My wife and I stayed at Sandos Caracol December 8-15.
This is our third time and we absolutely love this resort.

We bought the vacation for our 10 year anniversary, so we upgraded to a Select Club Penthouse (7324) - it was worth it, and we will likely do the same for future visits. The room was spacious, clean and cool. We had a large balcony with a tub, that looked into the jungle that was both peaceful and exciting - we had many birds, coatis, Spider monkeys and more pass through every day.

The Staff is amazing, we were greeted by Isobel, who had recognized us from previous visits - she was kind and gave us updates about restaurants times, the shows, etc.
Alejandro was at the front desk and checked us in quickly. He also helped us out a couple of times throughout the week.

While we mostly go on vacation to do nothing, there is plenty to do on resort. Water Park for those who have kids, great shows every night, including live entertainment after the themed shows. One activity that we did was the sensory experience with Viri and Jair. It was really impactful for my wife.

Great beautiful beach to walk along - It is pretty rocky (which is fun to explore, but if you are looking to swim I suggest water shoes. We could always find chairs to relax on at the beach, we also enjoyed the hammocks near the select club beach.

Food - Biggest thanks to all of the team at the select club/Brazilian restaurant - our server for most mornings was Carlos, he did a great job. We enjoyed the food at all of the a la carte restaurants.

We will be back again!

We spent a glorious week at Sandos dec 4-10. There’s so much to do at the resort for all ages. Couple of pools to choose from, water park, bike ride through the resort, feeding the farm animals, learning about ancient Mayan cooking, just to name a few. Only down side is how rocky it is at the beach into the water but an easy fix would be to bring water shoes (not good for people with walking handicap) however you do get full access to a sister resort that has a better beach area(we didn’t go).
I have to take the time to acknowledge a few people who went above and beyond. Firstly Marco Diaz, I cannot say thank you enough for making sure our stay was nothing short of perfect. From the second he greeted us with his welcoming smile till the moment we headed out, he was wonderful! He was attentive to our needs (without having to ask), guided us with any questions or concerns and made us all feel like part of his family! We would visit again just to see him :)
Thank you to Lizetn and Victoria who made sure our room was clean and stocked, Louisa and Victor at the international buffet who greeted us daily and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable stay.
