see I was struggling to find a decent glass of wine in Patong and magiced up a bottle of Nz sav blanc for me ! The satay chicken skewers were on point and the beef mince was amazing !!! The margaritas lethal ! Staff friendly and without ‘ attitude ‘ . I highly recommend !
