Firstly, despite me arriving late and it being off season, the welcome was fantastic. Lovely room and easy wifi password!
Once settled, i had a meal and a few beers. Orlando was really professional and accommodating to me as the only English person in town! Helped with extra things like bluetooth for my own music in the billiards room and advised on the route i came to hike.
Then, just as i thought it was already amazing....Stefi really helped me out again in the morning. She was an absolutely fantastic ambassador for the Hotel but also the local area. She helped with my train, allowed me to use facilities for a little longer and provided an extra towel for my swim! Thank you all so much. I'll be bringing friends back here for sure.
I have visted 67 places and am on my way to number 68 now...Belgium!
This visit is a perfect example of human service, get that right and you don't need 5* Very happy indeed.

Good place for a short stay, big balcony overlooking the mountains. Most of the hotels and places to stay in Kandersteg look similar. Iron and iron desk were available. Upon request.

Make sure to visit the Oeschinen Lake - we used cable car to get there and walked all the way down to Kandesteg enjoying lots of “waterfalls”

Great location, really nice view. We had a superior room with a roll out jacuzzi and a steamshower. The room is beautifully decorated with many lovely details. Very comfortable bed and couch. There‘s a big indoor swimmingpool also with the option of opening it up. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was a little small and we wished there would have been some egg dishes. But the whole stay was really amazing!! With all the mountains and lakes around the hotel, just beautiful!
