Wow. This was my second experience with the family at a halal friendly hotel and it turned out to be better than my first one. From the moment our Airport transfer arrived to pick us up we knew we were in for a treat. We had a luxurious VW Transporter to pick us up which had lovely interior with extra gadgets such as wireless charging for your phone and Wi-Fi access which was very useful.

Once we got to the hotel at 4am it was very quiet as expected after a very tiring journey but the hotel staff at the reception were very mindful and didn't make us wait for long to allow us to go to our room. As we were hungry the staff did tell us where we needed to go where we could help ourselves to some food even though everything was closed at their restaurants.

After a couple of hours sleep we made our way to the main restaurant for breakfast and we were surrounded by loads of other friendly families. They have a buffet style arrangement and there are plenty of options such as meat, veg, fruits, cereal as well as different style of eggs. I would always go for a fresh omelette and they had staff who would prepare it with the specific ingredients that you wanted to choose. There were plenty of free tables for you to sit on and we didn't find we had to wait much to find one available for us all to sit together. The same restaurant is used for your evening meal and once again they put on a good spread to cater for everyone.

As the hotel is huge there is a lot to explore on site. There is the very popular Starbucks Cafe, Gym with decent equipment, Both Men's and Women's separate Spa area to relax, a separate pool for both men and women as well as a family pool, a games room, an outdoor stage with entertainment throughout the day, tennis courts, football courts as well as other interesting activities for the guests to enjoy. All these facilities are free to use for the guests and rightfully so with it being an all inclusive resort.

One thing I must mention is that the hotel provide plenty of food throughout the day in the cafe areas when you are outside whether that's near the beach or the pool area. They have fresh Italian style stonebaked pizzas near the family pool area which is very popular as well as Gozlemes (loved the spicy potato flavoured ones as well as meat mince and cheese ones) which is nice to snack on in the afternoon. You have so many options for drinks and ice lollies also which is readily available at all the cafe areas. They had the most popular ice creams and ice lollies such as Twisters, Feast and Cornettos and we never experienced any issues where they would run out of any of these options.

Now to the staff. We found all the hotel staff to be very friendly and genuine. I seemed to have got the impression that they wanted to always help you beyond what you expect and with a smile. From the staff at the reception/lobby area to the staff in the games room and the rest of them on site were always there to chat to you and make you feel so welcome which I have not experienced at other hotels.

One particular person who stood out was a very nice genuine guy called Muhammet Fatih Sahin who worked for the Animation Team . He introduced himself to me when I met him at the gym and I would see him almost every day entertaining the guests and chatting away to everyone. He would always advise on the activities we could do during our stay at the hotel and would always encourage us all to participate so we could enjoy ourselves more with all the entertainment available. The hotel need more staff like Muhammet Fatih as he genuinely wants all the guests to have a good time. Keep up the good work and I hope the Management at the hotel acknowledge how important he is as a member of staff.

I would also like to mention Yasin at the tennis court who helped me with a full session with his coaching on a one to one level which was such a good experience. He also helped me improve my game and gave me valuable advice. Thank you so much Yasin for spending time with me to improve my tennis skills. :)

As for shopping there is a Bazaar just outside the hotel where you can find clothes, handbags and also some quality Turkish Delight. I would advise people to try and bargain at the local shops so you get a deal from the shop keepers. There is also a shopping mall which is a 15 min walk away from the hotel called Lyra Park on the main road. Definitely worth checking this place out as the prices are very reasonable and all fixed prices. Along the way to Lyra Park you will also find other local shops which are worth visiting

As I chose a standard Family room one of my criticism would be the decor was below standard to the rest of hotel that I saw. I didn't like the hard flooring in the room and also the shower head kept on moving whilst I was having my showers and I couldn't keep it to the height that I wanted which was very very frustrating. The bathroom needed its own independent shower rather than just a shower head attached to the main tap on the bath tub. I did ask the staff at the reception if I could view a family deluxe room but non were free at the time. This would have given me the option to compare a standard family room to a deluxe one as the deluxe looked much nicer in the pics.

The Masjid is such a nice touch at this hotel and there is plenty of room as well as segregation for both Men and Women. Salah is very important for us Muslims so we made good use of the Masjid on site. :)

Also the Starbucks Cafe was very busy throughout the day. Although the staff working there did a fantastic job of serving all the guests sometimes you could end up waiting up to half an hour in the queue to be served so I think the hotel needs to do something about that to shorten the waiting during peak times. The drinks were awesome though from Frapuccinos to Chai Lattes to Iced Drinks. :)

One other thing, the games room needs to have some sort of rota for the pool tables as during peak times on a night they would not be available for everyone to play on. If they had some sort of system where you could book an hour's slot then it would be fair for everyone to get a chance to play on. Just something to consider for the hotel staff in order for it to run smoothly.

Overall I can safely say that this is the best halal family friendly hotel we have stayed in Turkey so far. A huge credit to all the hotel staff for doing such a fantastic job looking after the guests. I would 100% go back to this hotel again given the opportunity as there is no compromise with the facilities and the quality of food/drinks available here.
