Very good, but not quite 4*

We stayed in May and got some great weather. The hotel, staff and Tui staff were all fab, however there are a few things that need changing to consider this a 4*.

Pros
- idealyllic views, stunning
- clean
- delicious food
- Good cocktails
- great splash park
- Good number of kids pools
- lovely spa and gym
- kids playground
- evening/day entertainment for kids was fab
- very nice staff who have plenty of time for the kids
- comfy beds
- staff knowledge great
- car hire cheap and efficient
- Well located to walk into town
- lovely beach area (very peaceful)
- handy having a baby club as well as kids club

Cons
- pool/garden rooms could do with a gate on the entrance to stop little ones running out if you're relaxing in them (ours had stairs either side that they could easily fall down if not caught in time)
- rooms were not replenished with tea, coffee or water
- there was an all in one wash for the shower. For a 4* I'd expect separate shampoo, conditioner, body wash tgats replenished daily, or at the least every other day
- quite a few hills so not necessarily the best with smaller kids/wheelchairs but was manageable for us (depends on your fitness level)
- based on above, some areas still require ramps
- one of the a la carte restaurants is the same as the snack bar, not that extra special in terms of ambience, but food was still lovely
- there could be more option on the soft drinks
- all Inc wine was not great
- no option of late checkout, even when promised on arrival and hotel not at full capacity yet (speaking to other families, they had the same experience)
- no set days for photographer by restaurant (knowing this is helpful for families if they have specific family outfits they want etc)
- room locks from inside so no one can get in, but is easily unlocked and opened just by pushing down the handle from the inside...not great with young kids inside and a pool outside...we had to barracade the door each night to ensure our 2.5year old couldn't escape.

Overall, we had a lovely stay, but there are a few tweaks that need to be made to consider this a family focused 4* hotel.

On another note, most of the points that you have mentioned have been taken under serious consideration and fewhave been addressed.
Furthermore i would like to mention few points of the cons of the hotels point of you.
water - we do provide a bottle of water upon arrival in the rooms - not replenish .but self service water station available in all bars .(environmental reasons)
the same, shampoo and conditioner in the shower room available but not in small bottles.
the hotel design and structure- location unfortunately is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
regarding the late check out our policy for all our Guests is very simple -upon availability . please bear in mind that rooms allocated the day before to new arriving guests .
Soft drinks we do provide the common products of Pepsi .
photographer is outsource operator and hotel has no responsibility at all.
also all rooms with pools-sharing or private are equipped with a locker already .

in conclusion, we are pleased to know that you had a lovely stay

Excellent family holiday

Just had a fantastic week here at Elounda Breeze. The reviews suggest the food is hit or miss, but to be honest it has been really good for me. If you’re hoping for fish and chips or a roast on a Sunday, you’re probably going to be disappointed, but if grilled chicken, octopus, moussakka, pasta etc., is your thing then you’ll probably quite enjoy it! It does get a bit samey after a while but the quality has always been good for what it is. Rooms are lovely, and everything is spotless. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. Only downside is that they don’t make up the room very often.

Staff and Tui reps were great, very friendly and helpful, and all went out of their way to help us have a great time. An ideal hotel if you have kids, 2.5yr old loved the entertainment and there was always plenty to keep her occupied.

Only downsides are the lack of room service, drinks are ok but not great, and location wise theres not loads to see or do but on these types of holidays perhaps that isn’t essential. And it’s easy to get to places of interest if you fancy a change. Probably more a 4* than a 5, but we’ve had a fantastic time here so will give it a 5!

Elounda breeze hotel -amazing

Great family holiday

Overall a great family holiday! I would recommend it.. I really don't understand the negative reviews about the food we thought the food was excellent lots of choice and very nice and different options. Not sure what more they could have done. We really liked the drinks too and good that there were different places around the hotel you could get food/ drink.
We had an older and younger child. Youngest went to baby club and enjoyed it, so good to have a break and spend time with our older daughter. I thought the staff were very good and trustworthy in baby club.
My older daughter loved the games and the tui staff really made a fuss of her making her feel special.
Entertainment was very good.
Can't fault the tui staff at all.
There's a range of pools so we did flit between them depending on our mood and what we wanted I.e. quiet adult time or fun slides. The lifeguards took their jobs very seriously i was impressed to see one of them jump without any hesitation when a little girl came off the slide and didn't seem to be able to swim well (children weren't supposed to go on that slide unless they could swim well). They were very attentive the whole time so I think it's safe for kids.

The only downsides were the room not cleaned as often as I'd have liked.

My daughter is really missing it now. Met some lovely people, special memories made.
I'd say don't listen to the bad reviews the nature of reviews people are always picking holes in everything.

Room tip: Have a good explore early on. Not amazing for people with mobility issues.

Food was shocking

Food was shocking there reviews said it was really good but was really poor also our family room was constantly filled with ants and door to our room kept breaking and was locked out a number of times

It is a tremendous help for us to know how our guest perceive our services and where we have to focus on improvement to remain an exclusive property.
It was disheartening to read that we could not fully meet your expectations and would like to apologize for any dissatisfaction felt during your stay with us.
Regarding the the food choices of our main Buffet we do very much appreciate your respectful opinion and have taken note of the comments you mentioned in order to discuss with our management team but all reviews as you already know are based on each client experience and taste and on objectivity..
Regarding the ants we would like to inform you that the hotels is located in an open land area with many green gardens .and we have a disinfection programme .
As for the room locker this could have been easily rectified by our maintenance team.
However We really hope you will choose to visit us again in the future, so we are able to improve your perception of our hotel
