Where do I start?! Well, first impression you think this place is nice. After looking through reviews and seeing social media we thought we chose a great hotel. When booking we mentioned our anniversary, requested an adequate room facing the pool. Well they couldn't even cater to that minor request!!
I have seen reviews that other people are getting 'free' upgrades to suites we got a terrible room overlooking the main road with way too much noise to get a good night sleep, not even connecting beds just 2 doubles pushed together like you are children bunking on a sleepover. The quality of the beds in that room was appalling, you couldn't move without it a squeak. Couldn't even cuddle up to my partner without fear of falling between the beds.
We went down to complain, but hotel staff were useless, spoke to the guest relations manager who has an attitude and the general manager is rude and tries to intimidate and only want to get money out of you to upgrade. I guess you only get free upgrades if your face fits. Btw what kind of '5 star hotel' doesn't even provide a beach bag? One of the days we went to have a look at another hotel we almost book to look around and got far better hospitality. If that hotel was on TUI we would have requested to swap in the first 24 hours.
After paying for an upgrade as we had no other choice, we finally got a decent enough room. Can't knock the room except for the fact they don't even refill the drinks in the fridge like most 5 star hotels in Turkey.
Sunbeds are a problem in the morning, despite the rules saying no towels to be left on sunbeds before 8, people are out taking up sunbeds before that time. Warning to anyone get your towels down before 9 or you will not find any.
The breakfast is their best selection of the day, don't why there is soup on at breakfast either, lunch and dinner is very hit and miss and alot of selections are repetitive. I can basically tell you the order blindfolded, right hand side as you enter, pide, Shepard's pie, chips, today's meat, vegetables, another days selection and spaghetti with 'neopolitan sauce'. Other side soup, rice, meat in whatever sauce that's about it. You will always see Shepard's pie, spaghetti with Neapolitan sauce ( basically tasted like blended tinned tomatoes) and that was cold before you even sat down to eat. Couldn't find anyone we spoke to from the UK who had anything positive to say about food.
Best place for food was the snack bar,the staff were great especially Mel only trouble was it closed at 4.30pm. The cocktails were basic but nice mainly because of the fruit juices. Majority are some type of fruit juice, local spirit they just zhuzh it up with either blue curacao or grenadine.
The entertainment was okay, annoying that sunbeds had to be removed to make space, should really have a stage for that. There were some impressive acrobatics but one act who did tricks with a ladder wasn't bad but repetitive how many tricks can you really do going up and down? Best entertainment was the pool basketball game which got real competitive. The entertainment team were poor at keeping an accurate score though and was too short.
Don't know why ice cream was only available for 2 hours a day.
Midnight soup don't bother unless you are tipsy and got the munchies, everything gets cold instantly.
