My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Pelican Beach Hotel on a weeklong vacation in Turks & Caicos. We stayed at Pelican Beach Hotel on North Caicos for the first four nights of our trip. We took a ferry boat from Providenciales, then rented a car and drove to the hotel, the only resort on the island though there are some rentals. We were greeted kindly and guided to our room and asked when we would like breakfast delivered. The breakfasts were delightful and we enjoyed them on our porch looking out to the water. It was the second week of December, and initially we were the only ones there, but then there are only about 6 rooms. The hotel is directly on the beach, very clean, nice landscaping and gorgeous views of the turquoise water. The hotel is family run, now operated by Donna Gardiner, the daughter of the original owners. The staff take pride in their work and provided helpful information whenever we needed it. The Barracuda Beach Bar was steps away and is also right on the beach. An open air bar with friendly staff and wonderful food and drinks (try the I-Ain Ga-Lie beer from Turks Head Brewery or the Rum Punch, as well as conch fritters and lobster.) Bring strong deet insect repellant to keep sandflys at bay (trust me!). Absolutely gorgeous sand beach and plenty of other beaches nearby. We had some windy weather and some rain but mostly sun or sun/clouds with 80 degree temps consistently. Highly recommend staying at the Pelican Beach Hotel. In fact, we returned to Provo for the last few nights of our trip and stayed in a luxury hotel on the beach, and we kept saying how we missed Pelican Beach Hotel and wished we had stayed there the whole time!
