Just got back from some time in Andalucia and spent a couple of days in beautiful Cordoba.
2 days is perfect and I actually preferred it to Seville as compact and laid back.
Firstly, whatever you plan ( half it!). The heat is scorching (39degrees) and you need to take this in to account. Take a siesta between 2 and 6 as you will not want to do anything...trust me.
We stayed in hotel banos arabes in the juderia quarter and location was amazing.
Because we stayed there we had a free session in the spa baths and this was memorable and very relaxing as we booked a massage also.
I recommend this place highly.
First day we visited the must do's.
Mezquita, Bell Tower, Alcazar....that was enough.
In the evening we went out after 8pm and just had a few glasses of wine before eating at El Rincon De Carmen. This meal was lovely and ensure you read the reviews...they are true!
Second day we shopped and wandered over the Roman bridge and taking in frequent bar stops( to cool down??!!)
Evening we booked a group guided patio tour which I highly recommend as only about 15 euros per person but you learn so much more. This was 1800hrs to 2000 hrs and led us perfectly to our final event which was an andalusian horse display show at the the royal stables...truly memorable and jaw dropping. This started at 2100hrs so we had tapas prior. Also the patio tour started and finished at the front door of the stables.
Next day a 40 min train journey back to Seville.
All very straightforward and I hope this helps someone.
.we had an amazing time but dont forget..
.
ITS HOT!!!
