My husband and stayed at the Icona in Avalon for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. One word to describe our stay: Exceptional. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and clean. Because they knew it was our anniversary, we had a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us. Every staff member we encountered were courteous, kind and helpful. The music at The Sandbar both nights was awesome.

Early check in was a real plus.
We enjoyed the hot tub immensely.As well as the beachside and poolside lounges and umbrellas.Everything was within footsteps.
From the Açaí Bowl and Plentiful,Healthy Half Pineapple with Fresh Berries, Yogurt, and Granola @ Avalon Brew Pub for breakfast.
SandBar Village amazing mahi tacos and refreshing Kona draft for lunch.
Even StarBucks coffee @ Shimmers right in hotel.
ICONA Avalon did not disappoint.
Great customer service. Tasty food options.
ICONA Avalon was like Paradise On Our Beautiful Jersey Shore!

Just returned from my annual June vacation at The Icona. I’ve lost track how many times I’ve visited this resort.
Staying here you truly feel like you are away! Avalon is very different from the overcrowded northern shore towns. And the Icona is far superior to other Jersey hotels at the shore.
Cleanliness of rooms and all hotel areas: excellent
Pool: attendants remembered us from last summer which is always nice to see. They work very hard all day keeping the area clean . The pool area is spacious and pretty however the pool itself is not large and gets crowded and noisy with children. Keep this in mind if you are looking to actually swim in the pool!
Beach: Gorgeous quiet beach. Attendants are always ready to set up chairs and umbrellas.
Housekeeping: again, nice to be remembered by our usual team and they do a great job.
Food: Brew Pub very good although they left off items multiple times when we took food to go. SandBar: good drinks, new menu focuses on fried food and spicey seasoning. Options are much better for lunch at The Windrift.
Will be back in August!
We are repeat customers because we love the Icona in Avalon! The staff always have a smile on their face. I appreciate that the concierge and chair/umbrella staff on the beach seem to anticipate your needs instead of me having to come to them and feel like I’m a bother. The staff is very personable and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The shuttle service took us into Stone Harbor and picked us up. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided and set up for you. Beautiful grounds and beach, clean rooms, comfortable beds. All you have to do is enjoy your vacation!
I had the ULTIMATE pleasure of working with Courtney, Kait, and the ICONA Avalon events team throughout my clients wedding planning process and wedding day, (wedding day on June 8th, 2024,) and to say that I was overly impressed with the organization, skill, and process is an understatement!
As a destination wedding planner and designer, a venue that is efficient in all areas is extremely rare to find. From day one, the communication that Courtney and Kait provided was a breath of fresh air, as they were always available for any quick questions and very easy to reach, (which is crucial,) as my clients had a lot of moving parts within their design, wedding day, and vendor team. I really enjoyed how Courtney and Kait took the initiative to schedule calls with the clients and myself leading up to wedding day to ensure that all tasks were being followed and all questions were being answered, (as I typically schedule these meetings,) but it was SO nice to learn that this was part of their process- a small detail that many venues lack doing and did not go unnoticed on my end!
On wedding day, Courtney and Kait were hard working, caring, and always in sight. The two were available at all times and flexible with any requests. Courtney and Kait assisted with a speedy yet efficient setup and tear down!
A special shout out to Tammy and the servers at ICONA Avalon! The leadership that Tammy gives to her team is unmatched, as the servers knew what to do and when at all times of the day. The setup went without a hitch! Tammy and her team were extremely flexible with any requests and I truly can't thank them enough for their teamwork and collaboration. Dinner service corresponded to our projected timeline perfectly, (something that other venues really lack taking seriously,) and I was blown away with how efficient the evening went. Most importantly, the servers all had smiling faces and were attentive and kind to the couple and guests.
A grateful shout out to the front desk team as my check-in and check out was seamless and my room was beautiful. Housekeeping was efficient as they kept my room clean and tidy.
I really can't say enough about Courtney, Kait, Tammy, and the ICONA Avalon events team and hotel team and I am forever grateful that our paths crossed. I will recommend this venue to anyone and everyone, and I hope to be back to work together again very soon! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING, Icona AVALON, you are truly one of a kind!
