I simply don’t recognise the hotel described in the one star reviews as the same hotel we stayed in!

We loved staying at Le Tahiti. All of the staff were friendly and efficient, especially the restaurant staff who looked after us very well. When our onward flight was cancelled at short notice the front desk were very helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. The views from our room were stunning, especially the sunsets. The hotel gardens are immaculate. I awarded four stars particularly because I found the pool, which is in pristine condition, uncomfortably cold so didn’t use it as often as I should, and the lunch and dinner menus are the same. These are minor, and completely personal, gripes in the scheme of things.

Our family of four stayed in two rooms on two occasions as a layover between our international flights and Bora Bora.

As we stayed at the Pearl resort on Bora Bora we received a significant discount on our accommodation and was the reason for choosing this place.

The reception desk were very friendly which deserves a mention as we encountered them mainly between 12am and 5am due to flight arrival and departure times.

This place is a good 20 minutes from the airport but is in a beautiful setting.

Overall it is a bit tired and run down but you can see a number of soft finishes have been upgraded. In one of our rooms the down stairs air conditioner was broken (we did report it but it didn't matter as the second one worked sufficiently).

The pool was good, the food okay.

The black beach was just down a few steps from the hotel.

Overall the hotel was in line with expectations and met our needs.

It is not close to any alternative places to eat out unless you take the ‘expensive’ taxis. The only reason I say this is because we have eaten at the hotel for the 4 days we stayed and have not had a meal yet that you could honestly say ‘wow’ I would have that again. I am not making reference to the pricing just the quality, or lack of. The menu is ‘ flat’ and the specials ( which we have tried) were pretty tasteless. It’s almost like the kitchen don’t have salt or pepper etc. Very surprising bearing in mind the French connection.
Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, room we had was clean and kept stocked. The hotel puts on a free shuttle into Papeete with last pick up at 16.30.

We flew to Tahiti last September and stayed at Le Tahiti by Pearl for 3 nights before heading to Morea then Bora Bora.

The hotel was clean and tidy. Our room with sea view and jacuzzi was amazing, looking out onto the black sand beach.

The restaurant and pool area were a great place to chill out. All in all, a great place to relax and start to sort the jet lag from UK.

A great nights entertainment with the local fire dancers etc, book in advance to get a seat.

A 20 min bus or taxi ride from town, and there was a free bus service into town if required.

John & Simone from Leeds, UK.

The location is ideal, taxis each way are about $20-30 depending on where you're headed. Property has private black sand beach access. A nice pool, juccuzi was cold the whole stay. They provide a great show on the weekend with dancers and they invite guest to join them. Breakfast buffet on the weekends, and it was really good, especially the local fish dish "poisson cru".
Now our only issue was the state of the property and we did have a issue on our last night at dinner. Our particular room "300 building" was run down. Mold on the ceiling, the bathroom was sad and had a smell. You can tell when the resort first opened it was probably really nice. But now it definitely needs some major TLC. The front desk staff were very nice and welcoming, and the cleaning staff were great as well. Overall a nice stay, but the living quarters were a bit beat up for my liking. I do believe they have a newer building so hopefully those are up to par, overall the resort is good for a quick stay.

We are happy to know you enjoyed your stay with us despite the fact that the condition of the room did not satisfy you, we regret it. The resort continue a phase of "soft renovation and room redecoration and restyling. While this is will definitely give the resort a fresher look, it will not disturb our guests' comfort and tranquility.

At the hotel owned parking lot, our rental car was damaged by a falling piece of rock. The hotel initially assured us of handling the damages. However, now that we are back home, they are ignoring all messages, and we are left with the costs of almost € 2000,-
