Great location and experience

Review of Paris Las Vegas
Reviewed Jun 2, 2024
We arrived Wednesday, May 29 and left Saturday, June 1. We arrived at 1 pm and opted not to check in early ($25 if before 3 pm) so we had a light lunch at Cafe Americano and went up to Beer Park for a drink (great view of the fountains, go here in the evening).
We did mobile check in at the kiosk and the process took literally 5 minutes. Mobile check out was also simple.

We were in room 1711 - we chose a slightly upgraded room with a view of the “Eiffel tower” and the pool. Fridge was included and the view was perfect. Water pressure and temperature were great, AC worked, room was clean, bed was comfortable, shampoo/conditioner isn’t anything great but is adequate. We had no issues with noise, either from other rooms or from the pool/nightclub.

The location is perfect - we had a view of the Bellagio fountains, there is a CVS basically next door, and easy walking to Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, and Caesar’s, plus affordable eating options nearby as well as expensive dinner options. The casino is small, but you’re so close to big casinos, so who cares? We picked Paris for affordability and proximity and just walked for other amenities. The smoke smell is rather strong, but we felt it was just as strong at Caesar’s and nowhere near as bad as Fremont Street, best was Bellagio and Cosmopolitan (newer ventilation, we suspect).

We booked a double pool bed for one day, which was great - nice and shady in the triple digit heat. Alcoholic drinks are very expensive at the pool ($34 for a frozen drink) but we got multiple buckets of complimentary water bottles as part of our reservation which was appreciated. Pool is family friendly and easy to find.

Staff was friendly at the hotel and in the restaurants. We had no issues.

Uber pickup is in the self-parking garage and is easy to find - go past Vanderpump, past the shops, and just before you turn left into Horseshoe, you’ll see the escalators up to self parking. Go up, then down the hallway and out into the parking garage. Walk about halfway down and there’s a designated area for pick up.

Paris Las Vegas is a good, reasonably priced mid-tier hotel on the strip. You aren’t paying for Bellagio-level luxury, so you really shouldn’t expect it. We would stay again.

We literally booked at Paris wanting to stay at PARIS, paid for an upgraded room and they put us in the Horseshoe. If we wanted to stay at Horseshoe we would have booked there. Construction going on right above UPGRADED room. Terrible experience

Room tip: Make sure they put you in the correct hotel

Very dissapointed in our recent stay. We arrived at hotel at 10:30 am got in line and were advised that they were charging a $50 early check in fee. We opted not to do this and the check in assistant was rude. We asked another manager about the bell desk to check out bag and he advised that if we "waited an hour" the price for early check in dropped to $25.00? we opted for this. The room was dated and two of the light fixtures were missing light bulbs. The TV remote also didn't work (needed new batteries) the water was out for several hours one day and we discovered this after not being able to flush the toilet!. When we called down to report it they said "well that's because the water is out!" . Housekeeping did not come to our room at all one day. (we did see carts in hall but for some reason ) they omitted our room (no do not disturb sign on door) . The hotel did waive our resort fees when we mentioned all the issues at check out. In future will give Paris hotel a miss.

Room tip: Pool bar $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ pricey!

In general the staff was professional and accommodating but the facility was starting to show its age from the public bathroom off of the check in desk not being available to water being out of service on the 7th floor for several hours and lighting and tv issues in our room 768. I made the reservation at this property thinking that next to Caesars Palace the Paris would be more high end. I did not feel that way after this experience and will make me rethink my use of Caesar’s Property for my next visit

Terrible customer service - the internet setup had issues and wrongly charged me two days of extra internet and they don’t take calls or disconnect it without solving the problem. Last day water ran out for 4 hours and wouldn’t help with it - came out of shower with shampooed hair and when I asked for help on the phone they said come down to registration desk which is a 1hr wait. Imagine my condition - they had zero consideration in spite of the fact that it was 100% hotel maintenance issue. Have never been in a more terrible state with zero help.

Otherwise the hotel and location is great - just service is terrible.

Room tip: Just wish the water doesn’t run out. Plan for paying a lot for the internet

We were incredibly disappointed in our last stay at the Paris. We used to love it but Hospitality is not there top concern anymore. We chose this hotel because they said they were pet friendly. But that was not our experience. Now… people may read this and think the Vegas strip is not a place for dogs. But sometimes that’s how travel plans turn out and you have no choice but to bring your pups. So if you’re going to advertise as “Pet friendly” That’s what we expect. First checking in took over an hour because there were 2 people doing check ins over a holiday weekend. Secondly they charge a pet fee but did not give a pet welcome package like their site says. They gave us a pet room that completely smelled of urine. Then the air conditioning stopped working midway through our stay. Furthermore, the pet relief area was 1/2 mile away from the room and in the middle of a construction zone. So my pups were dodging nails and broken glass while trying to do their business.
Unrelated to the pet stay issues, we encountered so many rude employees. The first rude encounter was on the phone while trying to book the room. Booking a pet room requires you to call the hotel directly. It took 48 minutes to book a 2 night stay. I was on hold for most of it. From there it was bored hostesses at the restaurants and cranky dealers at the tables. No one was particularly welcoming.
The only bright spot was the bar staff at the Bedford. They were kind, helpful and the food was delicious.
