The restaurant was full and the lovely waitress made a table for me and my sister, instantly we felt comfortable and welcome. Everyone here had a smile on their face and the staff happy to talk and explain the menu, which although small is very well put together and all cooked from scratch. We had fresh pasta dishes and side of vegetables, wine and shared a desert for €65 - really good value and service! Would highly recommend this place, it’s off the beaten track and the best place we’ve eaten since being here 😋

We stopped to look at the menu and the owner was so warm and inviting that we decided to stay for dinner. I had the pumpkin ravioli, which was spectacular. The filling was the perfect balance of ricotta and pumpkin, delicately sweet and a little nutty (can’t stand overly sweet main dishes). I had a sparkling white wine, Ortrugo, which was a nice compliment. My husband had the spinach tortellini, which he assured me was also great (disclaimer: I didn’t try it because I was not about to share my pumpkin ravioli in exchange). You can eat in a dozen places in the area and get pizza or something completely typical, or you could try something unexpected at this lovely restaurant.

We have spent a great evening in this family restaurant. Owned and operated by the father (ex airline capitalism) his wife (ex cabin crew) and their daughter.
Italian welcome with a great smile and friendliness.
The dishes served were incredibly delicious.
I strongly suggest the tortelli with ricotta cheese and spinach (they look like candies)
Since the dish was so good I was tempted to try another dish which was a beef a Molino with ragu sauce another great dish .
The ravioli with pumpkin was great as well .
Bottom line
Traditionally hand made pasta served with a smile and a friendly chat was a great combination for a mouthwatering dinner .

Nice little coffee shop. Ok for a coffee or a break.we had breakfast there food was really average. You can probably do better at home.
Took some pancakes and fresh toasts , price was not indicated and we realized ont the check that they billed us 15€ for 2 very basic French Toast and 2 very basic pancake! Closed to be a scam!

Buongiorno, mi dispiace che non abbiate gradito i french toast ed i pancakes, non so cosa intendiate per basici visto che sono stati serviti con tutti gli accompagnamenti possibili: miele, sciroppo d'acero, burro, Nutella e mi sembra che abbiate gradito visto che i piatti sono tornati vuoti, vi sembra tanto €15 per pancakes e french toast con servizio al tavolo ? Ovvero 7,50€ a testa? Siamo sempre spiacenti quando i clienti non sono soddisfatti, ma sinceramente in questo caso non possiamo abbassare i prezzi che riteniamo adeguati per qualità e prezzo

My husband and I visited this restaurant last night on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. I'm so glad we listened to him! The owners, Germana and Pier are a wonderful couple and make you feel welcome. Germana took time to explain the menu and its origin. If you're looking for bog standard Italian food that you can find at any Italian restaurant in the US, this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for authentic, regional cuisine that's full of flavor, you've come to the right place.
I ordered the Tagliatelle al Gorgonzola - handmade pasta in a creamy Gorgonzola sauce with crispy prosciutto and my husband ordered ravioli in ragù. There was no complaint from either of us! As we took each bite, you could taste the love and attention that had been put into the meals. We finished our meal with Braziola (I might have spelled it incorrectly) - an almond cake with the texture similar to biscotti, accompanied by Marsala wine. Germana explained that we should dip the cake pieces into the wine before eating. It was a wonderful way to complete our meal.
The couple shared with us that they have only been open for 3 months (Germana is a former flight attendant and Pier is a retired pilot). I wish them all the best and much success with this restaurant. I will definitely return during my next visit to Milan and highly recommend you do as well!

On our last night in Milan, we chanced upon Barzac and it was a fantastic experience. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. If you want to experience a unique meal from the Emilia-Romagna region, Barzac is the place to come. Expect amazing food, a small intimate space, and a warm and talented husband and wife team who do it all (she works up front while he cooks amazing dishes). Trust their recommendations of what to get - you won't be disappointed. One final note, don't expect to find pizza or spaghetti at Barzac. Come here when you want to enjoy a fine regional Italian meal that Italians themselves would thoroughly enjoy,

We had dinner at Barzac one evening before we were headed out of Milan early the next morning for Zermatt- thus we were staying near Milan Centrale. I chose Barzac because I wanted a wonderful dining experience and I certainly got what I wished for in our meal at Barzac! I highly suggest reservations as it is a small space with limited seating- but the husband (chef) and wife (hostess) team run everything very efficiently. Drinks, wine, dinner and dessert were served timely. My Pumpkin ravioli was delicious as was my husband’s tagliatelle with Gorgonzola and pancetta. I would definitely eat here again if we find ourselves near Milan Centrale in the future and I have recommended Barzac to many people since dining here. Fabulous meal, friendly conversation. I wish the owners the very best of success!

My recent visit to Barzac, a charming restaurant nestled in Milan, was an unforgettable experience. This quaint eatery, with its limited yet cozy seating, offers an intimate dining atmosphere that is both rare and inviting in the bustling city. The fact that it’s small and has few tables adds to its exclusive charm, making a reservation essential for anyone wishing to indulge in this unique culinary experience.
From the moment we stepped in, the warmth and personal touch of the owners, who also manage the table service, were evident. It felt less like entering a restaurant and more like being welcomed into a friend’s home. Their passion for food and hospitality shone through every interaction, making our meal even more enjoyable.
Barzac’s menu is a celebration of local flavors and ingredients, hand-picked from small producers in the region. Each dish we savored was a delightful exploration of taste and tradition, presented with a simplicity that highlighted the quality of the ingredients.
The careful attention to detail in the decor, along with the warm lighting, created a cozy and inviting environment that complemented the meal beautifully.
The service at Barzac was exceptional. The owners, with their hands-on approach, provided personalized and attentive service that made us feel special and well-cared for. Their enthusiasm for their dishes and recommendations for wine pairings enriched our dining experience immensely.

We found this little “pearl” yesterday and what a lovely experience! Probably the best pasta I’ve ever had, and it was gluten-free (Tortelli ricotta and spinach). We liked it so much, so we came back this evening to get another round. I had the same meal two nights in a row, it was so delicious! My mom had two different kind of pasta, and she enjoyed them both! The owners are the sweetest couple and they were so kind and caring about their food and service. If we ever come back to Milan, this will be our first visit. I can highly recommend this restaurant. :-)

We happened upon Barzac one evening and enjoyed the food and service so much that we went back the next night. Barzac offers the very best of regional Italian home cooking. The pastas were cooked and dressed to perfection and every item on the menu that we tasted was delicious. The restaurant is owned and run by a husband and wife team and they are delightful. We highly recommend Barzac.

Homemade pasta and personal service!
If you are looking for a great authentic Italian place with great food and reasonable price this is the place to go. Any questions we had and any recommendations we asked for regarding the food or wine were promptly answered we had a wonderful dinner. Could not recommend Barzac more.

I am writing this review immediately after dinner because I felt it was so important to share how wonderful this restaurant is. We originally stopped by last night, but they were full, so we made a reservation for tonight. The owner was immediately helpful and offered to answer any questions. We wanted to try pasta so she gave us descriptions and helped us narrow down our selections.
The food itself was phenomenal. The pastas, which are made here, were absolutely amazing. We had a tortelli that was so delicate and perfect, and a gnocchi with beans that tasted like a comfort food made from the heart. Our main dish was one of the polentas, and the meat with it was tender and flavorful. For dessert we had an almond crumble dipped in a liqueur- the perfect ending to our meal.
Everything from the atmosphere, the food, and the service were top notch. We easily rate this as the best dinner of our trip this time, especially in Milan. I am so grateful we happened upon this lovely restaurant last night, because it led to una notte perfetta!

Every single serving if full of real homemade extremely delicious fabulously full of taste I had never come by. And owners are so polite and caring. Definitely a place to come back to many many more times. Amazing taste.

Omgoodness…… the food here was so delicious and flavorful. After a long day I wanted to treat myself to a good meal. This place was just a block away from my hotel it was convenient and to my surprise very delicious. I ordered beef anolini and a mixed green salad. Wow it did not disappoint at all. The owner was very welcoming and shared her suggestions for a meal to order in addition the wine that was paired with my meal was so good it was a medium bodied wine. The bread was also very good as well. Everything was home made.

From the food, to the wine, to the staff Barzac was an absolutely fantastic experience! My friends and I were on our last night in Milan and went out for a late dinner and when we arrived at Barzac, they were beginning to close up for the evening. The owner came over (probably noticing that we were tourists) and asked if we were familiar with the structure of the menu/portion sizes/etc. Because the restaurant was virtually empty, the owner paid very close attention to us, our food, and our wine, not sure if that happens during peak hours. He recommended a few dishes and a bottle of wine that did not disappoint. We ate at over 15 restaurants across the city, Barzac was by far the best food and atmosphere.
