This is my 5th trip to Cancun and Riviera Maya area. This time we stayed during the Christmas of 2022.
1) The room is small, but clean, new, and come with a jacuzzi outside at the balcony.
2) WiFi is weak.
3) Food quality is not up to par, and so was the lack of varieties.
4) 1st time ever, No FRESH MANGO! The hotel is so penny pinching that a tropical hotel could not afford tropical fruit MANGO!!
5) We checked a couple days before Christmas and paid the full exorbitant prices through Christmas . However, on Christmas Eve, they host a reception outside the arrival door with fresh coconuts, only for guest that checked in on that afternoon. For existing guest, NO Coconuts!! How CHEAP is the hotel and the staff ?!!
6) Most of the restaurants require reservation for dinner. Guess what?! They are ALL FULL for next 3 nights!
7) At the sister hotel GR Solaris Cancun, the male staff at Reservation Desk is so stupid and arrogant. At 6pm, he arrived at the desk with a BAD FACE starting to take reservations. But only the first 2 guests get a spot somewhere, and at 6:03pm, no more seats. Instead of telling the rest 20+ customers queuing about no more reservation for that night, he waited for them one at a time to tell them. After some customers figured out, and school him on this, the male staff got angry! As he confronted 10+ angry customers, he finally walked away.
