Nobody deserve something as deplorable like this hotel.

I just arrived at this hotel today, yesterday I sent them via email around 3:00 P.M. USA time, a note informing them that we would arrive the first time in the morning (the next day despite having paid for our stay since the day before) we were taking a night flight. But OH Surprise, We arrived and they didn't save any room for us. We waited for a room for more than three hours, they did not want to give us our money back. However, the charge was running from the previous day. We will definitely, NEVER AGAIN, set foot in this place again. Neither the staff, nor their service, nor the hotel itself are worth it.

Room tip: AVOID this hotel

room not ready

Room not ready at check in. waited 40 mins still was not ready. Paid premium price . Left with bags and came back 2 hours later. management apologised but gave no benefit added. parking was average and the restraunt b delicious was average . I would not pay premium for this barcelo. use the punta cana barcelo's

Very good experience

We had such a wonderful experience at Hotel Barceló in Santo Domingo. The staff was very attentive especially Aurelio Alcalá who helped us with our luggage and every morning when we went down always asked us if we needed anything. I 100 percent recommend staying at this hotel. I also recommend staying on the executive floor, very reasonable in price and a lot more amenities included. I will be returning to this hotel when I return.

Room tip: I checked out the salon and the spa and it was very cheap and very great service. I got a hair blowout and I was super impressed.

Always a Great Experience

I always stay here. The staff remembers me, and they are incredibly nice and helpful every single time. The rooms are comfortable and I love the restaurants too. After a number of stays you have access to a VIP room with a wonderful breakfast spread and a happy hour with delicious appetizers and beer and wine as well. I've never had a complaint staying here over the years.

Nice quick stay!

There was only one problem. And that was the first room assigned to me was musty and had no view. But after that everything was great. The new room was much better! All the service was worth a smile and with competence.
