First, do not confuse the Andaman Seaside Resort with that of the other one with a similar name: Andaman Bay Resort right across the street and an actual seaside resort. They both even look the same with villas around a pool...trust me, make sure you book the correct one.
The Andaman Seaside Resort is not seaside but it is a 2 minute walk to the beach and a great location for other amenities.
They do have parking but barley room for 2 cars.
We found the Andaman Seaside Resort to be perfect for our needs, price point and pace of life as we do not like large sprawling resorts.
The rooms may be a bit dated and warn out but not too badly...but they are spacious, very clean and the king beds were perfectly comfortable. I cannot do hard beds that are typical for this region so I can assure you that the bed in my villa and my daughter's villa (107/108) were fine.
The staff were always friendly(spoke enough English) and helpful but a bit aloof. We did not eat any food at the hotel restaurant but instead ate breakfast at a few other around Bang Tao.
The wifi is fine, free water every day, and clean rooms everyday. The pool is lovely. They impose an odd rule about turning on the pool jets and waterfall to save electricity. I asked to turn it on and they said it's only on daily from 1pm to 2pm- Odd? yes, because most guests are out doing things. and they said they need more guest to turn it on.
I politely rejected their logic and stated that "I am a guest and I paid. I understand your electrical issues but we would like to use the facilities that we paid for"...she reluctantly allowed us to use the pool jets only. The waterfall was not turned on...I did not ask about that part.
I am not an entitled traveler. I have lived in Thailand for 4 years and been visiting for over 20 years. On occasion I do push back on illogical and inconsistent things.
Anyway, that pool issue is a tiny dot.
I would recommend the Andaman Seaside Resort. There's also a wheel chair accessible room with a ramp - if that is a need for you.
There's a bit of loud nightly music from the area from the late bars scene but it's too bad.
I will stay here again for my next time in Bang Tao.
