Mediocre 2 star property. Not maintained well

Reviewed Sep 5, 2022via mobile
Went there with family for long weekend with great hopes but the hopes were all hypes and i should have trusted reviews i read, but i still thought it would be worth trying once here. But not again, thanks.

Woodpecker restaurant is too slow, people working there are not happy. AC was not on for lunch even if there were more than 30 people including kids having lunch.

Lake front cafe is good and people there are humble and fast. Tasty food at both the restaurants though.

For the price paid, no room sleepers, no iron - only ironing board, hair dryer not working, shaving kit absent, open wires below bathroom mirror..very risky, drainage at bathroom horrible, it needs five minutes after your shower for water to drain out, same with wash basin. Overall room upkeep not good, Cobwebs at corners, previous guests hair on sofa welcrow, sofa seems not vacuumed for ages, bedsheets stinking of previous guest's perspiration, balcony light not working, in-room coffemaker kettle leaking and the mugs were not cleaned, minibar empty, white fridge turned yellow and not working, bath towels not washed properly, no laundry bags, no laundry, etc etc.

Garbage everywhere including empty liquor bottles in front of Aussie rooms, disposable dishes, condoms and cigarette butts. Also the sever domes in front of Aussie rooms were open which is risky from reptiles perspective.

The property seems neglected and they are only focussing on hosting large groups from Mumbai and Pune for conferences at the cost of proper service, room upkeep and hygiene. Not recommended!

Every activity or restaurant is either closed or is far away. The hotel staff is not cooperative. Connection to rooms is lethargic .The place is too expensive and feels boring. No efforts made for entertainment of kids even on Sunday.

Room tip: Dont travel to this place without your car and be ready to shell out a lot of unnecessary money.

Amazing place to visit but saddled with low maintenance and lots of dreaded monkeys. When we stayed in Aussie villa, our enjoyment had no bounds. Lush green forest and clouds running into balcony and a cup of tea. We visited various places and they were equally amazing within Amby valley. Although restaurant were costly, still we liked lower crowd and ambience.
However, soon our excitement turned into horror as we were surrounded by a group of 20 monkeys as we were strolling closer to our room. We yelled for help and security arrived, however, they said not to worry as they are friendly. Next day morning i saw a big monkey slowly opening balcony and i rushed him out to see 5 monkeys on the balcony. Other balconies too were crowded with monkeys. The staff plainly said that they cannot do anything to address the issue.

Every moment in the trip was amazing. It was my husband's birthday and they arranged surprise cake and welcomed with open hearts. They treat guest with respect and solve the issue quickly if there's any. The room was so beautiful and the facilities were all so good. The food is very delicious and arrangements were all done as per said while booking. The places were all worth visiting. The place is soo big that you require 2-3 days to visit all the spots..

Must visit place..👍👍

Decided to visit the famed Aamby Valley City on a recommendation of friend (former friend now methinks). The place was beyond terrible. For starters it felt like the whole place was dead. We entered the reception and no one was around. The staff saw us and start the ambient music and came running around to meet us. There were large spiders crawling across the reception floors with no one to attend to it. We were booked in the Aussie suite which looked like it had seen better days. The place was drab, damp and downright dirty. Fixtures (including the toilet flush) were broken. Dead insects lay all over. My entire family's face fell as soon as we entered the room. We learned new ways of getting fleeced by the "resort" such as buggy rides inside this facility will cost you. If you want to go your room or dining room, thats free but want to go to another restaurant (part of the hotel premises) or activity (again part of the hotel) will cost you per ride (even though the distances arent walkable)! What utter nonsense! Most activities were cancelled or not available. Im not sure if this was permanent or just because they did not have enough people there to run them. All in all, this was one of the worst places I have visited globally!!

A long family trip overdue. Mumbai to Pune to Aamby Valley to Mumbai.
Long weekend, crazy traffic. Avoid the short cut from Pune to Aamby as the road is pathetic

Aamby valley ... perfect planning / reservation through Ekta from the Aamby team as was traveling with my family and parents. My father a retired fauji and a war veteran likes things to be by the book and as per defined timing. He was all in praise for the set up / eye for details. The visit to Mabruk restaurant was awesome with the head chef's personal touch and warmth of the service personnel.

Beautiful experience, lovely stay

Room tip: Avoid the short cut from Pune to Aamby and do carry a jacket specially in monsoons as it gets a bit windy
