Away from Noisy White Beach

Reviewed Sep 8, 2017
We spent our first anniversary here and everything was amazing. The highlights of our stay at Coral Garden Beach Resort (Montani Beach Resort) are the food they serve and the island hopping tour. The cooks are very good and we had enjoyed their Filipino dishes such as sinigang, tinola, and adobong baboy. The dishes are a bit pricey but they are good and being served for sharing. So a single order can be shared by two persons.

The island hop tour package costs 1200 Pesos (for two pax already). The guides are great and friendly, so we suggest to give them tips after a tiring tour under the sun and across strong waves. Prepare yourselves for snorkeling (included in the island hop tour package) 'cause this will be your greatest aquarium experience!

The only problem we encountered here was the television with no cable channels. In short, we were not able to enjoy watching TV shows. But this is just a minor issue, maybe they have already worked on their cable connections.

Overall, we had a perfect stay at this hotel.

Stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed my stay here, and would recommend to all.
I have read the poor review by the American. Some things are not ringing quite true here!!!
Yes it is 100 peso (apx £1.70)to hire the snorkeling gear but its for the whole day not when you get out of the water. And they were decent enough. But if you are really into snorkeling why would you need to hire, you will have your own????Three of us hired a boat & man for 5 hours and he took all over the place giant clam, long beach ,coral reef and some of his secret hideaways ......1000 peso about £15 for 5 hours thats a bargain!!!!We got to see giant turtles which was brilliant swimming just below you watching there massive eyes just made my day. The food is good and at a good price but may a little slow if its busy. The only negative for me,is its maybe a little quiet after 10pm the place just seem empty but thats just me i like a bit of nightlife. But all in all was a great 4 days.

Room tip: Best rooms are 2,3 and 4

This hotel is the only one on the island accessible via Muelle Port, far from other hotels like in Sabang and White Beach. Food is good and staff are friendly. You can rent a boat that would bring you snorkeling near by (10 minute boat ride) or scuba diving within 1 hour.

This is a perfect destination if you want a quiet place to stay at a reasonable price. The room is big and clean. The staff are very accommodating. They allowed us to check in early since it's holyweek and we need to be early to avoid the large crowd. The food is quite pricey but you really have no choice. The resort is located in an island surrounded by residential houses and a school next to it.
For the activities, snorkeling site is just a walk away from the resort *thumbs up* if you opt for the island tour, I recommend that you avail of the resort's package than hire someone from the locals. The resort's boatman is more familiar with the beautiful snorkeling spots and we enjoyed his company more than when we hired another local the next day. :)
We truly enjoyed our stay here. Thanks Coral Garden! 🌟

We spent our post anniversary in this place and I would say that the place was amazing! I love the beach, even it's small and shallow, the underwater was great! Staff and manager were also nice and they even offered us a free fried bangus (milkfish) when we are having our lunch in the restaurant on our last day. You ahould also try their offered daily tour activity. The location of the hotel is near on the clam shell and coral garden and you can see a lot of sea creatures under. Action cam is also a must so you won't miss the wonders of the reef! The only thing I don't like is the water interruption. The room is nice and clean (we availed the room w/ the sea view) with a very nice ventilation, however, water flow is not good and we need to transfer to the other room to use the bathroom. But all in all, this is a place where you can definitely go back and recommend to other people.

Small resort of about 7 rooms but this just adds to the character. The resort is family run, Christian and family are excellent hosts. Chef Marvin can whip up just about anything. They will provide/organise most excursions at fair prices. Short boat trip into the main town of Sabang but I preferred staying in San Antonio as we preferred the isolation. I stayed with a friend and the vibe was great, drinking, music, BBQs every night and the staff were very accommodating and we always invited them to join in the fun. I loved the whole experience and we did a lot in 4/5 days that I can't begin to detail it all.

Resort is right on the beach front so you can just jump into the sea and go for a snorkel whenever you feel like. Christian knows all the best spots for fishing and snorkeling etc. Swimming with sea turtles is a must and go to see the giant clams.

Rooms are to standard and the balcony with sea view ones are amazing. Staff also speak good English, if that is something you value. The hotel is part of the larger Montani hotel in Sabang.

Be sure to challenge Big Mark to an arm wrestle!

Can't fault this place.
