So happy and glad to visit this restaurant! I was there with my husband for dinner as our last night treat before leaving Barcelona and it couldn’t finish better then with this amazing food and restaurant. Everything was great, the lovely helpful waiter who suggested us what to eat(even slightly changing the menu for me as I fancy eating homemade gnocchi but without fish) the food it self and the great atmosphere and music playing.
Would absolutely recommend to everyone if staying in Barcelona or even staying a bit further away as it’s definitely worth it to visit!! Coming back for sure🤗🤗

4 of us sat outside and the place was buzzing, busy both outside and in. Service was efficient and smart, everyone was really helpful and smiley and wanted to make sure that we had a great experience. My wife and I shared the frittura mista with curry mustard plus the aubergine, immensely enjoyed both but the aubergine was to die for - thick and rich and unctuous, bursting with flavor. For mains, we had the gnocchi with mussels (very different and subtle) and the linguini with lobster (delicate, well cooked). Others at the table got the lamb (rave reviews). We also shared a dessert (a play on a tiramisu, very rich and chocolatey). Overall, 2 courses each plus a shared dessert, plus wine, beer and limoncello, price was around 40-45 euros each tip included. A good price for the quality of the food and service. Will certainly be back, recommended

Situated in the heart of Barcelona city, a few minutes walking to the Red Molinos and the parallel subway .
As you enter the place you’re welcomed by a magnificent setting, a delightful bar marriage of antique modernity, a wonderful view of the workshop-like kitchen where you can see the chefs working.
The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters. I was served a wonderful cocktail then an appetizer artisanal delicious bread, with olive extra oil, waiting the exquisite Burrata. The main course consisted in a tasty Risotto; then ending with Red velvet dessert. All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food. The Restaurant also cater for all tastes by providing a large selection of the best wines of the region. You can easily get a smile out of the waitresses, the Owner and the hostess is always around willing to exchange some kind words with all the customers.
I had a pleasant dining experience with the most exquisite flavors.

I was looking forward to dining here. It was lively and trendy. The trouble started when I really didn’t care for much on the antipasto menu, and elected to order from the pasta and main course menu. I have done this several times in Italy. However, the waiter was insistent that one either share pasta or order antipasto plus either pastor or main course, due to timing and portion size. Fine. I decided on a dish of fried prawns and calamari and pasta. The calamari/prawns was mostly calamari, and tasted like it came from Friday’s or carraba’s. The pasta was excellent but portion size extremely small. I regret being pressured by the waiter into ordering this way. He really has no idea how I dine. I’m not a big portion person, but honestly the pasta and main course would have been less filling and more healthy than lousy fried squid. The atmosphere was ok. I guess if you are not American the classic rock vibe is cool. However, it seemed to be the same music you can hear on any radio station in the states from 95-99 on the dial. Service was rushed.

Great food & after a month of travelling Spain this was also great value for money (we found a lot of places were charging high prices but not doing anything special with the food or service) the dishes here were well thought out all delicious. We had some cocktails too & were with our 14yo son & the wait staff were happy to make him a mocktail for him.
The staff are all great too, really attentive & all very helpful
A big plus is they play music here (so many other places lack atmosphere by not playing any) so the atmosphere here much better & located in a nice area, a little less hustle & bustle than the centre of Barcelona

Benzina is my favorite Italian restaurant in Barcelona (and I’m from Naples). Pasta is delicious, al dente and the ingredients always fresh. What I like about it is that it’s different than any other Italian restaurant in town, as it’s not a traditional one!
Make sure you order a cocktail before starting your dinner, you won’t regret it!

The food was extraordinary! Very delicious. One’s palate was always surprised by the beautiful taste sensations of all the foods. We had the sea bass and the sole which were amazing. The deconstructed cannoli was to die for. Very attentive waiters (it doesn’t happen that much in Barcelona so be patient) and the atmosphere was cozy, comfortable, enjoyable.

Having visited last year and had one of the best Italian meals we’ve experienced anywhere, we wanted to try it again. It did not disappoint.
The waiters and hosts were superb: attentive, friendly and so helpful. I’m a vegetarian and the waiter went out of his way to recommend great dishes from each part of the menu.
There were four of us and we all enjoyed some of the best food we’ve had in the city. The portions for each course were perfect. The ambience was great and the surroundings are industrial chic- stylish and clean.
We can’t wait to go again and recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves high quality Italian food. This place is a gem!

There’s definitely a great vibe when having dinner at Benzina. Their playlist is eclectic, the cocktails on the menu link the name of the cocktail to famous records (such as Club Tropicana by WHAM) and the pasta they serve is top notch. We had spaghetti carbonara as it should be (guancale, eggs, pepper) and it tasted great. Our waiter was relaxed yet still very professional and prices are exactly where they should be. Looking for an Italian in Barcelona, go to Benzina.

Travelled to Barcelona with 5 friends for the weekend. We had booked Benzina for the Saturday night based on the reviews, and the fact that it was close to our accommodation. Before we left that night, we had booked again for the Sunday night! Between us all, we had the beef, the carbonara, the sole, the seabass, and the lamb. The beef was cooked to perfection on each occasion. The portion sizes were spot on, they left you full, but not stuffed. The deserts were light and full of flavour (Yuzu, Cannolo, Sferamisu).
Wines were very complimentary, and a great selection of cocktails. The decor was trendy, and the atmosphere relaxed. The staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and managed just the right level of attention (Hector on Saturday night, Chiara on Sunday night, and owner Badr). The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and the experience.
I couldn't recommend Benzina enough!

Amazing find in Barcelona for great Italian in a cool setting. Came in with low expectations after several restaurant failures during my recent trip to Spain, however, we were all blown away by every dish.
Must haves
- aubergine
- lobster pasta
- ravioli
Only disappointment was the carbonara which was too creamy.

Terrible service with very rude waiters. On top, I ordered pasta carbonara and it was terrible. Incredibly salty to the point it was impossible to eat. We told the waiter about it and we are still waiting to hear an apology from the chef or even to see a gesture of sympathy. I will never come back

One of the best resto’s in Barcelona.
The aubergine starter with Parmesan icecream was amazing, so good we ordered a second portion. It’s very cool and casual, great service and great chefs. Would return next time we visit Barcelona.

So pleased to have found this restaurant just by chance as it was not far from our hotel. The atmosphere is lovely, warm and lively without being too noisy, the waiters were helpful and attentive without being too obtrusive, the food was absolutely divine, presented beautifully and very tasty too! Plenty of options for non-meat eaters with veggie and fish dishes to choose from. We shared an amazing dessert of chocolate bomb, which melted when hot sauce was poured over! Highly recommend booking ahead to this lovely restaurant and would definitely return next time we visit Barcelona!

The best food and restaurants I know in Barcelona. Always something new on the menu and everything so so delicious and always fresh ingredients. You can taste the quality in every dish. If you don’t go there you honestly missed something. Super friendly service and best price quality ratio I’ve seen so far.
